heresy_n the_o sorcerer_n can_v not_o take_v away_o the_o plague_n of_o the_o frog_n etc._n etc._n but_o indeed_o they_o cause_v more_o to_o come_v whereby_o the_o king_n and_o his_o people_n be_v lessen_v the_o light_n of_o the_o sun_n nor_o let_v the_o course_n thereof_o because_o at_o the_o last_o they_o be_v scatter_v by_o the_o heat_n of_o the_o sun_n which_o shine_v out_o simile_n most_o comfortable_o so_o we_o may_v be_v sure_a that_o although_o sometime_o our_o righteousness_n be_v cover_v with_o our_o infirmity_n yet_o if_o we_o overcome_v they_o &_o drive_v they_o away_o the_o course_n of_o our_o righteousness_n be_v not_o hinder_v and_o again_o as_o a_o man_n be_v not_o let_v by_o a_o fall_n in_o his_o journey_n simile_n when_o he_o learn_v thereby_o to_o take_v better_a heed_n and_o to_o haste_v fast_o forward_o so_o we_o by_o our_o fall_n and_o infirmity_n be_v not_o stay_v if_o they_o make_v we_o more_o careful_a of_o ourselves_o and_o more_o earnest_a in_o go_v forward_o yet_o must_v we_o not_o say_v here_o it_o be_v a_o light_a matter_n to_o sin_n that_o thereby_o they_o may_v be_v make_v more_o careful_a for_o if_o a_o man_n have_v once_o true_o feel_v the_o grief_n of_o heart_n simile_n for_o sin_n if_o he_o know_v how_o hard_o it_o be_v to_o get_v victory_n over_o it_o if_o he_o consider_v how_o much_o he_o have_v displease_v god_n by_o sin_n if_o he_o consider_v the_o fearful_a punishment_n which_o he_o have_v procure_v to_o himself_o and_o if_o he_o be_v persuade_v that_o none_o can_v raise_v he_o up_o from_o sin_n but_o god_n sin_n alone_o then_o he_o will_v be_v most_o afraid_a to_o sin_n because_o he_o know_v not_o whether_o god_n will_v raise_v he_o up_o or_o no_o and_o therefore_o if_o any_o think_v that_o it_o be_v but_o a_o small_a matter_n to_o sin_n it_o be_v certain_a that_o they_o have_v not_o as_o yet_o unfeigned_o repent_v they_o be_v not_o as_o yet_o wash_v from_o their_o sin_n this_o first_o rule_n be_v good_a and_o very_o fit_a to_o try_v ourselves_o when_o to_o our_o own_o feel_n we_o can_v perceive_v no_o increase_n of_o godliness_n within_o we_o which_o do_v cause_v we_o when_o we_o see_v it_o to_o esteem_v more_o high_o of_o the_o word_n and_o to_o make_v great_a account_n or_o it_o for_o if_o our_o former_a negligence_n or_o some_o sin_n through_o infirmity_n whereunto_o we_o have_v slip_v do_v make_v the_o word_n more_o savoury_a &_o lightsome_a unto_o we_o than_o it_o be_v certain_a that_o the_o lord_n of_o his_o goodness_n by_o this_o fall_n have_v help_v we_o forward_o contrariwise_o if_o our_o former_a carelessness_n do_v make_v we_o more_o careless_a if_o our_o slip_n or_o sin_n do_v make_v the_o word_n unsavourie_a or_o unseasonable_a unto_o we_o we_o be_v in_o a_o most_o fearful_a plight_n we_o be_v in_o great_a danger_n to_o fall_v away_o therefore_o let_v we_o strive_v against_o these_o &_o let_v we_o labour_n to_o use_v every_o thing_n to_o help_v we_o forward_o let_v we_o labour_n to_o find_v sweetness_n in_o the_o word_n and_o thus_o we_o shall_v have_v comfort_n even_o in_o our_o infirmity_n then_o shall_v our_o light_n shine_v bright_a every_o day_n until_o we_o come_v to_o our_o die_a day_n now_o the_o mean_n which_o god_n have_v appoint_v to_o preserve_v and_o increase_v this_o light_n in_o we_o be_v his_o holy_a word_n by_o which_o as_o we_o receive_v our_o light_n so_o must_v we_o labour_v to_o have_v it_o continue_v therefore_o