church_n which_o sometime_o for_o no_o fault_n will_v enjoin_v penance_n as_o if_o a_o man_n have_v marry_v the_o second_o time_n yea_o for_o small_a and_o light_a offence_n be_v wont_a to_o enjoin_v a_o penance_n of_o two_o five_o yea_o and_o sometime_o of_o ten_o year_n this_o be_v the_o sin_n also_o of_o those_o that_o be_v depart_v from_o our_o church_n condemn_v we_o for_o some_o want_n utter_o as_o no_o church_n nor_o people_n of_o god_n refuse_v to_o hear_v the_o word_n of_o god_n to_o pray_v and_o to_o join_v in_o other_o religious_a duty_n with_o us._n it_o be_v also_o the_o sin_n of_o many_o of_o the_o lutheran_n who_o because_o we_o dissent_v from_o they_o in_o some_o opinion_n condemn_v we_o and_o our_o church_n to_o hell_n and_o speak_v and_o write_v that_o we_o be_v limb_n of_o the_o devil_n which_o be_v too_o great_a severity_n if_o we_o hold_v not_o the_o truth_n against_o they_o in_o the_o thing_n wherein_o we_o differ_v use_v 2._o we_o ought_v on_o the_o contrary_a to_o put_v on_o the_o bowel_n of_o compassion_n towards_o offender_n if_o there_o be_v any_o hope_n of_o amendment_n follow_v herein_o the_o footstep_n of_o christ_n himself_o who_o be_v very_o tender_a over_o jerusalem_n so_o as_o he_o weep_v over_o it_o moses_n when_o the_o israelite_n have_v sin_v in_o make_v their_o golden_a calf_n he_o mourn_v for_o they_o fast_v forty_o day_n and_o forty_o night_n for_o they_o and_o will_v not_o depart_v from_o god_n till_o he_o be_v entreat_v of_o he_o in_o their_o behalf_n man_n can_v but_o be_v compassionate_a towards_o sick_a and_o terrify_v affright_a and_o so_o save_v by_o terror_n and_o fear_n second_o what_o this_o fear_n be_v namely_o not_o a_o bodily_a fear_n as_o neither_o the_o mean_n cause_v it_o be_v but_o a_o spiritual_a fear_n and_o that_o of_o everlasting_a destruction_n the_o mean_n of_o fear_n be_v either_o civil_a or_o spiritual_a the_o former_a be_v the_o power_n and_o authority_n of_o the_o magistrate_n who_o carry_v not_o the_o sword_n in_o vain_a against_o offender_n but_o that_o those_o that_o do_v evil_a may_v fear_v rom._n 13.4_o but_o neither_o be_v this_o fear_n nor_o the_o mean_n of_o it_o mean_v the_o second_o mean_n be_v spiritual_a direct_o respect_v the_o soul_n not_o the_o body_n and_o they_o be_v reduce_v to_o three_o kind_n or_o head_n first_o admonition_n with_o denunciation_n of_o god_n judgement_n against_o the_o party_n not_o repent_v second_o suspension_n whereby_o offender_n be_v debar_v from_o the_o lord_n table_n three_o excommunication_n whereby_o excommunication_n be_v of_o no_o force_n it_o be_v light_o regard_v and_o therefore_o can_v be_v no_o great_a mean_n of_o fear_n to_o offender_n ans._n this_o censure_n use_v according_a to_o the_o word_n of_o god_n can_v but_o be_v full_a of_o horror_n and_o terror_n and_o the_o most_o forcible_a as_o the_o last_o mean_v of_o this_o fear_n matth._n 18.17_o if_o he_o hear_v not_o the_o church_n let_v he_o be_v to_o thou_o as_o a_o heathen_a what_o will_v move_v a_o man_n if_o this_o will_v not_o that_o the_o whole_a church_n shall_v account_v of_o he_o as_o a_o pagan_a or_o heathen_a the_o incestuous_a person_n 1._o corinth_n 5.5_o thus_o censure_v be_v give_v up_o to_o satan_n and_o deliver_v into_o the_o devil_n power_n than_o which_o what_o can_v be_v more_o fearful_a both_o these_o
