and_o as_o to_o the_o body_n of_o believer_n we_o need_v not_o speak_v of_o the_o rude_a and_o carnal_a multitude_n who_o rest_v on_o their_o outward_a oblation_n and_o look_v no_o further_a than_o sense_n can_v reach_v we_o think_v with_o etc._n with_o english_a divine_v on_o joh._n 16.24_o tolet_n cajetan_n ibid._n calvin_n mayer_n diodati_n etc._n etc._n judicous_a divine_n that_o they_o do_v not_o use_v to_o express_v the_o name_n of_o christ_n of_o the_o messiah_n or_o of_o the_o mediator_n in_o their_o prayer_n albeit_o rely_v on_o his_o merit_n and_o satisfaction_n they_o expect_v to_o be_v hear_v and_o thus_o they_o do_v not_o ask_v formal_o and_o express_o in_o his_o name_n but_o virtual_o and_o real_o and_o therefore_o our_o lord_n in_o that_o perfect_a pattern_n of_o prayer_n which_o he_o teach_v his_o disciple_n though_o between_o as_o it_o be_v the_o levitical_a and_o gospel_n way_n of_o worship_n yet_o do_v not_o enjoin_v they_o to_o ask_v express_o in_o his_o name_n and_o that_o place_n joh._n 16.24_o which_o may_v be_v object_v against_o their_o pray_v in_o the_o name_n of_o christ_n do_v only_o serve_v to_o clear_v this_o distinction_n for_o it_o may_v be_v suppose_v that_o christ_n there_o do_v not_o simple_o deny_v that_o his_o apostle_n have_v ask_v any_o thing_n in_o his_o name_n can_v these_o who_o know_v he_o to_o be_v the_o saviour_n of_o of_o
