CXXXVII BY the rivers of Babylon there we sat down yea we wept when we remembred Zion OF Babylon the rivers by there sat we down together Yea we did weep when as we there on Zion did remember 2 We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof 3 For there they that caried us away captive required of us a song 2 In midst there of the willowes on our harps we hanged thus 3 For they that there us captives led requir'd a song of us And they that wasted us required of us mirth saying Sing us one of the songs of Zion And they also that wasted us requir'd us mirth to bring They said to us one of the songs of Zion to us sing 4 How shall we sing the Lords song in a strange land 5 If I forget thee O Ierusalem let my right hand forget her cunning 4 O how the Lords song shall we sing thus in a strange land set 5 Let my right hand forget her skill if Salem I forget 6 If I do not remember thee let my tongue cleave to the roof my mouth if I prefer not Ierusalem above my chief joy 6 If I forget thee let my tongue from my mouths roof not move If I Jerus●…lem not prefer my chiefest joy above 7 Remember O Lord the children of Edom in the day of Ierusalem who said Rase it rase it even to the foundation thereof 7 Remember Edoms children Lord in Jerusalems day Who ev'n to its foundation rase rase it then did say 8 O daughter of Babylon who art to be destroyed happy shall he be that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us 8 O daughter thou of Babylon who art destroyd to be Who thee rewards as thou us serv'd most happy be shall he 9 Happy shall he be that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones 9 Yea happy surely shall he be that those thy little ones Doth to him take and also them doth dash against the stones PSAL. CXXXVIII I Will praise thee with my whole heart before the gods will I sing praise to thee 2 I will worship towards thy holy temple BEfore the gods with all my heart I 'le praise sing praise to thee 2 Towards thy holy Temple thou shalt by me worship'd be And praise thy Name for thy loving kindnesse and for thy truth for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy Name I 'le praise thy Name both for thy truth thy kindnesse and thy love For thou hast magnifi'd thy word ev'n all thy Name above 3 In the day when I cried thou answeredst me and strengthnedst me with strength in my soul. 3 Thou in the day when I did cry an answer gav'st to me And thou with strength within my soul didst make me strong to be 4 All the kings of the earth shall praise thee O Lord when they hear the words of thy mouth 5 Yea they shall sing in the wayes of the Lord for great is the glory of the Lord. 4 When all earths Kings Lord of thy mouth hear words they shall thee praise 5 Yea in the Lords wayes shall they sing for great Gods glory is 6 Though the Lord be high yet hath he respect unto the lowly but the proud he knoweth afar off 6 Though that the Lord be high yet he to them that lowly are Hath a respect but who are proud he knoweth them afar 7 Though I wal●… in the midst of trouble thou wilt revive me thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies and thy right hand shall save me 7 Though I in midst of trouble walk I from thee life shall have 'Gainst my foes wrath thou'lt stretch thy hand thy right hand shall me save 8 The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me thy mercy O Lord endureth for ever forsake not the works of thine own hands 8 God will perfite what me concerns for ay thy mercy stands O Lord do thou not now forsake the works of thine own hands PSAL. CXXXIX O Lord thou hast searched me and known me 2 Thou knowest my down sitting and mine up-rising thou understandest my thought afar off O Lord thou hast me search'd known 2 Thou understandst what are My sitting down and rising up thou know'st my thought afarre 3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down and art acquainted with all my wayes
