favourable_o on_o you_o and_o prosper_v you_o but_o if_o you_o continue_v obstinate_a and_o rebellious_a as_o hitherto_o you_o have_v do_v the_o sword_n of_o god_n wrath_n shall_v utter_o devour_v they_o and_o profess_v themselves_o to_o be_v pillar_n of_o god_n people_n can_v fall_v to_o so_o gross_a error_n in_o religion_n as_o that_o they_o dare_v bring_v the_o worship_v of_o image_n into_o find_v the_o minister_n of_o god_n true_a religion_n or_o to_o relieve_v their_o poor_a christian_n brethren_n they_o will_v grudge_v to_o give_v a_o small_a portion_n yea_o or_o any_o thing_n at_o all_o but_o rather_o seek_v to_o take_v that_o from_o they_o that_o by_o order_n they_o have_v already_o be_v there_o not_o think_v you_o in_o england_n that_o when_o time_n be_v can_v be_v content_v to_o give_v forty_o shilling_n toward_o the_o gyld_n of_o a_o gay_a image_n or_o twenty_o noble_n to_o buy_v a_o suit_n of_o cope_n that_o now_o will_v not_o without_o murmur_v give_v six_o penny_n to_o buy_v a_o bible_n or_o other_o book_n of_o service_n then_o nabuchodonosor_n send_v forth_o to_o gather_v together_o the_o duke_n etc_n lord_n etc_n etc_n in_o these_o verse_n follow_v be_v noise_n of_o cornet_n trumpet_n harp_n shawm_n psaltery_n dulcimer_n and_o all_o manner_n of_o musical_a instrument_n to_o all_o this_o come_v the_o exceed_a ready_a obedience_n of_o all_o the_o multitude_n of_o subject_n and_o sure_o it_o be_v much_o to_o be_v marvel_v that_o in_o so_o great_a a_o number_n of_o noble_a man_n of_o so_o great_a wisdom_n and_o experience_n &_o such_o a_o multitude_n of_o people_n there_o shall_v not_o so_o much_o as_o one_o rise_v up_o &_o say_v why_o shall_v man_n endue_v with_o reason_n and_o understanding_n 28._o and_o make_v to_o the_o *_o image_n reason_n and_o be_v stay_v up_o by_o the_o declaration_n of_o god_n holy_a will_n reveal_v in_o his_o word_n the_o prophet_n be_v in_o this_o watchtower_n say_v the_o lord_n answer_v he_o that_o be_v that_o god_n by_o his_o holy_a spirit_n reveal_v to_o he_o that_o he_o shall_v write_v a_o vision_n and_o that_o so_o plain_o and_o in_o so_o great_a letter_n that_o a_o man_n run_v by_o in_o haste_n may_v read_v it_o in_o that_o the_o prophet_n so_o easy_o obtain_v answer_v of_o god_n we_o also_o be_v teach_v that_o when_o with_o earnest_a meditation_n and_o prayer_n we_o seek_v to_o understand_v the_o will_n of_o god_n and_o what_o be_v best_a for_o we_o to_o do_v he_o will_v not_o fail_v by_o his_o grace_n to_o lighten_v our_o mind_n to_o the_o understanding_n thereof_o if_o thou_o seek_v understanding_n say_v solomon_n as_o silver_n 4._o and_o search_v it_o out_o as_o great_a treasure_n thou_o shall_v understand_v the_o fear_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o find_v out_o the_o knowledge_n of_o god._n the_o sum_n of_o this_o vision_n be_v that_o those_o proud_a chaldies_n which_o do_v so_o afflict_v his_o people_n and_o glory_n in_o their_o own_o strength_n notwithstanding_o that_o they_o do_v seem_v for_o the_o time_n to_o prosper_v and_o to_o be_v a_o scourge_n to_o other_o yet_o in_o short_a space_n by_o god_n just_a judgement_n for_o their_o wickedness_n shall_v be_v bring_v to_o confusion_n and_o make_v a_o laugh_a stock_n to_o the_o world_n this_o answer_n god_n will_v the_o prophet_n to_o set_v up_o in_o writing_n that_o all_o