diev_n et_fw-fr mon_fw-fr droit_n honi_fw-fr soit_fw-fr qvi_fw-fr mal_fw-fr y_fw-fr pense_fw-fr by_o the_o king_n a_o proclamation_n for_o prevention_n of_o disorder_n which_o may_v be_v commit_v by_o soldier_n charles_n r._n the_o king_n most_o excellent_a majesty_n have_v find_v it_o necessary_a during_o the_o present_a war_n to_o raise_v more_o soldier_n and_o to_o form_v they_o into_o regiment_n and_o dispose_v of_o they_o in_o several_a quarter_n until_o there_o shall_v be_v occasion_n for_o their_o service_n against_o the_o enemy_n and_o be_v desirous_a that_o during_o their_o continuance_n in_o their_o quarter_n no_o kind_n of_o rudeness_n or_o misdemeanour_n shall_v be_v commit_v by_o any_o of_o his_o soldier_n to_o the_o grievance_n or_o dissatisfaction_n of_o any_o of_o his_o subject_n have_v think_v fit_a by_o advice_n of_o his_o privy_a council_n to_o publish_v this_o his_o royal_a proclamation_n and_o do_v hereby_o straight_o charge_v and_o command_v all_o and_o every_o the_o officer_n in_o any_o troop_n or_o regiment_n that_o they_o forthwith_o repair_v unto_o their_o several_a and_o respective_a quarter_n and_o continue_v and_o abide_v there_o without_o presume_v to_o depart_v from_o thence_o unless_o his_o majesty_n licence_n in_o that_o behalf_n under_o his_o royal_a sign_n manual_n shall_v be_v first_o have_v and_o obtain_v and_o his_o majesty_n further_a pleasure_n and_o express_v command_n be_v that_o all_o officer_n and_o soldier_n do_v take_v strict_a care_n that_o no_o violence_n or_o injury_n be_v offer_v to_o any_o of_o his_o majesty_n subject_n either_o in_o their_o person_n or_o estate_n nor_o any_o kind_n of_o disorder_n commit_v or_o suffer_v within_o the_o several_a quarter_n and_o for_o the_o better_a prevention_n of_o all_o abuse_n of_o this_o kind_n his_o majesty_n do_v hereby_o require_v all_o and_o every_o his_o love_a subject_n when_o and_o as_o often_o as_o they_o shall_v receive_v any_o kind_n of_o injury_n or_o abuse_v from_o any_o of_o the_o soldier_n under_o his_o majesty_n day_n forthwith_o to_o make_v their_o complaint_n unto_o the_o officer_n or_o officer_n under_o who_o such_o soldier_n shall_v serve_v which_o officer_n upon_o such_o complaint_n make_v shall_v immediate_o relieve_v the_o complainant_n or_o otherwise_o wherein_o the_o case_n shall_v so_o require_v deliver_v up_o the_o offender_n to_o the_o civil_a magistrate_n to_o be_v proceed_v against_o according_a to_o law_n and_o it_o upon_o such_o complaint_n make_v the_o complainants_n shall_v not_o find_v a_o present_a satisfaction_n and_o redress_n or_o a_o delivery_n of_o the_o offender_n as_o aforesaid_a that_o then_o they_o cause_v information_n thereof_o to_o be_v give_v to_o some_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n who_o shall_v take_v the_o same_o upon_o oath_n and_o certify_v it_o unto_o one_o of_o his_o majesty_n principal_a secretary_n of_o state_n to_o the_o end_n the_o same_o may_v be_v bring_v before_o his_o majesty_n who_o will_v gracious_o vouchsafe_v to_o hear_v the_o matter_n himself_o and_o not_o only_o give_v the_o petitioner_n a_o full_a and_o ample_a relief_n but_o likewise_o severe_o punish_v the_o officer_n who_o shall_v be_v find_v to_o have_v be_v negligent_a in_o his_o duty_n or_o shall_v suffer_v any_o just_a complaint_n to_o pass_v without_o a_o due_a and_o timely_a redress_n and_o it_o be_v his_o majesty_n pleasure_n that_o this_o proclamation_n be_v set_v up_o and_o remain_v affix_v in_o all_o market-town_n within_o this_o kingdom_n give_v at_o our_o court_n at_o whitehall_n the_o four_o day_n of_o december_n in_o the_o four_o and_o twenty_o year_n of_o our_o reign_n 1672._o god_n save_v the_o king_n london_n print_v by_o the_o assign_v of_o john_n bill_n and_o christopher_n barker_n printer_n to_o the_o king_n most_o excellent_a majesty_n 1672._o
