of_o their_o spirit_n upon_o the_o like_a double_a respect_n and_o this_o be_v equitable_a upon_o a_o very_a great_a account_n for_o his_o relation_n of_o father_n be_v more_o eminent_a to_o his_o grace_n by_o election_n and_o then_o again_o by_o the_o grace_n of_o his_o second_o creation_n than_o it_o can_v be_v any_o way_n suppose_v to_o be_v by_o the_o first_o creation_n and_o therefore_o be_v set_v and_o pitch_v in_o like_o singularity_n and_o eminency_n upon_o the_o same_o object_n that_o be_v their_o spirit_n and_o hence_o it_o may_v well_o yea_o must_v be_v suppose_v and_o acknowledge_v that_o if_o god_n do_v make_v such_o a_o darling_n of_o the_o soul_n such_o a_o account_n of_o it_o by_o creation_n as_o to_o entitle_v himself_o so_o special_o the_o father_n thereof_o then_o certain_o this_o love_n of_o grace_n much_o more_o have_v in_o like_o equipage_n take_v up_o the_o same_o gracious_a special_a relation_n in_o its_o kind_n of_o father_n thereunto_o not_o only_o because_o natura_fw-la shall_v never_o be_v find_v to_o exceed_v grace_n in_o its_o favour_n but_o that_o indeed_o the_o motive_n be_v far_o great_a that_o god_n shall_v extend_v the_o like_a and_o great_a privilege_n where_o he_o mean_v to_o love_v by_o election_n and_o choice_n than_o he_o do_v where_o he_o love_v only_o by_o a_o due_a and_o meet_a law_n of_o creation_n so_o that_o when_o god_n shall_v profess_v himself_o a_o father_n to_o their_o spirit_n speak_v to_o such_o as_o be_v his_o elect_a he_o strong_o insinuate_v thereby_o that_o he_o be_v by_o grace_n likewise_o the_o father_n of_o their_o spirit_n in_o a_o peculiar_a manner_n and_o true_o that_o speech_n of_o our_o saviour_n at_o his_o death_n confirm_v it_o father_n into_o thy_o hand_n i_o commit_v my_o spirit_n it_o be_v not_o bare_o as_o a_o father_n of_o his_o spirit_n by_o creation_n as_o our_o all_o know_v but_o by_o everlasting_a love_n and_o so_o in_o that_o respect_n also_o in_o a_o peculiar_a manner_n the_o father_n of_o his_o spirit_n and_o therefore_o as_o to_o a_o father_n he_o commend_v his_o separate_a spirit_n unto_o he_o and_o this_o he_o do_v although_o he_o be_v to_o rise_v again_o in_o less_o than_o three_o whole_a day_n
space_n now_o we_o read_v heb._n 12._o 12._o the_o apostle_n to_o hold_v forth_o this_o very_a relation_n of_o god_n be_v a_o father_n of_o spirit_n with_o this_o promise_n thereunto_o annex_v that_o they_o shall_v live_v which_o relation_n of_o father_n etc._n etc._n although_o it_o be_v there_o explicit_o speak_v in_o respect_n of_o their_o first_o creation_n which_o be_v common_a unto_o the_o saint_n with_o other_o yet_o be_v utter_v of_o and_o unto_o man_n in_o the_o state_n of_o grace_n as_o those_o be_v suppose_v who_o he_o there_o exhort_v and_o that_o to_o move_v they_o to_o be_v subject_a unto_o he_o as_o such_o with_o promise_n that_o they_o shall_v live_v it_o evident_o respect_v not_o mere_o the_o relation_n of_o father_n in_o respect_n of_o what_o be_v past_o the_o act_n of_o create_v they_o but_o it_o look_v to_o the_o future_a that_o they_o depend_v upon_o he_o as_o child_n do_v upon_o father_n for_o their_o future_a livelihood_n so_o these_o for_o to_o live_v in_o he_o and_o with_o he_o as_o a_o father_n to_o their_o spirit_n by_o grace_n for_o i_o take_v hold_v of_o that_o word_n and_o live_v this_o life_n be_v well_o interpret_v by_o ver._n 14._o they_o shall_v see_v god_n that_o be_v be_v glorify_v and_o so_o i_o conclude_v all_o thus_o that_o if_o he_o will_v have_v they_o be_v subject_a unto_o god_n in_o holiness_n as_o upon_o that_o relation_n as_o unto_o the_o father_n of_o spirit_n with_o this_o promise_n that_o they_o shall_v live_v then_o sure_o one_o special_a aim_n of_o the_o promise_n be_v answerable_a and_o have_v this_o eye_n that_o god_n as_o a_o father_n of_o their_o spirit_n will_v therefore_o take_v care_n of_o their_o spirit_n single_o and_o so_o when_o separate_a that_o they_o shall_v live_v and_o that_o according_o he_o will_v give_v demonstration_n of_o this_o special_a relation_n bear_v to_o their_o spirit_n when_o the_o occasion_n shall_v be_v consider_v apart_o in_o bestow_v this_o life_n on_o they_o and_o true_o when_o its_o more_o proper_a for_o he_o to_o show_v himself_o a_o father_n then_o when_o