of_o god_n his_o spirit_n the_o earnest_n of_o his_o covenant_n this_o spirit_n serve_v for_o a_o light_n in_o we_o to_o discern_v our_o salvation_n afar_o off_o for_o a_o witness_n to_o testify_v to_o our_o spirit_n that_o we_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n and_o god_n be_v faithful_a he_o will_v not_o suffer_v his_o truth_n to_o fail_v this_o also_o do_v settle_v the_o faith_n of_o the_o elect_a in_o all_o the_o tribulation_n of_o life_n i_o be_o the_o son_n or_o daughter_n of_o god_n i_o know_v it_o by_o the_o spirit_n which_o he_o have_v give_v i_o which_o lead_v my_o understanding_n into_o the_o way_n of_o truth_n which_o convert_v my_o affection_n and_o frame_v they_o to_o his_o love_n which_o direct_v my_o way_n and_o order_v they_o to_o his_o obedience_n this_o spirit_n do_v teach_v i_o to_o lay_v hold_n on_o the_o promise_n of_o grace_n and_o to_o challenge_v my_o part_n in_o they_o these_o promise_n do_v lift_v i_o up_o as_o high_a as_o to_o the_o decree_n of_o my_o election_n and_o therefore_o i_o will_v not_o fear_v david_n go_v far_a i_o be_o thou_o o_o save_v i_o for_o the_o interest_n that_o we_o have_v in_o the_o love_n of_o god_n do_v send_v we_o to_o he_o for_o salvation_n doct._n 2_o 2._o though_o god_n love_v his_o people_n and_o have_v all_o power_n in_o his_o hand_n to_o save_v they_o yet_o he_o do_v use_v mean_n and_o raise_v up_o out_o of_o themselves_o saviour_n the_o providence_n of_o god_n work_v by_o mean_n even_o from_o among_o ourselves_o to_o effect_v our_o preservation_n 1._o because_o his_o immediate_a operation_n be_v full_a of_o terror_n and_o therefore_o we_o can_v so_o well_o endure_v they_o therefore_o the_o people_n pray_v moses_n to_o speak_v to_o they_o and_o desire_v that_o god_n may_v speak_v no_o more_o to_o they_o the_o angel_n that_o bring_v word_n to_o mary_n that_o she_o shall_v conceive_v a_o son_n by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n begin_v his_o message_n with_o fear_v not_o the_o angel_n that_o proclaim_v the_o birth_n of_o christ_n to_o the_o shepherd_n say_v to_o they_o fear_v not_o we_o have_v so_o much_o cause_n to_o fear_v in_o respect_n of_o our_o own_o unworthiness_n that_o if_o god_n do_v not_o abate_v somewhat_o of_o the_o splendour_n of_o his_o glorious_a majesty_n by_o the_o employment_n of_o mean_n familiar_a to_o we_o we_o can_v not_o abide_v it_o 2._o god_n use_v weak_a mean_n to_o effect_v his_o will_n do_v magnify_v his_o own_o strength_n for_o his_o strength_n be_v make_v perfect_a through_o weakness_n whereby_o we_o be_v teach_v 1._o to_o content_v ourselves_o with_o the_o mean_n in_o the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n ordain_v for_o our_o preservation_n not_o expect_v miraculous_a and_o extraordinary_a subvention_n the_o rich_a man_n brethren_n shall_v not_o have_v a_o preacher_n come_v to_o they_o from_o the_o dead_a etc._n luk._n 16.27_o etc._n etc._n to_o give_v they_o warning_n that_o they_o come_v not_o to_o that_o place_n of_o torment_n where_o their_o
