christ_n to_o himself_o but_o if_o he_o look_v upon_o these_o thing_n in_o himself_o and_o thereupon_o conclude_v that_o because_o these_o thing_n be_v in_o his_o heart_n christ_n dwell_v there_o by_o faith_n and_o therefore_o he_o be_v accept_v of_o god_n and_o justify_v and_o shall_v certain_o be_v save_v and_o so_o make_v they_o a_o evidence_n of_o his_o believe_v or_o the_o ground_n of_o his_o believe_v that_o he_o have_v believe_v this_o be_v neither_o to_o turn_v back_o from_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n to_o the_o covenant_n of_o work_n nor_o from_o christ_n to_o himself_o so_o that_o these_o thing_n in_o his_o heart_n be_v the_o daughter_n of_o faith_n and_o the_o offspring_n of_o christ_n though_o they_o can_v at_o first_o produce_v or_o bring_v forth_o their_o mother_n 23._o yet_o may_v they_o in_o time_n of_o need_n nourish_v she_o nom._n but_o i_o pray_v you_o sir_n be_v there_o not_o other_o thing_n beside_o these_o that_o he_o say_v he_o find_v in_o himself_o that_o a_o man_n may_v look_v upon_o as_o evidence_n of_o his_o believe_a or_o as_o you_o call_v they_o as_o ground_n of_o his_o believe_v that_o he_o have_v believe_v evan._n yea_o indeed_o beside_o these_o inward_a qualification_n that_o be_v in_o the_o heart_n there_o be_v outward_a qualification_n in_o the_o life_n as_o have_v respect_n unto_o all_o christ_n commandment_n which_o a_o man_n may_v look_v upon_o as_o a_o evidence_n provide_v that_o he_o be_v sure_a it_o flow_v from_o those_o within_o nom._n but_o sir_n how_o shall_v a_o man_n know_v that_o evan._n the_o sure_a and_o best_a way_n to_o know_v this_o be_v for_o a_o man_n to_o examine_v himself_o whether_o he_o do_v first_o believe_v in_o christ_n and_o then_o reform_v his_o life_n and_o so_o make_v his_o faith_n the_o cause_n of_o the_o change_n of_o his_o life_n or_o whether_o he_o do_v first_o reform_v his_o life_n and_o then_o believe_v and_o so_o make_v his_o reformation_n of_o life_n the_o cause_n of_o his_o faith_n if_o he_o be_v sure_a he_o do_v the_o former_a then_o may_v he_o be_v sure_a that_o his_o outward_a qualification_n proceed_v from_o his_o inward_a and_o so_o be_v right_a and_o true_a but_o if_o he_o do_v the_o latter_a then_o may_v he_o be_v sure_a that_o they_o be_v wrong_a and_o false_a evidence_n nom._n then_o true_o sir_n i_o have_v not_o as_o yet_o any_o right_a and_o true_a evidence_n of_o faith_n evan._n if_o you_o have_v not_o then_o as_o i_o tell_v you_o it_o be_v time_n to_o believe_v that_o so_o you_o may_v have_v they_o that_o be_v right_a and_o true_a neo._n but_o sir_n i_o pray_v you_o let_v i_o ask_v you_o one_o question_n more_o touch_v this_o point_n and_o that_o be_v suppose_v that_o hereafter_o i_o shall_v see_v no_o outward_a evidence_n and_o question_n whether_o i_o have_v ever_o any_o true_a inward_a evidence_n and_o so_o whether_o i_o do_v ever_o true_o believe_v or_o no_o what_o must_v i_o do_v then_o evan._n indeed_o it_o be_v possible_a you_o may_v come_v to_o such_o a_o condition_n and_o therefore_o you_o do_v well_o to_o provide_v aforehand_o for_o it_o now_o than_o if_o ever_o it_o shall_v please_v the_o lord_n to_o give_v you_o over_o to_o such_o a_o condition_n first_o let_v i_o warn_v you_o to_o take_v heed_n of_o force_v and_o constrain_a yourself_o to_o yield_v obedience_n to_o god_n commandment_n to_o the_o end_n you_o may_v so_o get_v a_o evidence_n of_o faith_n again_o or_o a_o ground_n to_o lay_v
