but_o these_o thing_n must_v not_o be_v understand_v of_o a_o bare_a assent_n to_o the_o truth_n of_o the_o gospel_n which_o be_v the_o proper_a importance_n of_o that_o word_n faith_n but_o of_o such_o a_o faith_n as_o be_v a_o principle_n of_o life_n and_o action_n such_o a_o faith_n as_o have_v influence_n upon_o the_o whole_a course_n of_o our_o life_n and_o be_v not_o contradict_v by_o our_o practice_n and_o conversation_n a_o faith_n that_o work_v by_o love_n and_o be_v fruitful_a of_o good_a work_n and_o obedience_n thus_o it_o be_v not_o to_o be_v consider_v as_o a_o single_a virtue_n and_o separate_a from_o the_o rest_n but_o as_o be_v the_o fruitful_a parent_n of_o all_o other_o christian_a virtue_n and_o include_v they_o in_o it_o for_o if_o we_o understand_v faith_n in_o a_o more_o strict_a sense_n as_o distinct_a from_o a_o holy_a conversation_n it_o be_v no_o more_o than_o the_o devil_n themselves_o may_v pretend_v to_o and_o yet_o this_o be_v so_o far_o from_o decision_n of_o their_o church_n and_o this_o the_o papist_n plain_o do_v in_o the_o doctrine_n of_o transubstantiation_n which_o have_v so_o many_o plain_a absurdity_n in_o it_o and_o be_v so_o clear_o contradict_v by_o our_o several_a sense_n that_o be_v capable_a of_o judge_v in_o that_o matter_n that_o there_o can_v be_v no_o other_o reason_n of_o their_o obstinate_a defend_n of_o it_o but_o that_o they_o can_v renounce_v the_o doctrine_n without_o quit_v their_o claim_n to_o infallibility_n it_o be_v beside_o my_o present_a business_n to_o consider_v upon_o what_o ground_n they_o build_v that_o infallible_a power_n of_o their_o church_n in_o determine_v matter_n of_o faith_n but_o yet_o methinks_v i_o can_v persuade_v myself_o that_o they_o have_v any_o argument_n for_o it_o so_o plain_a and_o cogent_a as_o the_o testimony_n of_o their_o sense_n and_o therefore_o it_o can_v but_o seem_v a_o strange_a way_n of_o argue_v which_o they_o use_v to_o deny_v matter_n of_o fact_n particular_a the_o other_o prophet_n give_v witness_n to_o he_o but_o yet_o it_o appear_v not_o that_o all_o there_o mention_v have_v any_o knowledge_n at_o all_o either_o that_o he_o be_v to_o come_v or_o what_o he_o shall_v do_v or_o suffer_v for_o the_o world_n and_o therefore_o the_o apostle_n in_o the_o begin_n of_o the_o chapter_n lay_v down_o that_o viz._n that_o god_n be_v the_o rewarder_n of_o they_o that_o diligent_o seek_v he_o as_o the_o fundamental_a article_n of_o their_o belief_n in_o confidence_n of_o which_o they_o willing_o undergo_v so_o many_o trial_n and_o temptation_n with_o such_o bravery_n and_o undaunted_a resolution_n if_o therefore_o we_o look_v upon_o these_o man_n only_o as_o give_v testimony_n to_o this_o truth_n yet_o this_o alone_a be_v sufficient_a reason_n for_o our_o imitation_n of_o they_o and_o do_v justify_v the_o wisdom_n of_o our_o choice_n in_o be_v religious_a and_o serve_v the_o same_o god_n on_o who_o they_o believe_v and_o forsake_v all_o in_o obedience_n to_o he_o as_o they_o do_v before_o we_o since_o we_o have_v the_o same_o conviction_n of_o reason_n that_o they_o have_v that_o our_o god_n who_o we_o serve_v be_v a_o after_o this_o life_n of_o the_o greatness_n of_o his_o wisdom_n that_o he_o know_v when_o and_o how_o to_o do_v it_o better_o than_o they_o can_v choose_v of_o the_o justice_n of_o his_o providence_n that_o he_o will_v certain_o do_v it_o but_o then_o on_o the_o contrary_a for_o those_o that_o have_v reject_v this_o belief_n or_o at_o least_o have_v not_o live_v answerable_o to_o it_o it_o be_v