their_o soul_n after_o their_o subjection_n to_o he_o in_o holiness_n here_o accomplish_v and_o when_o that_o as_o naked_a spirit_n they_o come_v to_o stand_v in_o need_n and_o stand_v afore_o he_o in_o his_o presence_n be_v now_o turn_v out_o of_o house_n and_o home_n and_o quite_o cashier_v out_o of_o this_o world_n and_o come_v strip_v and_o naked_a of_o all_o but_o holiness_n unto_o their_o father_n for_o it_o be_v say_v they_o return_v to_o god_n that_o give_v they_o who_o prove_v to_o be_v their_o father_n by_o grace_n and_o doubt_v not_o of_o it_o but_o he_o will_v certain_o then_o own_v they_o and_o give_v they_o a_o father_n blessing_n and_o not_o reject_v they_o as_o if_o they_o be_v but_o bastard_n and_o no_o child_n as_o that_o chapter_n to_o the_o hebrew_n speak_v but_o as_o spirit_n who_o as_o son_n that_o have_v serve_v he_o and_o be_v subject_n to_o he_o add_v to_o this_o four_o god_n his_o be_v our_o god_n which_o be_v more_o home_n to_o the_o demonstration_n of_o this_o point_n than_o all_o the_o former_a the_o text_n say_v he_o that_o wrought_v we_o for_o this_o be_v god_n i_o add_v he_o be_v your_o god_n and_o this_o alone_a if_o we_o will_v take_v the_o scripture_n verdict_n will_v carry_v it_o and_o lo_o as_o he_o be_v style_v the_o father_n of_o spirit_n in_o common_a and_o yet_o withal_o a_o father_n of_o their_o spirit_n out_o of_o special_a love_n so_o in_o like_o manner_n 22._o he_o be_v style_v both_o the_o god_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o all_o flesh_n that_o be_v of_o man_n job_n 12._o 20._o thus_o in_o common_a and_o also_o to_o his_o elect_a i_o be_o your_o god_n by_o grace_n and_o these_o two_o relation_n god_n and_o father_n be_v commensurate_a and_o exact_o parallel_v whether_o they_o be_v apply_v unto_o all_o man_n in_o common_a or_o to_o the_o elect_a in_o special_a he_o be_v term_v the_o god_n of_o the_o spirit_n and_o likewise_o the_o father_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o all_o man_n so_o in_o common_a answerable_o he_o be_v your_o god_n and_o your_o father_n by_o special_a grace_n to_o his_o elect_a both_o which_o in_o this_o latter_a respect_n you_o find_v yoke_v hand_n in_o hand_n joh._n 20._o 17._o look_v how_o far_o he_o be_v a_o god_n of_o the_o one_o so_o far_o a_o father_n also_o extend_v in_o the_o other_o and_o look_v how_o far_o that_o he_o be_v our_o god_n so_o far_o reach_v also_o that_o he_o be_v our_o father_n if_o therefore_o the_o god_n of_o our_o spirit_n to_o provide_v for_o they_o covenant_n of_o grace_n do_v engage_v he_o to_o provide_v glory_n for_o separate_a soul_n that_o one_o instance_n of_o abraham_n the_o father_n of_o the_o faithful_a and_o we_o all_o his_o son_n personate_v in_o he_o be_v a_o sufficient_a evidence_n god_n do_v profess_v himself_o the_o god_n of_o abraham_n isaac_n and_o jacob_n and_o unto_o abraham_n gen._n 15._o 1._o personal_o i_o be_o thy_o abundant_a reward_n which_o respect_v the_o life_n to_o come_v and_o his_o friend_n 2_o chron._n 20._o 7._o now_o the_o scripture_n of_o the_o new_a testament_n do_v improve_v this_o relation_n appear_v that_o this_o flow_v from_o god_n have_v profess_v himself_o to_o be_v the_o god_n of_o abraham_n etc._n etc._n his_o reward_n and_o his_o friend_n you_o have_v this_o clear_a in_o the_o 16_o verse_n where_o you_o have_v the_o whole_a sum_v up_o as_o the_o conclusion_n of_o the_o story_n and_o as_o the_o proof_n and_o ground_n hereof_o but_o now_o they_o desire_v a_o better_a country_n that_o be_v a_o heavenly_a there_o be_v their_o faith_n and_o expectation_n when_o they_o shall_v come_v to_o die_v then_o it_o follow_v wherefore_o god_n be_v not_o ashamed_a to_o be_v call_v their_o god_n for_o he_o have_v prepare_v for_o they_o a_o city_n which_o be_v speak_v in_o full_a answer_n to_o that_o their_o expectation_n at_o their_o death_n to_o show_v that_o god_n in_o profess_v himself_o to_o be_v their_o god_n he_o have_v thereby_o engage_v himself_o according_a to_o his_o own_o intent_n in_o that_o promise_n to_o make_v this_o provision_n for_o they_o at_o their_o death_n the_o word_n be_v express_v wherefore_o god_n be_v not_o ashamed_a what_o shall_v this_o mean_a in_o this_o coherence_n but_o that_o his_o declare_v himself_o to_o be_v their_o