iâ—_n we_o will_v not_o â—auâ—_n our_o light_n quench_v we_o must_v not_o despise_v prophecy_n if_o we_o will_v have_v it_o to_o burn_v clâ—â—â—e_n than_o we_o must_v attend_v unto_o hear_v read_v confer_v meditate_v and_o other_o exercise_n of_o the_o word_n we_o must_v eschew_v evil_a and_o the_o occasion_n of_o evil_a than_o our_o light_n shall_v flame_v out_o continual_o vers._n 19_o the_o way_n of_o the_o wicked_a be_v darkness_n they_o know_v not_o wherein_o they_o shall_v fall_v the_o former_a verse_n be_v amplify_v by_o the_o contrary_a estate_n &_o condition_n of_o the_o wicked_a their_o way_n be_v as_o darkness_n because_o they_o be_v destitute_a of_o the_o light_n of_o god_n word_n and_o they_o know_v not_o wherein_o they_o shall_v fall_v they_o sin_n &_o see_v it_o not_o they_o run_v unto_o heresy_n and_o know_v it_o not_o the_o judgement_n of_o god_n hang_v over_o their_o head_n &_o they_o espy_v it_o not_o therefore_o when_o not_o they_o think_v least_o they_o shall_v be_v bring_v into_o great_a danger_n trouble_n shall_v assail_v they_o like_o a_o arm_a man_n and_o their_o sorrow_n shall_v come_v upon_o they_o like_o as_o upon_o a_o woman_n that_o travel_v with_o â—hild_n in_o this_o case_n be_v all_o those_o which_o be_v not_o enlighten_v by_o the_o word_n this_o be_v the_o state_n of_o all_o those_o that_o make_v not_o the_o word_n their_o lantern_n continual_o to_o shine_v out_o before_o they_o but_o the_o child_n of_o god_n be_v in_o a_o contrary_a case_n they_o be_v direct_v by_o the_o word_n in_o all_o their_o do_n and_o in_o the_o light_n of_o the_o word_n they_o see_v light_n they_o see_v the_o subtlety_n of_o sin_n and_o therefore_o they_o shun_v it_o and_o they_o be_v take_v with_o a_o horror_n as_o it_o be_v of_o all_o manner_n of_o heresy_n they_o foresee_v god_n judgement_n and_o prevent_v they_o and_o so_o be_v they_o keep_v safe_a and_o preserve_v from_o evil_a thus_o far_o have_v we_o be_v dehort_v from_o ungodly_a company_n both_o by_o precept_n and_o reason_n the_o second_o part_n of_o this_o dehortation_n follow_v from_o this_o place_n to_o the_o end_n of_o the_o chapter_n vers._n 20._o my_o son_n attend_v unto_o my_o word_n incline_v thy_o ear_n unto_o my_o say_n here_o follow_v the_o dehortation_n wherein_o we_o be_v forewarn_v of_o the_o corruption_n which_o â—s_v in_o ourselves_o yet_o before_o the_o wiseman_n come_v to_o give_v any_o special_a or_o particular_a precept_n of_o this_o corruption_n he_o do_v after_o this_o manner_n deliver_v some_o general_a precept_n word_n for_o the_o use_n of_o the_o word_n whereby_o this_o corruption_n may_v be_v cure_v in_o us._n these_o general_a precept_n be_v set_v forth_o in_o these_o 3._o verse_n wherein_o first_o there_o be_v general_o require_v of_o we_o great_a attendance_n unto_o the_o whole_a word_n of_o god_n in_o these_o word_n attend_v unto_o my_o word_n second_o we_o be_v command_v to_o hear_v the_o word_n this_o precept_n bind_v we_o to_o hear_v whether_o the_o word_n be_v read_v or_o preach_v or_o whether_o it_o be_v confer_v of_o for_o all_o these_o way_n we_o may_v get_v great_a profit_n by_o hear_v the_o word_n and_o because_o we_o be_v not_o easy_o draw_v unto_o this_o hear_n therefore_o the_o precept_n be_v very_o effectual_o deliver_v in_o these_o word_n incline_v thy_o ear_n in_o which_o kind_n of_o speech_n there_o be_v first_o note_v our_o natural_a slothfulness_n and_o security_n which_o of_o
