have_v bring_v much_o sorrow_n grief_n &_o vexation_n of_o soul_n &_o spirit_n upon_o us._n the_o lord_n do_v know_v we_o speak_v true_o and_o great_a have_v be_v our_o cause_n of_o grief_n to_o see_v it_o be_v at_o full_a enough_o but_o you_o have_v by_o this_o your_o great_a sin_n bring_v a_o further_a evil_n upon_o we_o then_o to_o make_v our_o enemy_n rejoice_v over_o we_o say_v there_o there_o so_o will_v we_o have_v it_o for_o you_o have_v make_v our_o friend_n our_o enemy_n yea_o our_o familiar_a friend_n with_o who_o we_o take_v sweet_a counsel_n &_o go_v together_o to_o the_o house_n of_o god_n and_o such_o be_v the_o enmity_n betwixt_o we_o and_o they_o whereof_o you_o have_v be_v chief_a instrument_n as_o it_o can_v never_o have_v end_n whilst_o any_o of_o we_o live_v for_o it_o be_v that_o enmity_n which_o the_o lord_n put_v between_o the_o seed_n or_o the_o woman_n and_o the_o seed_n of_o the_o serpent_n which_o can_v have_v no_o end_n in_o they_o except_o we_o fall_v fall_v away_o it_o be_v impossible_a they_o shall_v be_v renew_v again_o by_o repentance_n see_v they_o crucify_v again_o to_o themselves_o the_o son_n of_o god_n and_o make_v a_o mock_n of_o he_o no_o hope_n to_o see_v the_o glorious_a light_n of_o god_n truth_n in_o the_o profession_n thereof_o to_o florrish_v &_o grow_v ffor_o whilst_o some_o church_n or_o congregation_n settle_v in_o the_o dregs_n of_o error_n and_o overtake_v with_o a_o secure_a cold_a freeze_a profession_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o some_o other_o church_n or_o congregation_n carry_v away_o with_o a_o headstronge_a blind_a zeal_n into_o many_o error_n will_v have_v all_o man_n come_v and_o follow_v christ_n or_o rather_o go_v out_o of_o the_o way_n or_o be_v freeze_v up_o with_o they_o and_o while_o man_n think_v they_o be_v to_o give_v they_o this_o preferment_n what_o hope_n be_v there_o of_o the_o growth_n of_o pure_a religion_n we_o therefore_o earnest_o beseech_v all_o people_n by_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n in_o who_o there_o be_v any_o faithful_a love_n of_o god_n truth_n not_o to_o respect_v any_o man_n neither_o to_o follow_v christ_n as_o you_o have_v they_o for_o a_o example_n but_o they_o it_o be_v with_o god_n all_o one_o wet_v because_o among_o all_o almost_o that_o profess_v christ_n there_o be_v so_o much_o a_o do_v about_o ordination_n o●_n lay_v on_o of_o hand_n as_o though_o olders_a hand_n be_v only_o sanctify_v to_o that_o use_n we_o pray_v the_o godly_a reader_n to_o receive_v full_a satisfaction_n from_o act._n 13.1.2.3_o where_o it_o do_v evident_o appear_v that_o the_o church_n or_o congregation_n at_o antiochia_n where_o there_o be_v no_o apostle_n nor_o elder_n by_o the_o direction_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n with_o fast_v &_o pray_v &_o lay_v on_o plain_o set_v down_o act._n 14.23_o &_o 6.3.5_o of_o magistracy_n the_o fowrth_a matter_n that_o by_o the_o assistance_n of_o god_n we_o purpose_v to_o speak_v to_o you_o of_o be_v to_o prove_v unto_o you_o and_o all_o that_o be_v contrary_a mind_v that_o king_n prince_n and_o magistrate_n rule_a &_o govern_v by_o the_o power_n of_o god_n with_o the_o sword_n of_o jus●_n may_v be_v member_n of_o be_v a_o obedience_n which_o god_n comande_v by_o the_o word_n and_o work_n of_o his_o grace_n wherein_o and_o whereby_o they_o that_o obey_v please_v god_n and_o be_v acceptable_a unto_o he_o this_o be_v the_o obedience_n that_o be_v better_a than_o sacrifice_n and_o this_o be_v the_o obedience_n that_o god_n require_v of_o king_n prince_n and_o magistrate_n even_o a_o diligent_a willing_a faithful_a obedience_n as_o be_v show_v from_o these_o word_n they_o be_v the_o minister_n of_o god_n applie_v themselves_o for_o the_o same_o thing_n and_o let_v we_o with_o all_o grace_n and_o holiness_n unto_o god_n