and_o sinful_a woman_n wonderful_a be_v thou_o in_o all_o thy_o work_n o_o lord_n the_o riches_n of_o thy_o mercy_n be_v past_o find_v out_o thou_o have_v plunge_v i_o with_o great_a affliction_n and_o yet_o thou_o have_v return_v &_o refresh_v i_o again_o thou_o have_v bring_v i_o to_o the_o fear_n of_o the_o grave_n and_o yet_o thou_o have_v raise_v i_o up_o again_o to_o life_n o_o how_o have_v thou_o show_v thy_o power_n in_o my_o weakness_n how_o have_v thy_o love_a kindness_n
command_v we_o in_o thy_o holy_a word_n may_v receive_v the_o reward_n of_o thy_o promise_n that_o be_v all_o thing_n necessary_a for_o this_o life_n and_o in_o the_o life_n to_o come_v everlasting_a glory_n through_o jesus_n christ_n our_o lord_n and_o saviour_n amen_n a_o prayer_n against_o usual_a and_o common_a swear_n eternal_a god_n and_o louâ—ng_a father_n in_o thy_o holy_a word_n the_o word_n of_o truth_n thou_o say_v that_o the_o man_n who_o use_v to_o swear_v much_o be_v accurse_v and_o the_o plague_n shall_v never_o depart_v from_o his_o house_n and_o in_o thy_o holy_a gospel_n have_v say_v that_o we_o shall_v render_v account_n at_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n for_o every_o idle_a word_n that_o we_o shall_v speak_v o_o how_o much_o more_o shall_v we_o give_v account_n of_o every_o profane_a blasphemous_a and_o bloody_a oath_n that_o we_o swear_v and_o therefore_o to_o the_o end_n we_o may_v avoid_v thy_o vengeance_n against_o that_o day_n thou_o have_v command_v we_o not_o to_o swear_v at_o all_o but_o that_o our_o communication_n be_v yea_o yea_o nay_o nay_o for_o whatsoever_o be_v more_o than_o that_o come_v of_o evil_a wherefore_o i_o beseech_v thou_o good_a lord_n in_o the_o bowel_n of_o mercy_n so_o to_o dispose_v &_o order_v my_o tongue_n and_o mouth_n the_o use_n whereof_o thou_o have_v give_v i_o above_o other_o creature_n to_o glorify_v thou_o withal_o that_o thereby_o i_o abuse_v nor_o blaspheme_v not_o thy_o holy_a name_n for_o true_a it_o be_v o_o lord_n that_o swearer_n &_o blasphemer_n of_o thy_o holy_a name_n as_o much_o as_o lie_v in_o they_o do_v crucify_v thy_o son_n afresh_o and_o be_v as_o guilty_a of_o his_o blood_n as_o judas_n be_v that_o betray_v he_o or_o the_o curse_a jew_n that_o slay_v he_o and_o see_v that_o to_o swear_v by_o thou_o who_o bless_a name_n be_v never_o to_o be_v think_v of_o nor_o yet_o once_o call_v into_o question_n but_o with_o great_a reverence_n fear_v and_o dread_a be_v most_o horrible_a blasphemy_n and_o to_o swear_v by_o any_o creature_n else_o be_v most_o detestable_a idolatry_n keep_v i_o i_o beseech_v thou_o from_o all_o manner_n of_o unlawful_a swear_n and_o from_o all_o wicked_a bloody_a oath_n that_o both_o my_o heart_n tongue_n and_o mouth_n and_o all_o part_n else_o both_o of_o body_n and_o soul_n may_v be_v instrument_n of_o praise_n to_o set_v forth_o thy_o glory_n all_o the_o day_n of_o my_o life_n through_o jesus_n christ_n our_o lord_n and_o saviour_n amen_n a_o prayer_n against_o pride_n holy_a lord_n thou_o have_v in_o thy_o bless_a gospel_n command_v we_o by_o all_o mean_v possible_a to_o eschew_v the_o filthy_a vice_n of_o pride_n which_o be_v a_o certain_a rebellion_n of_o the_o heart_n against_o thou_o and_o above_o all_o thing_n to_o embrace_v and_o ever_o hold_v fast_o the_o anchor_n of_o humility_n a_o perfect_a pattern_n whereof_o we_o may_v learn_v in_o thou_o o_o bless_a saviour_n who_o be_v humble_a lowly_a courteous_a gentle_a merciful_a pitiful_a full_a of_o compassion_n and_o all_o goodness_n not_o disdain_v the_o vile_a person_n or_o loathsome_a lazer_n that_o ever_o live_v if_o he_o faithful_o believe_v in_o thou_o thou_o humble_v thyself_o that_o we_o may_v be_v exalt_v thou_o become_v poor_a to_o make_v we_o rich_a thou_o come_v down_o to_o