as_o in_o the_o church_n which_o he_o can_v not_o have_v fear_v if_o he_o have_v suppose_v as_o in_o charity_n he_o well_o may_v that_o those_o who_o be_v set_v over_o the_o people_n here_o in_o both_o state_n be_v indeed_o true_a christian_n yea_o he_o not_o only_o confess_v his_o expectation_n but_o his_o earnest_a desire_n also_o of_o such_o combustion_n and_o disturbance_n when_o he_o say_v that_o it_o be_v the_o saint_n desire_v to_o have_v the_o fire_n kindle_v as_o if_o he_o be_v come_v among_o turk_n or_o papist_n and_o not_o among_o the_o church_n of_o christ_n among_o who_o paul_n labour_v to_o quench_v all_o fire_n of_o contention_n but_o with_o the_o corinthian_n roman_n and_o galatian_n and_o wish_v that_o those_o be_v cut_v off_o who_o trouble_v they_o set_v a_o mark_n upon_o such_o as_o make_v division_n and_o a_o note_n of_o a_o carnal_a mind_n therefore_o this_o objection_n will_v not_o save_v he_o his_o offence_n be_v yet_o without_o excuse_n he_o do_v intend_v to_o trouble_v our_o peace_n and_o he_o have_v effect_v it_o therefore_o it_o be_v a_o contempt_n of_o that_o authority_n which_o require_v every_o man_n to_o study_v peace_n and_o truth_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v a_o seditious_a contempt_n in_o that_o he_o stir_v up_o other_o to_o join_v in_o the_o disturbance_n of_o that_o peace_n which_o he_o be_v bind_v by_o solemn_a oath_n to_o preserve_v but_o here_o he_o put_v in_o a_o plea_n that_o he_o do_v take_v the_o only_a right_a way_n for_o peace_n by_o hold_v out_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n in_o the_o covenant_n of_o free_a grace_n for_o without_o christ_n there_o be_v no_o peace_n but_o get_v christ_n and_o we_o have_v all_o to_o this_o we_o reply_v first_o we_o will_v demand_v of_o he_o what_o he_o account_v a_o hold_v forth_o a_o covenant_n of_o grace_n for_o save_v that_o he_o say_v this_o be_v a_o covenant_n of_o grace_n that_o be_v a_o covenant_n of_o work_n no_o man_n can_v discern_v any_o such_o thing_n by_o his_o proof_n for_o there_o be_v not_o any_o one_o argument_n in_o his_o sermon_n to_o convince_v the_o judgement_n that_o so_o it_o be_v and_o if_o we_o search_v the_o scripture_n we_o find_v in_o the_o old_a testament_n jer._n 31._o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n to_o be_v this_o i_o will_v write_v my_o law_n in_o their_o heart_n or_o i_o will_v be_v their_o god_n etc._n etc._n and_o in_o the_o new_a testament_n we_o find_v he_o that_o believe_v in_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n shall_v be_v save_v and_o that_o it_o be_v of_o faith_n that_o it_o may_v be_v of_o grace_n but_o other_o covenant_n of_o grace_n then_o these_o or_o to_o the_o same_o effect_n be_v not_o in_o our_o bibles_n again_o though_o it_o be_v true_a that_o get_v christ_n and_o we_o have_v all_o in_o some_o respect_n yet_o we_o must_v remember_v he_o of_o what_o he_o say_v with_o the_o same_o breath_n that_o truth_n and_o external_a peace_n can_v possible_o stand_v together_o how_o then_o will_v he_o have_v we_o believe_v that_o such_o a_o hold_v forth_o christ_n shall_v bring_v the_o desire_a peace_n this_o be_v somewhat_o like_o the_o jewish_a corban_n i_o will_v give_v to_o god_n and_o he_o shall_v help_v my_o parent_n or_o as_o when_o a_o poor_a man_n stand_v in_o need_n of_o such_o relief_n as_o i_o may_v give_v he_o instead_o there_o of_o i_o pray_v to_o god_n to_o bless_v he_o and_o tell_v he_o that_o the_o blessing_n of_o god_n make_v rich_a or_o as_o i_o give_v a_o lawyer_n a_o fee_n to_o plead_v my_o cause_n and_o to_o procure_v i_o justice_n and_o when_o the_o day_n of_o hear_v come_v he_o make_v a_o long_a speech_n in_o commend_v the_o justice_n of_o the_o king_n and_o persuade_v i_o to_o get_v his_o favour_n because_o he_o be_v the_o fountain_n of_o justice_n this_o be_v to_o reprove_v the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n by_o look_v that_o the_o supreme_a and_o first_o cause_n shall_v produce_v all_o effect_n without_o the_o use_n of_o subordinate_a acd_v near_a cause_n gather_v from_o that_o which_o be_v here_o before_o mention_v viz._n that_o every_o truth_n be_v not_o seasonable_a at_o all_o time_n if_o we_o shall_v grant_v that_o what_o master_n wheelwright_n etc._n etc._n we_o suppose_v have_v no_o warrant_n of_o truth_n we_o may_v instance_n in_o other_o like_a passage_n as_o his_o ordinary_a incite_n to_o spiritual_a combat_n by_o example_n of_o bodily_a fight_n and_o bloody_a victory_n be_v very_o unsuitable_a but_o these_o may_v suffice_v to_o prove_v that_o all_o he_o speak_v be_v not_o true_a and_o by_o this_o be_v the_o offence_n more_o aggravate_v for_o if_o it_o be_v seditious_a only_o in_o the_o manner_n it_o must_v needs_o be_v much_o worse_a when_o the_o matter_n itself_o also_o be_v untrue_a but_o if_o any_o shall_v yet_o pretend_v want_n of_o satisfaction_n by_o all_o that_o have_v be_v produce_v for_o indeed_o it_o be_v beyond_o reason_n how_o far_o prejudice_n have_v prevail_v to_o captivate_v some_o judgement_n
