sense_n but_o be_v strict_o to_o be_v tie_v to_o the_o ten_o commandment_n who_o proper_a work_n be_v only_o by_o show_v the_o soul_n its_o sin_n against_o this_o law_n to_o kill_v and_o there_o leave_v he_o stark_o dead_a not_o give_v he_o the_o least_o life_n or_o support_v or_o comfort_n but_o leave_v the_o soul_n in_o a_o helpless_a and_o hopeless_a condition_n as_o from_o itself_o or_o any_o other_o mere_a creature_n it_o be_v true_a the_o law_n have_v lay_v all_o man_n for_o dead_a as_o they_o come_v into_o the_o world_n but_o all_o man_n do_v not_o see_v themselves_o dead_a until_o they_o see_v that_o law_n that_o strike_v they_o dead_a stick_v in_o their_o soul_n and_o have_v strike_v they_o that_o fatal_a blow_n as_o a_o man_n that_o be_v fast_o asleep_a in_o a_o house_n and_o that_o on_o fire_n about_o his_o ear_n and_o he_o not_o know_v of_o it_o because_o he_o be_v asleep_a even_o so_o because_o poor_a soul_n be_v asleep_a in_o sin_n though_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n 31._o verse_n 31._o the_o curse_n of_o his_o law_n and_o the_o flame_n of_o hell_n have_v beset_v they_o round_o about_o yet_o they_o do_v not_o believe_v it_o because_o they_o be_v asleep_a in_o sin_n now_o he_o that_o be_v awaken_v and_o see_v this_o sees_z that_o through_o this_o he_o be_v a_o dead_a man_n even_o so_o they_o that_o do_v see_v their_o state_n by_o nature_n be_v such_o a_o sad_a condition_n do_v also_o see_v themselves_o by_o that_o law_n to_o be_v dead_a man_n natural_o but_o now_o when_o do_v thou_o feel_v the_o power_n of_o this_o first_o part_n of_o the_o scripture_n the_o law_n so_o mighty_a as_o to_o strike_v thou_o dead_a if_o not_o thou_o do_v not_o so_o much_o as_o very_o believe_v that_o part_n of_o scripture_n that_o do_v contain_v the_o law_n in_o it_o to_o be_v the_o truth_n of_o god_n yet_o if_o thou_o shall_v have_v feel_v something_o i_o say_v something_o of_o the_o kill_a power_n of_o the_o law_n of_o god_n in_o thy_o heart_n this_o be_v not_o a_o argument_n to_o prove_v that_o thou_o believe_v all_o the_o thing_n contain_v in_o scripture_n for_o there_o be_v gospel_n as_o well_o as_o law_n and_o therefore_o i_o shall_v speak_v to_o that_o also_o that_o be_v whether_o thou_o have_v feel_v the_o power_n of_o the_o gospel_n as_o well_o as_o something_o of_o the_o power_n of_o the_o law_n 2._o then_o if_o thou_o have_v find_v the_o power_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o so_o believe_v it_o thou_o have_v find_v it_o thus_o with_o thy_o soul_n 1._o thou_o have_v be_v show_v by_o the_o word_n or_o truth_n of_o the_o gospel_n in_o the_o light_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n that_o by_o nature_n thou_o be_v without_o the_o true_a faith_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n in_o thy_o soul_n for_o when_o he_o the_o spirit_n be_v show_v and_o they_o that_o be_v under_o the_o law_n maybe_o convince_v by_o it_o and_o so_o believe_v the_o law_n or_o first_o covenant_n and_o yet_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n to_o be_v a_o stranger_n to_o the_o covenant_n of_o promise_n that_o be_v the_o gospel_n &_o so_o have_v no_o hope_n in_o they_o eph._n 2.12_o there_o be_v not_o any_o promise_n that_o can_v be_v save_o believe_v until_o the_o soul_n be_v by_o the_o gospel_n convert_v to_o jesus_n christ_n for_o though_o man_n do_v think_v never_o so_o much_o that_o they_o believe_v the_o thing_n of_o the_o gospel_n or_o the_o word_n of_o the_o gospel_n of_o our_o salvation_n