and_o reverence_n unto_o this_o his_o holy_a ordinance_n consider_v what_o it_o be_v that_o they_o be_v to_o apply_v themselves_o unto_o it_o be_v to_o punish_v evil_a doer_n put_v a_o end_n to_o their_o strife_n &_o if_o they_o do_v not_o strive_v for_o worldly_a preferment_n or_o who_o shall_v be_v great_a in_o the_o world_n than_o our_o saviour_n christ_n speak_v not_o at_o all_o concern_v worldly_a superiority_n &_o rule_n although_o he_o bring_v a_o example_n from_o the_o world_n which_o be_v most_o usual_a in_o the_o scripture_n this_o controversy_n than_o we_o hope_v may_v easy_o take_v a_o end_n if_o you_o be_v not_o utter_o give_v up_o to_o your_o own_o way_n in_o all_o thing_n for_o if_o the_o ignorant_a will_v not_o be_v ignorant_a still_o they_o may_v by_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n see_v here_o most_o evident_o the_o ground_n &_o cause_n of_o this_o strife_n among_o the_o disciple_n zebedeus_n son_n disire_v of_o our_o saviour_n christ_n that_o they_o may_v sit_v one_o at_o his_o right_a hand_n and_o the_o other_o at_o his_o left_a in_o his_o kingdom_n not_o speak_v of_o the_o world_n our_o saviour_n first_o reprove_v they_o sharp_o and_o tell_v they_o they_o know_v not_o what_o they_o ask_v and_o when_o he_o see_v that_o this_o their_o disire_n of_o supirioritie_n wrought_v disdain_n among_o they_o all_o jesus_n call_v they_o unto_o he_o and_o catch_v they_o to_o know_v that_o although_o the_o king_n &_o lord_n of_o the_o gentile_n and_o they_o that_o be_v great_a among_o they_o have_v domination_n &_o authority_n and_o bare_a rule_n over_o they_o in_o his_o kingdom_n it_o shall_v not_o be_v so_o he_o come_v not_o to_o set_v up_o and_o establish_v such_o a_o kingdom_n wherein_o man_n shall_v seek_v to_o be_v great_a one_o than_o another_o and_o to_o bear_v rule_v one_o over_o another_o and_o therefore_o teach_v his_o disciple_n another_o lesson_n tell_v they_o that_o who_o soever_o will_v seek_v to_o be_v great_a or_o be_v chief_a among_o they_o in_o his_o kingdom_n shall_v be_v the_o servant_n of_o all_o that_o be_v the_o mean_a of_o all_o for_o that_o pride_n or_o arrogancy_n in_o seek_v to_o be_v chief_a &_o upon_o the_o same_o occasion_n of_o strife_n &_o question_v who_o shall_v be_v the_o great_a mat._n 18.1.4_o &_o mark_n 9.34.36_o &_o luk._n 9.46.48_o our_o saviour_n christ_n take_v a_o little_a child_n &_o set_v it_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o they_o and_o teach_v they_o by_o the_o example_n of_o a_o child_n to_o be_v humble_a and_o lousy_a and_o say_v except_o they_o be_v convert_v and_o become_v as_o little_a childre_n they_o shall_v not_o enter_v into_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n and_o who_o soever_o shall_v humble_v himself_o as_o a_o little_a child_n the_o same_o be_v the_o great_a in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n from_o the_o first_o of_o these_o example_n of_o king_n and_o ruler_n &_o great_a man_n because_o our_o saviour_n christ_n say_v it_o shall_v not_o be_v so_o among_o you_o you_o shall_v not_o in_o my_o kingdom_n be_v like_o they_o that_o be_v reign_n and_o rule_v and_o be_v great_a one_o over_o another_o from_o this_o first_o example_n you_o conclude_v that_o king_n ruler_n &_o great_a man_n may_v not_o be_v of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n that_o you_o may_v the_o better_o see_v the_o error_n of_o this_o your_o collection_n and_o conclusion_n we_o will_v collect_v and_o conclude_v the_o like_a from_o the_o other_o example_n which_o our_o saviour_n christ_n bring_v of_o a_o little_a child_n he_o say_v the_o disciple_n of_o his_o kingdom_n must_v be_v like_o little_a child_n humble_a not_o seek_v to_o be_v great_a one_o than_o another_o therefore_o little_a child_n may_v be_v of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n