in_o this_o assertion_n that_o christ_n be_v not_o the_o ultimate_a and_o last_o rest_n of_o saint_n but_o the_o father_n and_o that_o christ_n be_v but_o the_o way_n to_o it_o which_o if_o christ_n be_v coessential_a with_o the_o father_n be_v false_a therefore_o his_o assertion_n do_v deny_v by_o a_o undeniable_a consequence_n the_o coessentiality_n of_o christ_n with_o the_o father_n and_o at_o another_o time_n he_o public_o in_o his_o preach_a speaking_z his_o opinion_n on_o john_n 3._o 13._o no_o man_n have_v ascend_v up_o into_o heaven_n but_o he_o that_o come_v down_o from_o if_o he_o be_v not_o the_o man_n he_o be_v take_v for_o concern_v his_o patience_n not_o i_o alone_o but_o many_o other_o do_v judge_v it_o stupidity_n rather_o than_o patience_n for_o scarce_o any_o one_o that_o have_v have_v the_o spirit_n of_o a_o man_n can_v have_v be_v dumb_a and_o not_o open_v his_o mouth_n when_o he_o be_v so_o palpable_o call_v forth_o to_o appear_v in_o the_o cause_n it_o cause_n at_o that_o time_n when_o there_o be_v so_o many_o to_o contradict_v he_o and_o yet_o he_o may_v feel_v man_n pulse_n by_o be_v there_o and_o discern_v who_o be_v his_o friend_n and_o who_o his_o enemy_n and_o who_o may_v probable_o be_v wrought_v upon_o and_o who_o not_o but_o he_o say_v it_o be_v to_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n that_o he_o exercise_v silence_n and_o patience_n but_o it_o be_v every_o to_o way_n the_o dishonour_n of_o god_n for_o if_o truth_n be_v in_o his_o tenant_n than_o he_o shameful_o desert_v it_o when_o he_o shall_v have_v commit_v himself_o to_o god_n in_o the_o maintain_n of_o it_o who_o ever_o oppose_v it_o and_o if_o error_n and_o heresy_n be_v in_o his_o
which_o derive_v his_o virtue_n from_o he_o and_o be_v dependent_a upon_o he_o a_o saviour_n need_v not_o to_o have_v come_v from_o heaven_n for_o god_n may_v have_v do_v it_o by_o any_o earthly_a creature_n or_o by_o any_o creature-instrument_n without_o any_o respect_n have_v to_o power_n or_o ability_n as_o inherent_a in_o it_o at_o all_o but_o by_o his_o own_o power_n manifest_v by_o it_o and_o so_o may_v have_v save_v by_o a_o apostle_n equal_o as_o by_o a_o christ_n but_o i_o shall_v prove_v what_o i_o design_n by_o another_o medium_n 2._o that_o doctrine_n which_o render_v christ_n office_n of_o king_n priest_n and_o prophet_n to_o perform_v the_o work_n which_o those_o office_n do_v call_v for_o for_o the_o save_n of_o man_n i_o shall_v begin_v with_o his_o prophetical_a work_n of_o that_o office_n and_o as_o a_o priest_n he_o be_v to_o offer_v up_o himself_o to_o god_n through_o the_o eternal_a spirit_n that_o he_o may_v purge_v away_o sin_n and_o that_o his_o blood_n may_v be_v of_o great_a efficacy_n than_o the_o blood_n of_o bull_n and_o goat_n and_o that_o he_o may_v purchase_v eternal_a redemption_n for_o believer_n which_o as_o a_o creature_n he_o can_v not_o do_v heb._n 9_o 12._o so_o that_o he_o disable_v he_o in_o the_o work_n of_o his_o priestly_a office_n in_o hold_v he_o only_o to_o be_v a_o creature_n and_o as_o a_o king_n he_o must_v conquer_v death_n by_o raise_v himself_o up_o from_o the_o dead_a which_o he_o be_v to_o suffer_v as_o a_o priest_n to_o take_v away_o sin_n and_o he_o must_v also_o destroy_v sin_n in_o its_o regnancie_n by_o kingly_a power_n in_o his_o member_n as_o he_o be_v to_o condemn_v it_o in_o its_o guilt_n by_o his_o death_n which_o work_n be_v above_o the_o power_n of_o any_o mere_a creature_n so_o that_o by_o this_o opinion_n of_o he_o he_o be_v make_v weak_a to_o perform_v all_o his_o office_n which_o yet_o he_o come_v into_o the_o world_n to_o accomplish_v and_o that_o he_o be_v make_v a_o insufficient_a saviour_n which_o overturn_v the_o gospel_n in_o the_o principal_a scope_n of_o it_o but_o of_o this_o more_o hereafter_o the_o last_o argument_n which_o i_o shall_v now_o produce_v do_v not_o act_v it_o but_o it_o be_v act_v in_o and_o by_o a_o other_o person_n the_o father_n send_v the_o son_n and_o the_o father_n in_o the_o son_n receive_v satisfaction_n and_o though_o the_o father_n and_o son_n be_v the_o same_o god_n yet_o they_o be_v not_o the_o same_o person_n nor_o be_v the_o satisfaction_n that_o the_o son_n give_v material_o consider_v give_v in_o the_o divine_a nature_n or_o godhead_n but_o the_o son_n take_v flesh_n and_o in_o that_o flesh_n by_o die_v and_o shed_v his_o blood_n give_v satisfaction_n so_o that_o it_o be_v from_o god_n but_o not_o in_o god_n if_o we_o speak_v of_o the_o next_o and_o immediate_a subject_n which_o be_v the_o manhood_n if_o the_o matter_n of_o the_o satisfaction_n be_v respect_v and_o though_o it_o may_v be_v say_v that_o god_n be_v satisfy_v before_o in_o reference_n to_o his_o own_o love_n to_o such_o person_n he_o do_v not_o repent_v of_o it_o in_o such_o sort_n as_o to_o cast_v they_o off_o nor_o be_v his_o purpose_n of_o glorify_v they_o one_o whit_n shake_v yet_o he_o be_v not_o satisfy_v after_o they_o have_v sin_v and_o after_o he_o have_v sentence_v they_o to_o death_n in_o point_n of_o
