have_v hear_v do_v grant_v that_o if_o there_o be_v no_o such_o change_n make_v by_o consecration_n this_o worship_n will_v be_v idolatrous_a and_o therefore_o we_o be_v upon_o good_a ground_n assure_v that_o no_o such_o change_n there_o be_v do_v utter_o abhor_v the_o very_a thought_n of_o such_o idolatrous_a worship_n and_o do_v believe_v ourselves_o bind_v in_o conscience_n to_o almighty_a god_n to_o undergo_v a_o thousand_o death_n rather_o than_o be_v guilty_a of_o it_o yea_o though_o we_o live_v in_o popish_a country_n but_o beside_o this_o we_o here_o in_o england_n owe_v ought_v to_o be_v admit_v without_o very_o good_a proof_n t._n and_o be_v it_o not_o then_o almost_o as_o strange_a that_o ever_o any_o man_n shall_v believe_v so_o absurd_a a_o doctrine_n not_o only_o without_o good_a proof_n but_o even_o against_o the_o express_a word_n of_o scripture_n as_o well_o as_o against_o his_o reason_n and_o sense_n l._n no_o matter_n for_o sense_n and_o reason_n they_o cry_v but_o how_o do_v you_o prove_v it_o to_o be_v against_o scripture_n t._n it_o may_v be_v prove_v from_o those_o place_n which_o tell_v we_o of_o our_o saviour_n be_v receive_v into_o distinguish_v bread_n from_o a_o stone_n or_o water_n from_o wine_n but_o by_o the_o colour_n the_o smell_n the_o taste_n or_o the_o like_a and_o thus_o do_v we_o here_o distinguish_v bread_n from_o flesh_n and_o wine_n from_o blood_n and_o do_v believe_v that_o to_o be_v bread_n which_o be_v both_o call_v so_o in_o scripture_n and_o which_o our_o own_o eye_n discern_v to_o be_v indeed_o so_o l._n but_o he_o say_v faith_n will_v teach_v we_o otherwise_o from_o the_o word_n of_o god_n t._n nay_o on_o the_o contrary_a you_o see_v god_n word_n call_v it_o bread_n after_o the_o consecration_n our_o sin_n wash_v away_o in_o this_o laver_n of_o regeneration_n hence_o than_o it_o be_v most_o evident_a that_o the_o efficacy_n of_o a_o sacrament_n consist_v not_o in_o have_v the_o natural_a christian_a faith_n contain_v in_o the_o gospel_n and_o sum_v up_o in_o the_o apostle_n creed_n here_o you_o may_v remember_v what_o i_o have_v before_o tell_v you_o that_o it_o be_v most_o vain_a very_a sink_n of_o all_o sensuality_n and_o profaneness_n but_o that_o which_o i_o will_v have_v you_o chief_o to_o consider_v be_v this_o that_o several_a of_o those_o doctrine_n of_o their_o bodily_a exercise_n that_o little_a profit_n the_o soul._n they_o have_v public_a prayer_n in_o a_o unknown_a tongue_n where_o it_o be_v enough_o for_o the_o people_n to_o be_v present_a though_o they_o scarce_o understand_v a_o word_n and_o what_o benefit_n can_v this_o afford_v to_o their_o mind_n here_o also_o contrary_a to_o god_n express_v command_v they_o have_v bring_v in_o the_o worship_n of_o image_n the_o invocation_n of_o saint_n and_o angel_n especial_o of_o the_o bless_a virgin_n as_o also_o the_o adoration_n of_o the_o host_n that_o be_v of_o the_o consecrate_a bread_n
