shall_v be_v construe_v to_o extend_v to_o the_o prejudice_n or_o infringe_n of_o any_o the_o just_a right_n and_o privilege_n of_o either_o of_o the_o two_o university_n of_o this_o realm_n touch_v and_o concern_v the_o licens_v or_o print_v of_o book_n in_o either_o of_o the_o say_a university_n house_n peer_n house_n provide_v always_o that_o no_o search_n shall_v be_v at_o any_o time_n make_v in_o the_o house_n or_o house_n of_o any_o the_o péer_v of_o this_o realm_n or_o of_o any_o other_o person_n or_o person_n not_o be_v free_a of_o or_o use_v any_o of_o the_o trade_n in_o this_o act_n before_o mention_v but_o by_o special_a warrant_n from_o the_o king_n majesty_n under_o his_o sign_n manual_n or_o under_o the_o hand_n of_o one_o or_o both_o of_o his_o majesty_n principal_a secretary_n of_o state_n or_o for_o any_o other_o book_n than_o such_o as_o be_v in_o print_v or_o shall_v be_v print_v after_o the_o ten_o of_o june_n 1662._o and_o thing_n in_o this_o act_n to_o the_o contrary_a thereof_o in_o any_o wise_n notwithstanding_o london_n proviso_n for_o bookseller_n and_o stationer_n london_n provide_v also_o that_o neither_o this_o act_n nor_o any_o thing_n therein_o contain_v shall_v extend_v to_o prohibit_v any_o bookseller_n who_o have_v serve_v seven_o year_n and_o be_v free_a of_o the_o company_n of_o stationer_n london_n from_o import_v or_o bring_v into_o this_o realm_n any_o book_n ready_a bind_v not_o former_o prohibit_v which_o have_v be_v print_v ten_o year_n before_o the_o say_a importation_n any_o thing_n in_o this_o or_o any_o other_o act_n to_o the_o contrary_a notwithstanding_o westminster-hall_n person_n sell_v book_n in_o westminster-hall_n provide_v also_o and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o neither_o this_o act_n nor_o any_o thing_n therein_o contain_v shall_v be_v construe_v to_o prohibit_v any_o person_n or_o person_n to_o sell_v book_n or_o paper_n who_o have_v sell_v book_n or_o paper_n within_o westminster-hall_n the_o palace_n of_o westminster_n or_o in_o any_o shop_n or_o shop_n within_o twenty_o yard_n of_o the_o great_a gate_n of_o westminster-hall_n aforesaid_a before_o
money_n as_o shall_v be_v pay_v by_o they_o in_o pursuance_n of_o this_o act_n which_o acquittance_n shall_v be_v a_o full_a discharge_v to_o the_o say_v head-collectors_a and_o subcollector_n respective_o acquittance_n acquittance_n and_o the_o say_v subcollector_n shall_v make_v and_o deliver_v to_o the_o say_v head-collectors_a a_o perfect_a schedule_n fair_o write_v in_o parchment_n under_o their_o hand_n and_o seal_n sign_v and_o allow_v by_o any_o two_o or_o more_o of_o the_o respective_a commissioner_n contain_v the_o name_n surname_n and_o place_n of_o abode_n of_o every_o person_n within_o their_o respective_a collection_n that_o shall_v make_v default_n of_o payment_n of_o any_o of_o the_o sum_n that_o shall_v be_v rate_v or_o assess_v on_o such_o person_n by_o virtue_n of_o this_o act_n and_o the_o sum_n and_o sum_n charge_v on_o every_o such_o person_n the_o same_o schedule_n to_o be_v deliver_v by_o the_o head-collector_n to_o the_o receiver-general_a of_o that_o county_n city_n town_n or_o liberty_n respective_o to_o be_v by_o he_o return_v into_o his_o majesty_n exchequer_n whereupon_o every_o person_n so_o make_v default_n of_o payment_n may_v be_v charge_v by_o process_n of_o the_o court_n according_a to_o the_o course_n thereof_o in_o that_o behalf_n degree_n none_o shall_v be_v double_o charge_v for_o his_o title_n or_o degree_n provide_v always_o and_o be_v it_o enact_v that_o no_o person_n shall_v by_o virtue_n of_o this_o act_n be_v double_o charge_v for_o or_o in_o respect_n of_o several_a title_n honour_n or_o degree_n but_o that_o every_o such_o person_n shall_v be_v charge_v and_o assess_v for_o such_o title_n honour_n or_o degree_n only_o as_o be_v high_a rate_v by_o this_o act._n tax_n not_o letter_n patent_n of_o exemption_n allowable_a against_o this_o tax_n and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o no_o letter_n patent_n grant_v by_o the_o king_n majesty_n or_o any_o of_o his_o royal_a progenitor_n or_o to_o be_v grant_v by_o his_o majesty_n to_o any_o person_n or_o person_n city_n borough_n or_o town_n corporate_a within_o this_o realm_n of_o any_o manner_n of_o liberty_n privilege_n or_o exemption_n from_o subsidy_n toll_n tax_n assessment_n or_o aid_n shall_v be_v construe_v or_o take_v to_o exempt_v any_o person_n or_o person_n city_n borough_n or_o town-corporate_a or_o any_o the_o inhabitant_n of_o the_o same_o from_o the_o burden_n and_o charge_n of_o any_o sum_n or_o sum_n of_o money_n grant_v by_o this_o act_n or_o any_o other_o act_n of_o this_o parliament_n now_o in_o force_n to_o the_o aid_n and_o supply_v of_o his_o majesty_n in_o the_o present_a war_n and_o all_o non-obstantes_a in_o any_o such_o letter_n patent_n make_v or_o to_o be_v make_v in_o bar_n of_o any_o act_n or_o act_n of_o parliament_n for_o the_o supply_n or_o assistance_n of_o his_o majesty_n be_v hereby_o declare_v to_o be_v void_a and_o of_o none_o effect_n obstante_fw-la non_fw-la obstante_fw-la any_o such_o letter_n patent_n grant_n or_o chatter_v or_o any_o clause_n of_o non_fw-la obstante_fw-la or_o other_o matter_n or_o thing_n therein_o contain_v or_o any_o law_n or_o statute_n to_o the_o contrary_a notwithstanding_o act._n no_o former_a receiver_n not_o have_v account_v may_v be_v a_o receiver_n upon_o this_o act._n provide_v always_o and_o be_v it_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o if_o any_o person_n be_v a_o receiver_n of_o money_n due_a upon_o any_o former_a act_n of_o this_o present_a parliament_n not_o have_v account_v for_o all_o the_o money_n by_o he_o receive_v and_o to_o be_v account_v for_o upon_o such_o act_n or_o act_n before_o michaelmas_n one_o thousand_o six_o hundred_o sixty_o six_o shall_v be_v appoint_v receiver_n for_o any_o the_o money_n due_a by_o this_o act_n and_o shall_v intermeddle_v therein_o every_o such_o person_n shall_v forfeit_v the_o sum_n of_o five_o hundred_o pound_n to_o direct_v by_o your_o majesty_n relate_v to_o the_o service_n of_o this_o war._n and_o that_o no_o money_n leviable_a by_o this_o act_n be_v issue_v out_o of_o the_o exchequer_n during_o this_o war_n
