name_n of_o the_o church_n to_o enjoin_v they_o upon_o all_o person_n in_o all_o time_n and_o upon_o all_o occasion_n to_o be_v use_v and_o no_o other_o and_o upon_o this_o ground_n which_o make_v such_o as_o be_v so_o make_v and_o so_o approve_v lest_o through_o ignorance_n or_o want_v of_o care_n and_o circumspection_n something_o may_v slip_v in_o that_o be_v contrary_a to_o the_o faith_n but_o i_o fear_v here_o be_v anguis_fw-la in_fw-la herba_fw-la and_o that_o my_o lord_n be_v not_o satisfy_v not_o so_o much_o because_o these_o 〈◊〉_d form_n be_v make_v by_o a_o set_a number_n of_o man_n as_o because_o they_o be_v churchman_n though_o he_o be_v 〈◊〉_d to_o express_v it_o and_o if_o that_o be_v his_o meaning_n he_o must_v rest_v unsatisfied_a still_o for_o churchman_n and_o none_o but_o churchman_n must_v actual_o do_v public_a churchwork_a according_a to_o their_o call_v and_o their_o warrant_n and_o yet_o i_o hope_v churchman_n will_v never_o be_v so_o proud_a but_o that_o if_o any_o lay_v religious_a man_n of_o large_a comprehension_n than_o themselves_o will_v offer_v in_o private_a any_o help_n to_o they_o they_o will_v lend_v a_o open_a ear_n to_o it_o and_o after_o with_o a_o prudent_a consideration_n do_v what_o be_v fit_a and_o as_o this_o lord_n be_v not_o satisfy_v that_o a_o certain_a number_n of_o man_n shall_v make_v these_o set_a form_n so_o much_o less_o be_v he_o satisfy_v that_o when_o this_o be_v do_v they_o shall_v under_o the_o name_n of_o the_o church_n enjoin_v they_o upon_o all_o person_n in_o all_o time_n and_o upon_o all_o occasion_n to_o be_v use_v and_o no_o other_o no_o set_v form_n that_o i_o know_v be_v enjoin_v under_o the_o name_n of_o the_o church_n but_o such_o as_o the_o church_n in_o synod_n have_v approve_v or_o they_o be_v in_o my_o judgement_n very_o obscure_o set_v down_o and_o perhaps_o that_o be_v his_o lordship_n meaning_n that_o it_o make_v the_o matter_n the_o worse_o because_o these_o form_n of_o
prayer_n come_v as_o from_o the_o public_a spirit_n of_o the_o church_n when_o it_o be_v but_o the_o bishop_n or_o his_o chaplain_n or_o some_o private_a spirit_n that_o frame_v they_o if_o this_o be_v my_o lord_n meaning_n far_o be_v it_o from_o i_o or_o any_o other_o to_o impose_v any_o form_n of_o set_a prayer_n upon_o the_o church_n but_o it_o be_v one_o thing_n to_o impose_v and_o quite_o another_o to_o compose_v a_o set_a form_n of_o prayer_n impose_v none_o can_v but_o just_a authority_n compose_v all_o together_o can_v but_o some_o one_o or_o more_o must_v be_v single_v out_o to_o take_v that_o pain_n and_o all_o or_o most_o may_v approve_v what_o one_o or_o few_o have_v compile_v when_o it_o be_v so_o approve_a than_o it_o can_v no_o more_o be_v say_v to_o proceed_v from_o that_o will_v use_v they_o might_n and_o he_o that_o will_v not_o might_n choose_v and_o this_o in_o short_a time_n will_v bring_v mere_a confusion_n into_o the_o church_n of_o god_n which_o i_o hope_n be_v not_o my_o lord_n intention_n to_o do_v beside_o my_o lord_n can_v but_o know_v that_o this_o injunction_n for_o our_o set_a form_n of_o service_n come_v not_o from_o the_o church_n direction_n and_o constitution_n though_o her_o wisdom_n and_o piety_n frame_v it_o but_o from_o the_o authority_n and_o power_n of_o king_n and_o parliament_n so_o that_o all_o the_o argument_n which_o his_o lordship_n bring_v here_o against_o the_o church_n be_v equal_o if_o not_o more_o set_v against_o the_o king_n and_o the_o parliament_n well_o why_o then_o be_v not_o a_o injunction_n of_o set_a form_n of_o prayer_n fit_a why_o my_o lord_n tell_v you_o first_o because_o it_o be_v a_o usurpation_n of_o power_n over_o the_o church_n of_o christ._n it_o be_v indeed_o a_o act_n of_o power_n but_o no_o usurpation_n the_o church_n direct_v and_o the_o sovereign_n enact_v ever_o have_v this_o power_n since_o state_n become_v christian._n and_o shall_v i_o have_v call_v it_o a_o usurpation_n of_o power_n his_o lordship_n i_o fear_v will_v have_v call_v it_o treason_n against_o the_o king_n supremacy_n but_o i_o doubt_v my_o lord_n will_v have_v the_o church_n free_a from_o regal_a power_n have_v aught_o to_o do_v with_o they_o dare_v he_o speak_v out_o second_o because_o it_o be_v a_o usurpation_n of_o power_n over_o the_o gift_n and_o grace_n which_o god_n have_v give_v unto_o men._n not_o so_o neither_o for_o whatsoever_o gift_n or_o grace_n god_n have_v give_v unto_o man_n they_o may_v all_o have_v time_n place_n and_o occasion_n enough_o to_o use_v they_o passage_n i_o can_v agree_v with_o my_o lord_n in_o nothing_o for_o first_o my_o lord_n but_o a_o very_a little_a before_o tell_v of_o yoke_n of_o bondage_n and_o gross_a corruption_n and_o be_v be_v such_o thing_n as_o though_o they_o be_v indifferent_a to_o other_o yet_o to_o they_o they_o be_v not_o but_o burden_n and_o it_o may_v be_v they_o make_v they_o so_o for_o in_o their_o own_o