his_o people_n may_v see_v it_o and_o read_v it_o to_o their_o assure_a comfort_n when_o the_o prophet_n add_v the_o vision_n be_v yet_o for_o a_o appoint_a time_n 3._o but_o at_o the_o last_o it_o shall_v speak_v and_o not_o lie_v and_o though_o it_o tarry_v yet_o it_o shall_v assure_o come_v and_o not_o stay_v etc_n etc_n he_o mean_v that_o the_o content_n of_o the_o vision_n shall_v not_o forthwith_o be_v fulfil_v but_o after_o a_o certain_a space_n and_o therefore_o will_v they_o patient_o to_o abide_v the_o time_n for_o that_o undoubted_o in_o the_o end_n it_o shall_v come_v to_o pass_v and_o so_o in_o deed_n be_v it_o fulfil_v about_o 70._o year_n after_o the_o destruction_n of_o jerusalem_n and_o lead_v of_o the_o people_n captive_a into_o babylon_n at_o which_o time_n cyrus_n take_v and_o spoil_v babylon_n and_o transfer_v the_o empire_n to_o the_o persian_n behold_v he_o that_o lift_v up_o himself_o 4._o his_o mind_n be_v not_o upright_o in_o he_o but_o etc_n etc_n he_o say_v the_o prophet_n that_o lift_v up_o his_o mind_n upon_o confidence_n &_o trust_n of_o his_o own_o device_n help_v and_o strength_n and_o thereby_o think_v that_o he_o shall_v be_v safe_a against_o all_o mutability_n of_o fortune_n or_o other_o danger_n that_o may_v come_v shall_v never_o have_v sure_a quietness_n &_o tranquillity_n of_o mind_n but_o ever_o be_v toss_v to_o &_o fro_o with_o new_a device_n 11._o for_o god_n will_v *_o frustrate_v the_o counsel_n of_o such_o person_n but_o the_o good_a just_a man_n which_o with_o a_o assure_a fayth*_n stay_v himself_o upon_o the_o word_n and_o promise_n of_o god_n in_o all_o danger_n both_o worldly_a and_o spiritual_a shall_v not_o fail_v of_o tranquillity_n and_o quietness_n of_o mind_n for_o he_o have_v the_o unfallible_a truth_n &_o the_o almighty_a power_n of_o god_n whereon_o he_o rest_v wherefore_o by_o this_o verse_n the_o prophet_n will_v the_o people_n 6_o to_o *_o lay_n aside_o all_o confidence_n of_o worldly_a help_n and_o to_o rest_v only_o in_o god_n truth_n and_o his_o promise_n this_o sentence_n be_v not_o only_o to_o be_v apply_v to_o worldly_a affliction_n and_o care_n but_o also_o and_o especial_o to_o the_o torment_n of_o conscience_n against_o sin_n and_o satan_n and_o all_o our_o spiritual_a enemy_n 11._o and_o so_o do_v saint_n paul_n use_v galat._n 3_n yea_o in_o deed_n the_o proud_a man_n be_v as_o he_o that_o transgress_v by_o wine_n 5._o therefore_o shall_v etc_n etc_n here_o the_o prophet_n begin_v to_o declare_v what_o shall_v come_v to_o the_o empire_n of_o babylon_n &_o of_o the_o chaldee_n together_o with_o the_o cause_n wherewith_o god_n be_v move_v thereto_o the_o proud_a man_n say_v he_o that_o be_v the_o proud_a and_o ambitious_a babylonian_a be_v like_a to_o a_o drunken_a man_n that_o have_v pass_v all_o measure_n in_o drink_v of_o wine_n as_o in_o the_o drunkarde_a the_o vapour_n of_o the_o wine_n ascend_v to_o the_o head_n so_o trouble_v the_o brain_n and_o take_v away_o the_o right_a use_n of_o sense_n and_o reason_n that_o without_o shame_n or_o measure_n he_o run_v headlong_o to_o all_o filthiness_n and_o the_o more_o he_o have_v pour_v in_o the_o more_o still_o he_o desire_v to_o drink_v even_o so_o the_o proud_a and_o *_o ambitious_a spirit_n of_o the_o babylonian_a do_v so_o trouble_v his_o mind_n with_o vain_a imagination_n
