presumptuous_a faith_n take_v with_o your_o unbelief_n and_o presumption_n say_v not_o ignorant_o that_o you_o shall_v do_v as_o you_o can_v though_o you_o can_v do_v as_o you_o will_v you_o be_v not_o well_o tell_v how_o to_o expose_v popery_n armenianisme_n or_o antinomianism_n if_o they_o be_v tempt_v to_o embrace_v they_o or_o any_o other_o erroneous_a heresy_n and_o when_o withal_o we_o consider_v how_o natural_o we_o be_v incline_v to_o shuffle_v by_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n and_o to_o cleave_v to_o the_o way_n of_o work_n or_o to_o turn_v the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n into_o sidehearer_n who_o as_o soon_o as_o they_o hear_v the_o word_n some_o devil_n like_o a_o crow_n come_v and_o pick_v it_o up_o therefore_o to_o prevent_v this_o you_o will_v seek_v to_o have_v the_o word_n of_o god_n dwell_v rich_o in_o you_o you_o will_v meditate_v on_o it_o till_o you_o be_v convince_v of_o your_o hazard_n and_o get_v the_o affection_n some_o way_n stir_v according_a to_o the_o know_v what_o this_o be_v labour_n 1_o to_o know_v and_o to_o take_v up_o the_o difference_n betwixt_o self-righteousnesse_n and_o that_o righteousness_n which_o be_v by_o faith_n for_o many_o be_v so_o ignorant_a that_o they_o know_v neither_o the_o one_o nor_o the_o other_o or_o at_o least_o not_o the_o one_o by_o the_o other_o 2._o when_o you_o be_v come_v to_o know_v the_o difference_n betwixt_o these_o two_o and_o be_v sober_o weigh_v what_o you_o will_v lippen_n to_o in_o your_o come_n before_o god_n with_o indignation_n shuffle_v out_o and_o cast_v by_o disclaim_v and_o renunce_v your_o own_o righteousness_n and_o grip_v to_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n here_o faith_n will_v have_v a_o double_a work_n upon_o the_o one_o hand_n to_o reject_v self-righteousnesse_n and_o upon_o the_o other_o hand_n to_o rest_v upon_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n alone_o according_a to_o that_o philip._n 3.9_o 3._o when_o you_o have_v get_v your_o own_o righteousness_n casten_z and_o christ_n righteousness_n close_v with_o there_o be_v a_o necessity_n to_o cover_v and_o hide_v yourselves_o in_o it_o that_o you_o may_v never_o so_o much_o as_o in_o the_o vage_v conceit_n of_o your_o mind_n be_v find_v out_o of_o it_o it_o allud_v to_o the_o city_n of_o refuge_n wherein_o when_o once_o enter_v into_o and_o abiden_v in_o the_o person_n be_v safe_a buâ—_n if_o he_o be_v at_o any_o time_n find_v without_o he_o be_v in_o hazard_n to_o be_v kill_v by_o the_o avengâ—â—_n of_o blood_n which_o hold_v out_o not_o only_o the_o act_n of_o faith_n flee_v to_o christ_n but_o it_o be_v abide_v in_o he_o be_v hide_n in_o he_o contain_v and_o keep_v itself_o in_o he_o and_o continue_v to_o plead_v its_o defence_n on_o that_o ground_n there_o may_v be_v in_o a_o fit_a of_o sad_a exercise_n a_o renounce_n of_o our_o own_o righteousness_n but_o when_o that_o be_v over_o and_o we_o begin_v to_o conceit_v something_o of_o that_o which_o we_o have_v do_v we_o be_v ready_a to_o forget_v christ_n righteousness_n and_o to_o lean_v to_o our_o own_o and_o that_o it_o in_o a_o manner_n to_o come_v out_o of_o christ_n and_o from_o our_o city_n of_o refuge_n if_o ever_o we_o be_v in_o he_o faith_n as_o it_o betake_v itself_o to_o christ_n so_o it_o state_n itself_o in_o christ_n where_o only_o it_o dare_v abide_v the_o trial_n 2._o we_o will_v commend_v this_o to_o you_o as_o the_o great_a ground_n of_o your_o peace_n and_o hope_n even_o that_o you_o will_v put_v it_o to_o the_o trial_n and_o make_v it_o sure_a whether_o you_o be_v in_o the_o faith_n or_o not_o it_o be_v true_a there_o be_v many_o beguile_v in_o this_o and_o take_v themselves_o to_o be_v in_o the_o faith_n when_o they_o be_v not_o and_z other_o question_n their_o faith_n and_o their_o be_v justify_v without_o just_a ground_n yet_o it_o be_v impossible_a to_o win_v to_o clearness_n of_o interest_n in_o christ_n or_o to_o the_o have_v of_o any_o solid_a and_o comfortable_a hope_n of_o enjoy_v god_n except_o there_o be_v some_o clearness_n that_o we_o be_v in_o the_o faith_n and_o have_v indeed_o betake_v ourselves_o to_o christ_n which_o can_v be_v win_v at_o without_o put_v it_o to_o the_o tâ—â—al_a other_o evidence_n serve_v to_o clear_v our_o justification_n as_o they_o clear_v our_o faith_n and_o as_o they_o prâ—ve_v faith_n so_o they_o conclude_v and_o prove_v our_o justification_n and_o the_o out-gate_n promise_v now_o if_o believe_v be_v such_o a_o evidence_n of_o justification_n and_o of_o a_o well_o ground_a hope_n of_o heaven_n be_v there_o not_o reason_n we_o shall_v put_v it_o in_o good_a â—earâ—esâ—_n and_o frequent_o to_o the_o trial_n and_o seek_v to_o know_v whether_o we_o be_v in_o the_o faith_n or_o not_o the_o apostle_n 2._o cor._n 13.5_o double_v his_o
