in_o his_o word_n though_o his_o elect_a one_o can_v fall_v final_o 2._o we_o may_v also_o infer_v from_o hence_o that_o the_o reason_n why_o some_o fall_n quite_o away_o be_v because_o their_o heart_n be_v never_o upright_a with_o god_n 3._o from_o hence_o we_o may_v likewise_o be_v stir_v up_o to_o consider_v and_o examine_v our_o heart_n about_o our_o sincerity_n for_o if_o not_o we_o may_v fall_v away_o and_o rise_v no_o more_o 7._o let_v we_o bewail_v ourselves_o upon_o the_o account_n of_o indwelling_a sin_n for_o ofttimes_o it_o wound_v our_o soul_n it_o break_v our_o bone_n destroy_v our_o peace_n spoil_v our_o communion_n with_o the_o father_n and_o the_o son_n and_o bring_v fear_n and_o doubt_n upon_o we_o about_o our_o state_n when_o we_o be_v overcome_v thereby_o cover_v we_o with_o cloud_n and_o darkness_n 8._o this_o may_v be_v of_o use_n also_o by_o way_n of_o exhortation_n to_o arm_v ourselves_o and_o to_o stand_v upon_o our_o guard_n and_o to_o resist_v satan_n steadfast_o in_o the_o faith_n our_o life_n be_v a_o life_n of_o warfare_n let_v we_o show_v ourselves_o good_a soldier_n of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o make_v a_o resistance_n of_o sin_n and_o satan_n whilst_o there_o be_v life_n in_o our_o body_n or_o blood_n in_o our_o vein_n 9_o it_o may_v teach_v we_o also_o to_o be_v aware_a of_o deceiver_n since_o they_o some_o time_n trip_v up_o the_o heel_n of_o many_o of_o god_n poor_a saint_n 10._o it_o must_v needs_o administer_v great_a succour_n to_o such_o saint_n who_o have_v fall_v i_o mean_v to_o backslider_n and_o keep_v they_o from_o utter_a despair_n for_o though_o they_o fall_v they_o shall_v rise_v again_o as_o the_o true_o godly_a of_o who_o fall_v we_o read_v of_o in_o the_o scripture_n always_o do_v where_o do_v we_o meet_v with_o one_o godly_a person_n that_o the_o lord_n declare_v so_o to_o be_v who_o fall_v and_o rise_v no_o more_o or_o that_o there_o be_v no_o ground_n leave_v in_o the_o word_n for_o we_o to_o believe_v they_o be_v save_v 11._o last_o it_o may_v serve_v to_o discover_v the_o infinite_a grace_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n who_o have_v secure_v the_o stand_n of_o his_o own_o faithful_a one_o they_o be_v in_o christ_n hand_n and_o can_v be_v pluck_v out_o nor_o perish_v let_v all_o enemy_n do_v what_o they_o can_v as_o i_o shall_v now_o in_o the_o next_o place_n come_v to_o demonstrate_v and_o full_o prove_v according_a to_o my_o promise_n and_o the_o proposition_n i_o have_v raise_v viz._n open_v that_o all_o the_o saint_n of_o god_n or_o sheep_n of_o jesus_n christ_n shall_v be_v save_v and_o none_o of_o they_o shall_v so_o fall_v away_o as_o eternal_o to_o perish_v election_n the_o truth_n of_o this_o point_n i_o shall_v prove_v by_o divers_a argument_n and_o scripture_n and_o my_o first_o argument_n shall_v be_v take_v from_o eternal_a election_n which_o depend_v whole_o upon_o the_o absolute_a sovereignty_n of_o god_n who_o have_v power_n over_o all_o his_o creature_n and_o may_v do_v with_o his_o own_o as_o it_o seem_v good_a in_o his_o eternal_a wisdom_n and_o good_a pleasure_n of_o his_o will._n i_o shall_v premise_v one_o or_o two_o thing_n before_o i_o proceed_v to_o confirm_v this_o argument_n 1._o that_o god_n set_v up_o jesus_n christ_n as_o mediator_n from_o everlasting_a as_o the_o head_n and_o spring_n of_o our_o election_n therefore_o it_o be_v say_v we_o be_v choose_v in_o he_o before_o the_o foundation_n of_o the_o world_n 4._o it_o be_v the_o only_a act_n of_o love_n and_o free_a grace_n of_o the_o father_n therefore_o not_o to_o be_v ascribe_v to_o the_o merit_n of_o jesus_n christ_n for_o though_o christ_n have_v merit_v our_o salvation_n yet_o he_o do_v not_o procure_v or_o merit_v our_o election_n for_o christ_n himself_o be_v the_o fruit_n of_o this_o eternal_a blessing_n and_o privilege_n it_o be_v then_o the_o sole_a act_n of_o god_n sovereign_a grace_n and_o love_n it_o follow_v 2._o that_o all_o the_o way_n which_o be_v order_v in_o the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n for_o the_o accomplish_n the_o end_n of_o election_n be_v of_o the_o father_n appointment_n also_o for_o whatsoever_o christ_n have_v do_v in_o work_v out_o of_o our_o redemption_n it_o be_v according_a to_o the_o purpose_n and_o determinate_a counsel_n of_o his_o own_o will_n and_o sovereign_a goodness_n jesus_n christ_n be_v first_o choose_v or_o elect_v by_o the_o father_n as_o head_z and_o mediator_n and_o only_a foundation_n to_o bear_v up_o the_o whole_a building_n which_o the_o almighty_a design_v to_o raise_v the_o father_n
