that_o refuse_v not_o a_o nickname_n or_o reproach_n for_o profession_n of_o the_o truth_n bless_v be_v you_o that_o be_v reproach_v for_o christ_n sake_n for_o great_a be_v your_o reward_n in_o heaven_n and_o to_o they_o who_o have_v rather_o lose_v a_o preferment_n or_o a_o great_a friend_n then_o offend_v god_n and_o a_o good_a conscience_n bless_v be_v you_o that_o be_v strip_v of_o your_o friend_n and_o mean_n for_o christ_n sake_n for_o great_a etc._n etc._n and_o to_o they_o that_o have_v rather_o endure_v sickness_n and_o death_n then_o seek_v to_o wizard_n and_o soothsayer_n repentance_n and_o upon_o his_o repentance_n give_v he_o a_o pardon_n this_o rule_n of_o the_o gospel_n be_v deliver_v by_o our_o saviour_n when_o he_o say_v i_o come_v not_o to_o call_v the_o evangelicall_n and_o favourable_a construction_n of_o the_o gospel_n this_o be_v prove_v in_o both_o the_o part_n thereof_o by_o that_o of_o the_o apostle_n 1_o cor._n 2.15_o where_o speak_v of_o when_o he_o be_v come_v before_o god_n to_o be_v instruct_v in_o his_o word_n or_o whether_o he_o have_v not_o go_v into_o god_n house_n without_o think_v whither_o he_o be_v a_o go_v or_o final_o whether_o he_o have_v not_o carry_v some_o sin_n with_o he_o into_o the_o church_n which_o no_o persuasion_n of_o the_o preacher_n can_v make_v he_o to_o forsake_v those_o that_o have_v prepare_v themselves_o before_o hand_n may_v comfort_v themselves_o with_o this_o thought_n that_o the_o good_a seed_n have_v be_v sow_v in_o good_a ground_n and_o therefore_o will_v bring_v forth_o fruit_n distraction_n of_o mind_n when_o they_o be_v about_o the_o work_n and_o be_v every_o way_n indispose_v for_o learning_n of_o god_n law_n thomas_n by_o be_v once_o absent_a when_o christ_n appear_v to_o his_o disciple_n lose_v a_o great_a measure_n of_o faith_n which_o they_o gain_v who_o be_v present_a our_o lord_n show_v they_o his_o hand_n and_o his_o side_n and_o use_v argument_n of_o persuasion_n to_o convince_v they_o of_o the_o truth_n of_o his_o resurrection_n and_o they_o believe_v it_o but_o thomas_n want_v these_o ground_n of_o faith_n remain_v faithless_a in_o that_o great_a point_n of_o our_o lord_n resurrection_n as_o be_v express_v at_o large_a john_n 20._o and_o so_o he_o that_o be_v absent_a when_o he_o shall_v not_o may_v chance_n miss_v of_o those_o assistance_n of_o grace_n that_o may_v guide_v he_o in_o the_o way_n of_o godliness_n consequent_o he_o that_o be_v careful_a to_o thrive_v in_o grace_n must_v continue_v in_o well_o do_v and_o not_o do_v good_a duty_n by_o spurt_n and_o as_o his_o fancy_n lead_v he_o 2._o he_o that_o will_v be_v constant_a must_v not_o do_v his_o service_n by_o half_n so_o they_o do_v who_o in_o their_o private_a exercise_n do_v out_o of_o idleness_n and_o indevotion_n curtal_n and_o abbreviat_v either_o their_o prayer_n or_o their_o meditation_n or_o any_o other_o useful_a exercise_n but_o more_o especial_o they_o do_v so_o who_o at_o time_n of_o public_a service_n do_v come_v when_o part_n thereof_o be_v past_a or_o go_v away_o before_o all_o be_v end_v such_o man_n run_v into_o a_o twofold_a danger_n one_o that_o they_o do_v offend_v god_n by_o slight_v of_o his_o service_n and_o the_o other_o that_o they_o may_v lose_v the_o blessing_n which_o usual_o accompany_v the_o time_n of_o divine_a
