clear_o perceive_v this_o to_o be_v the_o word_n of_o god_n than_o it_o do_v those_o thing_n which_o be_v self-evident_a and_o the_o conclusion_n logical_o deduce_v from_o there_o be_v no_o reason_n therefore_o that_o any_o one_o shall_v fear_v to_o acknowledge_v that_o assent_n to_o be_v also_o less_o certain_a notwithstanding_o it_o follow_v not_o upon_o this_o account_n that_o faith_n be_v uncertain_a for_o that_o which_o arise_v not_o to_o the_o certainty_n of_o the_o science_n be_v not_o therefore_o uncertain_a for_o although_o that_o certainty_n which_o be_v call_v moral_a be_v of_o a_o inferior_a degree_n to_o demonstration_n yet_o it_o be_v a_o true_a certainty_n leave_v the_o mind_n satisfy_v and_o free_a from_o doubt_n but_o how_o can_v a_o man_n be_v say_v to_o have_v a_o certainty_n great_a than_o that_o of_o science_n when_o he_o have_v not_o that_o certainty_n of_o evidence_n from_o the_o argument_n upon_o which_o the_o matter_n be_v ground_v it_o may_v be_v answer_v that_o no_o man_n can_v deny_v but_o there_o may_v be_v just_a cause_n why_o a_o man_n may_v adhere_v to_o the_o object_n of_o his_o faith_n more_o strong_o than_o the_o argument_n bring_v for_o the_o truth_n thereof_o do_v require_v for_o when_o a_o man_n be_v sufficient_o persuade_v by_o due_a reason_n and_o argument_n that_o what_o be_v propound_v to_o he_o for_o divine_a revelation_n be_v indeed_o such_o this_o man_n if_o he_o due_o attend_v and_o serious_o consider_v that_o it_o be_v god_n who_o speak_v he_o will_v be_v whole_o bend_v to_o yield_v obedience_n thereunto_o he_o will_v entertain_v the_o word_n of_o god_n with_o the_o high_a veneration_n he_o will_v close_o adhere_v to_o it_o and_o he_o will_v be_v full_o resolve_v to_o suffer_v and_o renounce_v all_o thing_n rather_o than_o withdraw_v his_o assent_n from_o those_o matter_n of_o faith_n which_o be_v contain_v in_o it_o and_o confirm_v by_o it_o from_o thence_o there_o arise_v in_o his_o mind_n a_o great_a or_o at_o least_o a_o more_o effectual_a adherence_n to_o the_o article_n of_o his_o faith_n than_o there_o be_v in_o science_n for_o the_o mind_n so_o affect_v and_o dispose_v do_v more_o affectionate_o embrace_v and_o more_o firm_o hold_v that_o word_n of_o god_n than_o any_o thing_n else_o by_o what_o light_n soever_o it_o be_v propound_v or_o by_o whatever_o strength_n of_o demonstration_n it_o be_v confirm_v neither_o be_v there_o any_o knowledge_n which_o he_o do_v so_o carefu_o retain_v nor_o be_v there_o any_o assent_n which_o he_o will_v suffer_v so_o hardly_o or_o with_o such_o difficulty_n to_o be_v force_v from_o he_o which_o firmness_n of_o faith_n and_o strong_a adherence_n of_o mind_n to_o the_o object_n of_o it_o be_v not_o produce_v by_o the_o evidence_n thereof_o but_o by_o the_o great_a weight_n and_o moment_n of_o it_o for_o the_o mind_n be_v enlighten_v by_o the_o holy_a spirit_n understand_v