because_o our_o saviour_n christ_n say_v they_o must_v be_v like_o they_o we_o know_v you_o can_v easy_o discern_v the_o error_n of_o this_o collection_n and_o conclusion_n and_o why_o can_v you_o not_o de●…ne_v the_o error_n of_o the_o other_o we_o pray_v you_o as_o you_o love_v god_n and_o his_o truth_n be_v not_o so_o partial_a in_o yourselves_o we_o will_v yet_o endeavour_v to_o show_v you_o the_o equal_a like_a of_o these_o conclusion_n that_o you_o may_v of_o conscience_n deny_v the_o one_o deny_v the_o other_o also_o our_o saviour_n christ_n say_v the_o king_n and_o ruler_n and_o great_a man_n of_o the_o gentile_n reign_v and_o rule_v over_o they_o but_o it_o shall_v not_o be_v so_o among_o you_o the_o disciple_n of_o my_o kingdom_n therefore_o say_v you_o kings_z and_o ruler_n and_o great_a man_n he_o will_v have_v they_o humble_a in_o spirit_n and_o our_o saviour_n christ_n do_v not_o teach_v here_o that_o little_a child_n be_v spiritual_o humble_a and_o therefore_o may_v be_v of_o this_o his_o kingdom_n for_o infant_n be_v but_o bear_v of_o the_o flesh_n but_o they_o must_v be_v bear_v again_o of_o the_o spirit_n that_o enter_v into_o this_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n io._n 3._o therefore_o do_v our_o saviour_n christ_n here_o speak_v but_o of_o quality_n and_o condition_n of_o child_n which_o be_v to_o be_v humble_a not_o teach_v hereby_o that_o they_o may_v be_v of_o this_o his_o kingdom_n even_o so_o our_o saviour_n christ_n the_o in_o other_o example_n speak_v of_o the_o power_n rule_n and_o authority_n of_o king_n ruler_n and_o great_a man_n teach_v they_o that_o in_o his_o spiritual_a kingdom_n among_o his_o disciple_n he_o will_v not_o have_v they_o as_o king_n ruler_n and_o great_a man_n to_o reign_v one_o over_o another_o or_o to_o be_v great_a one_o than_o another_o in_o his_o kingdom_n not_o teach_v hereby_o that_o king_n ruler_n and_o great_a man_n may_v not_o be_v of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n but_o that_o his_o disciple_n may_v not_o as_o king_n ruler_n and_o great_a man_n reign_v one_o over_o another_o in_o his_o kingdom_n in_o all_o this_o our_o saviour_n christ_n speak_v of_o his_o kingdom_n which_o be_v spiritual_a and_o speak_v against_o spiritual_a power_n and_o authority_n and_o will_v not_o therein_o that_o his_o disciple_n shall_v seek_v to_o be_v great_a one_o than_o another_o not_o except_v against_o nor_o disaprove_a the_o power_n and_o authority_n of_o earthly_a king_n and_o prince_n which_o be_v his_o own_o holy_a ordinance_n but_o that_o they_o may_v be_v of_o christ_n retain_v their_o power_n and_o authority_n and_o administer_a in_o their_o office_n and_o aught_o to_o have_v all_o due_a honour_n and_o obedience_n but_o if_o they_o or_o any_o shall_v seek_v to_o have_v spiritual_a power_n rule_n and_o authority_n in_o this_o kingdom_n and_o therein_o make_v themselves_o great_a than_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o disciple_n of_o christ_n that_o be_v it_o which_o our_o saviour_n here_o do_v altogether_o speak_v against_o and_o disaprove_v and_o ●re_n upon_o and_o in_o this_o respect_n teach_v his_o disciple_n to_o be_v humble_a as_o little_a child_n and_o not_o seek_v in_o spiritual_a power_n and_o authority_n to_o be_v great_a one_o than_o another_o for_o if_o they_o do_v he_o that_o will_v strive_v to_o be_v great_a shall_v be_v least_o but_o how_o be_v this_o rule_n of_o christ_n wherein_o he_o so_o careful_o and_o so_o often_o instruct_v his_o disciple_n tread_v under_o foot_n and_o utter_o abolish_v of_o they_o that_o profess_v to_o be_v his_o disciple_n not_o to_o speak_v of_o the_o pope_n and_o all_o his_o confederate_n who_o in_o the_o height_n of_o all_o iniquiti●●th_v exalt_v himself_o what_o may_v we_o say_v to_o lord_n bishop_n who_o so_o direct_o oppose_v christian_n in_o
