say_v to_o be_v disciple_n 3._o that_o this_o institution_n or_o commission_n be_v to_o be_v understand_v as_o exclude_v all_o from_o baptism_n who_o be_v not_o comprehend_v in_o it_o hence_o they_o argue_v that_o the_o subject_n propose_v by_o our_o lord_n christ_n to_o be_v baptize_v be_v disciple_n and_o infant_n not_o be_v nor_o in_o propriety_n of_o speech_n can_v be_v call_v disciple_n and_o all_o other_o beside_o disciple_n be_v exclude_v by_o christ_n his_o propose_v they_o only_o to_o be_v baptize_v hence_o infant_n neither_o may_v nor_o aught_o to_o be_v baptize_v in_o answer_n to_o this_o we_o say_v that_o all_o these_o supposition_n be_v utter_o groundless_a and_o false_a for_o the_o first_o viz._n that_o they_o must_v refer_v to_o disciple_n include_v in_o that_o word_n we_o translate_v teach_v or_o make_v disciple_n and_o not_o to_o nation_n this_o we_o utter_o deny_v and_o affirm_v on_o the_o contrary_a that_o it_o must_v refer_v to_o nation_n and_o not_o to_o disciple_n and_o that_o for_o two_o reason_n reas_n 1._o because_o we_o ought_v to_o keep_v to_o the_o literal_a and_o plain_a grammatical_a construction_n of_o scripture_n where_o there_o be_v no_o necessary_a reason_n why_o we_o shall_v depart_v therefrom_o now_o according_a to_o the_o literal_a and_o plain_a grammatical_a construction_n of_o this_o scripture_n they_o must_v be_v refer_v to_o nation_n whether_o we_o translate_v that_o word_n to_o teach_v or_o nation_n or_o make_v all_o nation_n disciple_n baptise_v they_o baptise_v who_o why_o according_a to_o the_o literal_a construction_n of_o the_o word_n the_o nation_n to_o be_v teach_v or_o make_v disciple_n and_o here_o be_v no_o reason_n why_o we_o shall_v depart_v from_o the_o literal_a and_o plain_a grammatical_a construction_n of_o the_o word_n but_o 2._o it_o be_v altogether_o doubtful_a whether_o our_o lord_n christ_n in_o this_o commission_n have_v any_o respect_n to_o such_o a_o criticism_n as_o this_o viz._n that_o disciple_n be_v include_v in_o that_o word_n we_o translate_v to_o teach_v now_o to_o depart_v from_o the_o literal_a and_o plain_a grammatical_a construction_n when_o there_o be_v no_o reason_n so_o to_o do_v upon_o the_o supposition_n of_o a_o criticism_n in_o a_o word_n when_o it_o be_v utter_o uncertain_a whether_o our_o lord_n christ_n have_v any_o respect_n to_o any_o such_o criticism_n or_o no_o be_v unreasonable_a and_o subject_n all_o scripture_n to_o be_v frame_v into_o any_o form_n according_a to_o the_o various_a fancy_n of_o man_n so_o that_o undoubted_o they_o be_v the_o nation_n that_o be_v to_o be_v baptize_v and_o as_o for_o what_o be_v say_v to_o give_v countenance_n to_o this_o supposition_n it_o signify_v nothing_o at_o all_o for_o 1._o whereas_o it_o be_v say_v thus_o to_o expound_v this_o text_n agree_v with_o what_o be_v record_v of_o christ_n viz._n that_o he_o make_v disciple_n and_o by_o his_o disciple_n baptize_v they_o this_o be_v of_o no_o weight_n for_o though_o he_o make_v disciple_n and_o baptize_v they_o viz._n by_o his_o disciple_n yet_o it_o be_v not_o say_v he_o only_o baptize_v they_o he_o make_v or_o may_v make_v disciple_n and_o order_v they_o to_o be_v baptize_v and_o with_o they_o their_o child_n or_o household_n 2._o whereas_o it_o be_v yet_o further_o say_v that_o thus_o to_o expound_v this_o scripture_n seem_v best_a to_o agree_v with_o the_o word_n of_o mark_n record_v the_o same_o commission_n and_o answerable_o that_o that_o clause_n in_o mark_n go_v preach_v the_o gospel_n to_o every_o creature_n