the_o earth_n to_o live_v in_o humility_n that_o we_o may_v be_v exalt_v to_o live_v in_o felicity_n thou_o be_v poor_a in_o estate_n mean_v in_o attire_n and_o base_a in_o all_o thing_n before_o the_o world_n in_o respect_n of_o thy_o humanity_n but_o before_o thy_o heavenly_a father_n in_o respect_n of_o thy_o deity_n most_o magnifical_a and_o glorious_a and_o therefore_o not_o without_o cause_n thou_o bid_v we_o learn_v of_o thou_o say_v learn_v of_o i_o for_o i_o be_o humble_a &_o lowly_a &_o your_o soul_n shall_v live_v thou_o overthrowe_v the_o proud_a in_o their_o own_o imagination_n and_o give_v grace_n to_o the_o humble_a yea_o thou_o so_o much_o abhor_v pride_n that_o thou_o iudge_v they_o to_o eternal_a damnation_n that_o offend_v therein_o if_o we_o will_v consider_v with_o ourselves_o our_o own_o misery_n we_o shall_v have_v be_v regenerate_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n be_v they_o not_o bondslave_n to_o satan_n receptacle_n to_o fiend_n and_o subject_a to_o everlasting_a damnation_n what_o have_v we_o now_o that_o we_o have_v not_o receive_v or_o whereof_o may_v we_o be_v proud_a wherefore_o o_o my_o god_n i_o beseech_v thou_o who_o be_v the_o true_a mirror_n of_o all_o humility_n give_v i_o the_o spirit_n of_o meekness_n humbleness_n and_o lowliness_n of_o heart_n and_o keep_v i_o from_o all_o filthy_a pride_n &_o arrogancy_n of_o body_n or_o mind_n that_o i_o never_o lift_v up_o myself_o into_o pride_n and_o all_o his_o posterity_n how_o thou_o destroy_v nymrod_n that_o huge_a giant_n goliath_n that_o fierce_a monster_n nabuchadnezar_n that_o ambitious_a &_o bloody_a tyrant_n herod_n that_o arrogant_a miscreant_n and_o many_o other_o who_o through_o the_o sin_n of_o pride_n rebel_v against_o thou_o and_o may_v by_o these_o example_n be_v terrify_v from_o commit_v that_o great_a &_o heinous_a sin_n against_o thou_o that_o i_o humble_v myself_o in_o this_o world_n after_o the_o consummation_n of_o this_o life_n may_v be_v exalt_v in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n there_o to_o reign_v with_o thou_o for_o ever_o and_o ever_o amen_n a_o prayer_n against_o gluttony_n and_o drunkenness_n bless_a lord_n as_o thou_o have_v create_v man_n after_o thy_o own_o similitude_n and_o likeness_n and_o have_v give_v he_o a_o perfect_a body_n like_o unto_o thy_o son_n jesus_n christ_n so_o thou_o have_v ordain_v and_o provide_v for_o he_o ordinary_a mean_n as_o meat_n drink_n flesh_n fish_n herb_n oil_n wine_n &_o what_o not_o to_o keep_v and_o sustain_v the_o same_o and_o have_v command_v these_o thy_o creature_n to_o be_v moderate_o take_v to_o the_o sustentation_n of_o the_o body_n with_o praise_n and_o thanksgiving_n to_o thou_o accurse_v they_o to_o hell_n who_o by_o abuse_v not_o lawful_o use_v these_o thy_o blessing_n make_v they_o instrument_n of_o sin_n and_o so_o consequent_o of_o damnation_n to_o themselves_o give_v i_o grace_n i_o beseech_v thou_o that_o i_o may_v never_o abuse_v thy_o gift_n through_o gluttony_n drunkenness_n riot_n or_o excess_n but_o that_o i_o live_v in_o all_o godly_a temperance_n and_o sobriety_n may_v be_v thankful_a unto_o thou_o for_o they_o and_o also_o use_v they_o for_o my_o necessity_n know_v that_o our_o meat_n without_o thy_o blessing_n can_v nourish_v the_o body_n but_o destroy_v it_o rather_o as_o experience_n daily_o teach_v make_v i_o o_o lord_n to_o loath_a and_o detest_v this_o horrible_a vice_n so_o much_o the_o more_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o filthynes_n of_o the_o same_o for_o beside_o that_o it_o transform_v man_n into_o the_o image_n of_o a_o beast_n or_o rather_o make_v he_o worse_o than_o a_o beast_n for_o they_o neither_o eat_v nor_o drink_v without_o measure_n it_o also_o blind_v his_o eye_n of_o reason_n
