church_n for_o in_o civil_a war_n as_o schism_n be_v nothing_o but_o a_o civil_a war_n in_o the_o church_n that_o party_n that_o divide_v be_v the_o likely_a to_o ruin_n and_o though_o the_o first_o hope_n of_o the_o see_v of_o rome_n have_v prove_v addle_n yet_o if_o our_o division_n prevail_v they_o must_v needs_o have_v fresh_a hope_n to_o prevail_v by_o our_o division_n chap._n viii_o that_o it_o be_v the_o duty_n of_o this_o kingdom_n and_o of_o all_o christian_a sovereignty_n and_o therefore_o i_o must_v free_o profess_v my_o opinion_n without_o any_o manner_n of_o hope_n that_o ever_o secure_v their_o subject_n conscience_n of_o the_o salvation_n they_o seek_v in_o exercise_v their_o christianity_n according_a to_o their_o law_n but_o by_o confine_v the_o reformation_n which_o they_o maintain_v within_o those_o bound_n which_o the_o faith_n and_o the_o law_n of_o the_o whole_a church_n either_o require_v or_o allow_v now_o how_o can_v the_o interest_n of_o the_o nation_n be_v secure_v without_o due_a ground_n for_o hope_n of_o god_n blessing_n upon_o that_o which_o shall_v be_v do_v how_o can_v there_o be_v ground_n to_o expect_v god_n blessing_n till_o it_o appear_v how_o all_o subject_n of_o this_o kingdom_n shall_v stand_v discharge_v at_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n follow_v that_o form_n which_o the_o kingdom_n inact_v rather_o than_o that_o which_o the_o well_o stand_v discharge_v to_o god_n upon_o the_o same_o plea_n as_o the_o subject_n of_o reform_a prince_n and_o state_n and_o how_o shall_v the_o conscience_n of_o they_o that_o make_v law_n be_v the_o legislative_a power_n to_o make_v law_n for_o the_o kingdom_n which_o they_o can_v enact_v by_o no_o penalty_n and_o how_o shall_v this_o difficulty_n be_v void_v but_o by_o demand_v nothing_o but_o that_o which_o christianity_n will_v require_v of_o all_o christian_n that_o no_o christian_a kingdom_n
