may_v be_v a_o coherence_n of_o all_o the_o parcel_n in_o the_o whole_a without_o any_o redundancy_n and_o although_o such_o a_o body_n of_o truth_n full_o and_o clear_o deliver_v may_v suffice_v to_o man_n that_o be_v free_a from_o all_o prejudice_n and_o of_o able_a part_n to_o direct_v they_o in_o all_o case_n of_o practice_n which_o may_v be_v incident_a to_o the_o course_n of_o their_o life_n yet_o because_o the_o work_n be_v not_o to_o be_v compile_v for_o they_o alone_o but_o for_o other_o also_o and_o because_o many_o doubt_n and_o scruple_n of_o conscience_n be_v and_o will_v be_v advantage_n of_o instruction_n direction_n correction_n comfort_n reproof_n and_o conviction_n tend_v to_o set_v forward_a peace_n and_o joy_n through_o righteousness_n and_o holiness_n in_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n or_o whatsoever_o blessing_n else_o any_o shall_v stand_v in_o need_n of_o in_o their_o several_a condition_n all_o this_o i_o say_v we_o be_v debtor_n to_o procure_v unto_o they_o conscience_n to_o be_v such_o as_o we_o believe_v it_o to_o be_v and_o in_o reference_n to_o our-selve_n the_o good_a opinion_n other_o have_v of_o our_o sincerity_n zeal_n and_o ability_n in_o the_o way_n of_o the_o profession_n do_v oblige_v we_o in_o honesty_n to_o endeavour_v to_o the_o utmost_a to_o answer_v their_o expectation_n and_o maintain_v the_o honour_n of_o our_o good_a name_n in_o relation_n to_o our_o religion_n in_o these_o respect_v i_o say_v the_o complete_n of_o this_o practical_a body_n of_o divinity_n will_v be_v of_o special_a use_n as_o well_o for_o the_o honour_n of_o the_o profession_n as_o for_o our_o credit_n in_o uphold_v it_o for_o whereas_o nothing_o do_v so_o much_o either_o scandalize_v the_o weak_a or_o stagger_v the_o ignorant_a at_o the_o profession_n of_o the_o protestant_a religion_n or_o give_v advantage_n on_o the_o one_o hand_n unto_o the_o papist_n to_o seduce_v silly_a soul_n to_o a_o superstitious_a worship_n as_o this_o reproach_n that_o we_o be_v all_o break_a to_o piece_n among_o our-selve_n and_o divide_v in_o our_o sense_n about_o religion_n have_v no_o certainty_n in_o any_o thing_n on_o the_o other_o hand_n unto_o the_o self-conceited_a libertine_n to_o entice_v high_a mind_a zelots_n to_o the_o pride_n of_o singular_a saintship_n as_o this_o other_o reproach_n that_o we_o rest_v in_o practice_n of_o form_n and_o be_v destitute_a of_o the_o power_n of_o godliness_n have_v nothing_o that_o be_v spiritual_a in_o our_o profession_n whereas_o i_o say_v both_o these_o adversary_n labour_v different_a way_n and_o upon_o colourable_a pretence_n take_v from_o particular_a misdemeanour_n wrongful_o apply_v unto_o the_o whole_a substance_n of_o religion_n to_o discredit_v and_o blemish_v the_o profession_n of_o the_o truth_n which_o we_o minister_n be_v chief_o bind_v to_o uphold_v there_o can_v be_v no_o course_n either_o more_o answerable_a to_o the_o nature_n of_o our_o call_v or_o so_o proper_a to_o stop_v the_o mouth_n of_o these_o adversary_n or_o so_o fit_a to_o settle_v the_o waver_a thought_n of_o unstable_a soul_n or_o more_o effectual_a to_o vindicate_v the_o credit_n of_o the_o profession_n from_o the_o aspersion_n of_o division_n of_o uncertainty_n of_o formality_n and_o of_o the_o want_n of_o spiritual_a power_n then_o to_o make_v up_o this_o practical_a body_n of_o divinity_n for_o it_o be_v compose_v of_o those_o many_o positive_a doctrine_n which_o be_v undeniable_o evident_a in_o the_o scripture_n which_o be_v understand_v will_v be_v clear_a to_o the_o conscience_n by_o their_o own_o light_n which_o will_v manifest_v all_o the_o true_a ground_n of_o spiritual_a knowledge_n not_o fantastical_o but_o with_o real_a demonstration_n and_o which_o unanimous_o all_o protestant_n will_v full_o acknowledge_v to_o be_v the_o substance_n of_o their_o profession_n and_o religion_n i_o say_v those_o doctrine_n be_v gather_v into_o a_o full_a body_n will_v stand_v as_o a_o uncontrollable_a witness_n for_o the_o credit_n of_o the_o truth_n against_o all_o these_o injurious_a reproach_n nor_o can_v it_o be_v imagine_v that_o in_o the_o great_a multitude_n and_o variety_n of_o particular_a opinion_n in_o the_o

the_o interest_n of_o christianity_n which_o be_v nothing_o else_o but_o by_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o scripture_n and_o the_o life_n of_o the_o spirit_n to_o bring_v man_n to_o walk_v orderly_o before_o god_n and_o man_n and_o live_v in_o the_o communion_n which_o the_o member_n of_o christ_n owe_v to_o each_o other_o and_o if_o we_o aim_v not_o at_o this_o even_a towards_o our_o adversary_n to_o bring_v they_o hereunto_o we_o deal_v not_o with_o they_o as_o christian_n ought_v to_o do_v but_o forsake_v our_o profession_n now_o it_o be_v neither_o the_o convince_a they_o of_o their_o particular_a error_n without_o further_a instruction_n nor_o the_o lay_v open_a of_o their_o shame_n nor_o the_o vex_v of_o their_o spirit_n by_o trouble_v their_o person_n or_o stop_v their_o profession_n that_o will_v bring_v they_o to_o any_o of_o these_o holy_a duty_n which_o uphold_v the_o truth_n of_o christianity_n but_o this_o way_n of_o deal_n will_v rather_o set_v they_o further_o off_o in_o their_o affection_n both_o from_o the_o love_n of_o the_o truth_n and_o from_o we_o so_o that_o when_o we_o shall_v offer_v they_o mean_v tend_v direct_o to_o that_o which_o be_v true_o their_o way_n to_o life_n they_o will_v reject_v the_o same_o only_o because_o they_o come_v from_o that_o hand_n which_o have_v make_v itself_o utter_o hateful_a unto_o they_o these_o mistake_v weaken_v the_o cause_n great_o but_o the_o universal_a neglect_n which_o be_v in_o two_o main_a thing_n do_v it_o far_o more_o the_o first_o be_v the_o neglect_n of_o duty_n in_o use_v spiritual_a main_a interest_n of_o the_o cause_n the_o first_o neglect_n which_o be_v of_o the_o mean_n suitable_a to_o the_o prosecution_n of_o the_o cause_n do_v proceed_v from_o the_o forename_a mistake_n which_o indeed_o make_v some_o professor_n manage_v protestancy_n as_o a_o state_n religion_n rather_o than_o a_o true_a profession_n of_o christianity_n and_o so_o they_o take_v their_o strength_n chief_o against_o dissenter_n from_o state-authority_n and_o practice_n subordinate_a thereunto_o in_o a_o worldly_a way_n of_o policy_n rather_o than_o from_o the_o work_n of_o god_n and_o the_o
