but_o that_o he_o speak_v to_o they_o of_o a_o better_a life_n after_o this_o and_o the_o mean_n of_o attain_v it_o 40._o for_o it_o be_v his_o decree_n also_o that_o every_o one_o who_o see_v the_o work_n that_o i_o do_v v._n 36._o and_o attentive_o consider_v the_o evidence_n whereby_o it_o appear_v that_o i_o come_v from_o god_n do_v thereupon_o believe_v and_o follow_v my_o doctrine_n that_o he_o i_o say_v shall_v have_v everlasting_a life_n and_o that_o i_o shall_v for_o that_o end_n raise_v he_o up_o at_o the_o last_o day_n now_o as_o my_o father_n do_v not_o expect_v that_o i_o shall_v save_v any_o but_o those_o that_o believe_v and_o obey_v the_o gospel_n so_o neither_o do_v he_o expect_v that_o i_o shall_v bring_v any_o to_o faith_n but_o those_o that_o be_v of_o teachable_a disposition_n but_o if_o man_n obstinate_o set_v themselves_o to_o oppose_v all_o mean_n of_o conviction_n and_o reformation_n it_o be_v no_o part_n of_o the_o trust_v commit_v to_o i_o by_o the_o father_n to_o reclaim_v they_o notwithstanding_o their_o incorrigibleness_n v._o 40._o to_o see_v jesus_n signify_v the_o same_o that_o it_o do_v v._o 36._o i._n e._n see_v his_o miracle_n and_o all_o other_o testimony_n of_o a_o divine_a authority_n that_o be_v discernible_a in_o he_o only_o 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d seem_v to_o note_v a_o attentive_a consideration_n of_o they_o which_o be_v proper_a to_o ingenuous_a and_o honest_a man_n and_o will_v certain_o produce_v faith_n whereas_o 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d v._o 36._o may_v signify_v that_o careless_a and_o superficial_a sight_n of_o his_o work_n proper_a to_o those_o man_n in_o who_o prejudice_n so_o prevail_v that_o they_o see_v and_o yet_o believe_v not_o now_o that_o our_o saviour_n do_v here_o and_o elsewhere_o repeat_v his_o doctrine_n concern_v that_o inward_a work_n of_o god_n viz._n a_o honest_a and_o godly_a disposition_n be_v a_o argument_n that_o he_o lay_v great_a stress_n upon_o it_o and_o that_o indeed_o this_o be_v the_o main_a thing_n they_o be_v to_o take_v pain_n with_o themselves_o about_o for_o the_o outward_a evidence_n be_v give_v they_o whether_o they_o will_v or_o not_o but_o the_o inward_a preparation_n without_o which_o the_o outward_a evidence_n will_v do_v they_o no_o good_a at_o all_o must_v in_o some_o part_n be_v their_o own_o work_n as_o well_o as_o god_n which_o be_v plain_a from_o
