ordinary_a mean_n of_o gain_v that_o grace_n which_o be_v requisite_a either_o for_o salvation_n itself_o or_o at_o least_o for_o our_o assurance_n of_o it_o beside_o the_o sacrament_n and_o 2._o by_o show_v direct_o that_o the_o grace_n confer_v in_o the_o sacrament_n be_v of_o such_o a_o nature_n as_o to_o suppose_v the_o person_n to_o who_o it_o have_v not_o yet_o be_v give_v in_o a_o unsalvable_a condition_n from_o the_o former_a it_o will_v principal_o appear_v that_o the_o grace_n be_v not_o otherwise_o to_o be_v expect_v ordinary_o than_o by_o the_o sacrament_n from_o the_o late_a that_o this_o grace_n be_v such_o as_o that_o salvation_n can_v ordinary_o be_v expect_v without_o it_o §_o viii_o 1._o therefore_o i_o shall_v endeavour_v to_o disprove_v those_o other_o ordinary_a mean_n which_o be_v or_o may_v be_v pretend_v to_o by_o they_o who_o be_v out_o of_o the_o communion_n of_o the_o church_n and_o they_o be_v especial_o two_o either_o the_o hear_n of_o the_o word_n preach_v or_o private_a prayer_n the_o former_a will_n at_o least_o so_o far_o serve_v our_o purpose_n as_o to_o oblige_v man_n to_o depend_v on_o some_o assembly_n and_o consequent_o on_o the_o power_n of_o those_o who_o alone_o enjoy_v the_o power_n of_o call_v such_o assembly_n or_o at_o least_o to_o depend_v on_o the_o preacher_n but_o the_o late_a be_v such_o as_o if_o it_o be_v allow_v to_o be_v a_o ordinary_a mean_n of_o obtain_v that_o grace_n which_o be_v necessary_a for_o salvation_n will_v excuse_v man_n not_o only_o from_o all_o sacrament_n but_o from_o all_o assembly_n too_o and_o will_v allow_v a_o liberty_n to_o those_o who_o join_v with_o no_o party_n at_o all_o on_o pretence_n of_o the_o sufficiency_n of_o their_o closet-devotion_n which_o be_v a_o thing_n i_o be_o therefore_o the_o more_o willing_a to_o warn_v they_o of_o that_o none_o may_v venture_v to_o defend_v this_o late_a way_n till_o they_o have_v first_o consider_v how_o they_o can_v
