refuse_v that_o submission_n which_o the_o lord_n require_v and_o on_o the_o other_o hand_n from_o run_v into_o a_o blind_a obedience_n for_o put_v case_n there_o be_v a_o little_a space_n of_o time_n that_o one_o weak_a in_o the_o faith_n see_v not_o present_o every_o thing_n that_o may_v be_v require_v by_o the_o lord_n in_o his_o people_n as_o duty_n he_o do_v not_o therefore_o refuse_v governor_n or_o so_o repute_v as_o thou_o have_v before_o twit_v the_o penman_n with_o have_v forget_v his_o low_a and_o mean_a estate_n tell_v he_o how_o the_o very_a conceit_n of_o be_v a_o governor_n in_o a_o outward_a government_n be_v very_o apt_a to_o puff_n up_o person_n of_o some_o sort_n of_o qualification_n pag._n 25._o if_o thou_o intend_v i_o herein_o thou_o have_v take_v wrong_a measure_n and_o have_v give_v i_o scurrilous_a and_o abusive_a character_n and_o then_o thou_o be_v gross_o mistake_v in_o thy_o judgement_n that_o i_o thirst_v after_o such_o ignorant_a subject_n as_o thou_o importe_v the_o lord_n have_v raise_v i_o up_o to_o open_a people_n eye_n and_o to_o turn_v they_o from_o darkness_n to_o light_n and_o god_n the_o righteous_a judge_n who_o know_v my_o heart_n and_o who_o i_o serve_v with_o my_o spirit_n in_o the_o gospel_n of_o his_o son_n he_o know_v it_o be_v my_o delight_n in_o humility_n to_o serve_v he_o therein_o and_o to_o see_v people_n turn_v from_o darkness_n to_o the_o true_a light_n and_o from_o their_o ignorance_n and_o error_n to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o truth_n in_o the_o spirit_n and_o power_n of_o it_o in_o thy_o be_v stranger_n to_o tell_v their_o name_n and_o habitation_n upon_o their_o apparent_a sight_n of_o informer_n come_v into_o a_o meeting_n and_o take_v friend_n name_n in_o writing_n or_o otherwise_o nor_o be_v any_o of_o the_o metre_n compel_v by_o law_n to_o tell_v their_o name_n to_o informer_n thus_o arbitrary_a illegal_a and_o foolish_a too_o be_v thou_o in_o thy_o canon_n and_o constitution_n thou_o will_v enforce_v upon_o friend_n of_o the_o ministry_n where_o they_o be_v stranger_n who_o sometime_o may_v be_v silent_a in_o a_o meeting_n and_o sometime_o minister_a when_o informer_n come_v in_o to_o take_v name_n by_o thy_o canon_n the_o minister_n in_o silence_n must_v tell_v their_o name_n and_o habitation_n to_o informer_n and_o those_o that_o be_v minister_a must_v stop_v to_o tell_v the_o informer_n their_o name_n and_o habitation_n this_o illegal_a imposition_n of_o thou_o i_o further_o except_o against_o in_o that_o it_o tend_v to_o gratify_v the_o informer_n and_o forward_o they_o in_o their_o design_n and_o prosecution_n for_o a_o more_o speedy_a and_o easy_a conviction_n counsel_n for_o if_o they_o get_v their_o name_n thus_o ready_o tell_v aforehand_o as_o thy_o canon_n and_o prescription_n require_v they_o go_v present_o to_o the_o justice_n swear_v the_o offence_n and_o cause_v the_o conviction_n in_o the_o absence_n of_o the_o party_n concern_v name_n to_o informer_n which_o the_o law_n require_v not_o i_o know_v none_o that_o refuse_v to_o tell_v their_o name_n to_o the_o civil_a magistrate_n we_o know_v the_o preacher_n general_o be_v most_o strike_v at_o and_o most_o liable_a to_o suffer_v and_o the_o penalty_n be_v most_o severe_a upon_o they_o as_o 20_o l._n for_o a_o first_o and_o 40_o l._n for_o a_o second_o offence_n so_o call_v and_o if_o stranger_n they_o be_v not_o whole_o free_a from_o suffering_n as_o thou_o say_v but_o all_o preacher_n more_o liable_a in_o the_o first_o place_n to_o suffer_v imprisonment_n etc._n etc._n than_o other_o be_v most_o envy_v and_o aim_v at_o by_o the_o persecutor_n 2_o dly_z we_o can_v in_o point_n of_o christianity_n truth_n or_o good_a conscience_n deem_v the_o preacher_n a_o offender_n if_o we_o own_o his_o ministry_n so_o as_o to_o lay_v a_o obligation_n upon_o he_o not_o only_o to_o tell_v his_o name_n to_o informer_n but_o to_o be_v the_o great_a sufferer_n truth_n be_v interest_n and_o cause_n be_v but_o one_o in_o minister_n and_o hearer_n and_o christian_a love_n lead_v we_o therein_o to_o sympathize_v and_o suffer_v one_o with_o another_o in_o spirit_n yea_o and_o outward_o too_o if_o there_o be_v necessity_n and_o not_o to_o make_v preach_v the_o gospel_n a_o offence_n any_o more_o than_o meeting_n or_o hear_v it_o preach_v see_v the_o labour_n and_o pain_n and_o great_a hazard_n common_o be_v the_o preacher_n the_o advantage_n thereof_o be_v the_o hearer_n and_o if_o we_o have_v true_a unity_n with_o the_o gospel_n preacher_n we_o shall_v not_o complain_v against_o they_o because_o of_o the_o fine_n nor_o think_v ourselves_o to_o be_v bind_v under_o thy_o prescription_n or_o canon_n who_o be_v both_o in_o dis-union_n with_o they_o and_o enmity_n against_o they_o much_o less_o to_o follow_v thy_o crafty_a method_n to_o pay_v ourselves_o out_o of_o their_o estate_n when_o fine_v for_o they_o or_o for_o their_o not_o tell_v their_o and_o as_o for_o those_o paper_n so_o long_o since_o give_v forth_o by_o i_o not_o discern_v what_o spirit_n do_v then_o influence_n i_o for_o so_o it_o be_v that_o the_o action_n of_o man_n be_v many_o time_n influence_v both_o by_o good_a and_o evil_a spirit_n though_o they_o perceive_v it_o not_o how_o much_o soever_o the_o notion_n of_o spirit_n ridicule_v by_o the_o atheistick_a philosophaster_n and_o wild_a wit_n of_o this_o age_n i_o do_v many_o year_n since_o recall_v they_o and_o make_v it_o my_o request_n that_o any_o that_o have_v they_o in_o their_o custody_n may_v make_v no_o further_o ill_o use_v of_o they_o and_o to_o have_v find_v the_o contrary_a since_o have_v be_v no_o small_a grief_n to_o i_o especial_o to_o see_v so_o often_o repeat_v these_o personal_a malicious_a person_n from_o hence_o take_v occasion_n to_o think_v much_o less_o to_o say_v or_o represent_v that_o i_o have_v hereby_o revoke_v or_o do_v in_o the_o least_o intend_v to_o inervate_v any_o of_o the_o word_n in_o that_o or_o any_o other_o paper_n so_o far_o as_o they_o be_v assertive_a of_o a_o just_a and_o equal_a liberty_n of_o conscience_n for_o i_o do_v firm_o believe_v that_o