yet_o unless_o they_o have_v the_o work_n of_o grace_n in_o their_o soul_n they_o do_v not_o can_v right_o believe_v the_o thing_n contain_v in_o the_o good_a thing_n in_o thy_o life_n time_n to_o have_v thy_o heaven_n to_o last_v no_o long_o than_o while_o thou_o do_v live_v in_o this_o world_n will_v thou_o be_v willing_a to_o be_v deprive_v of_o eternal_a happiness_n and_o felicity_n if_o you_o say_v no_o then_o have_v a_o care_n of_o the_o world_n and_o thy_o sin_n have_v a_o care_n of_o desire_v to_o be_v a_o rich_a man_n lest_o thy_o table_n be_v make_v a_o snare_n unto_o thou_o lest_o the_o wealth_n in_o this_o world_n do_v bar_v thou_o out_o of_o glory_n for_o as_o the_o apostle_n say_v they_o that_o wâ—ll_n be_v rich_a do_v the_o poor_a sort_n but_o god_n have_v choose_v the_o poor_a despise_a and_o base_a thing_n of_o this_o world_n 1_o cor._n 1.26_o shall_v god_n have_v set_v the_o â—ich_a man_n in_o the_o blessed_a state_n his_o child_n will_v have_v conclude_v be_v poor_a that_o they_o have_v no_o share_n in_o the_o life_n to_o come_v and_o again_o have_v not_o god_n give_v such_o a_o discovery_n of_o the_o sad_a condition_n of_o those_o that_o be_v for_o the_o most_o part_n rich_a man_n we_o shall_v have_v have_v man_n conclude_v absolute_o that_o the_o rich_a be_v the_o bless_a man_n nay_o albeit_o the_o lord_n himself_o do_v so_o evident_o declare_v that_o the_o rich_a one_o of_o the_o world_n be_v for_o the_o most_o part_n in_o the_o sad_a condition_n yet_o they_o through_o unbelief_n or_o else_o presumption_n do_v harden_v themselves_o and_o seek_v for_o the_o glory_n of_o this_o world_n as_o though_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n do_v not_o mean_a as_o he_o say_v or_o else_o that_o he_o will_v say_v more_o than_o shall_v assure_o come_v to_o pass_v but_o let_v they_o know_v that_o the_o lord_n have_v a_o time_n to_o fulfil_v that_o he_o have_v a_o time_n to_o declare_v for_o the_o scripture_n can_v be_v break_v but_o again_o the_o lord_n by_o this_o word_n do_v not_o mean_v those_o be_v ungodly_a who_o aâ—e_v rich_a in_o the_o world_n and_o no_o other_o for_o than_o must_v all_o those_o that_o be_v poor_a yet_o graceless_a and_o vain_a man_n be_v save_v and_o deliver_v from_o eternal_a vengeance_n which_o w_n uld_v be_v contrary_a to_o the_o word_n of_o god_n which_o say_v that_o together_o with_o the_o king_n of_o the_o earth_n and_o the_o great_a man_n and_o the_o chief_a captain_n and_o the_o mighty_a man_n there_o be_v bondman_n or_o servant_n and_o sense_n though_o not_o so_o natural_o gather_v from_o this_o scripture_n 2._o that_o he_o be_v lay_v at_o his_o gate_n full_a of_o sore_n these_o word_n hold_v forth_o the_o distemper_n of_o believer_n say_v he_o be_v full_a of_o sore_n which_o may_v signify_v the_o many_o trouble_n temptation_n persecution_n and_o affliction_n in_o body_n and_o spirit_n which_o they_o meet_v withal_o while_o they_o be_v in_o the_o world_n but_o also_o the_o entertainment_n they_o find_v at_o the_o hand_n of_o those_o ungodly_a one_o who_o live_v upon_o the_o earth_n whereas_o it_o be_v say_v he_o be_v lay_v at_o his_o gate_n full_a of_o sore_n mark_v he_o be_v lay_v at_o his_o gate_n not_o in_o his_o house_n that_o be_v think_v too_o good_a for_o he_o but_o he_o be_v lay_v at_o his_o gate_n saint_n of_o god_n may_v starve_v for_o hunger_n they_o will_v build_v house_n for_o their_o dog_n when_o the_o saint_n must_v be_v glad_a to_o wander_v and_o lodge_v in_o den_n and_o cave_n of_o the_o earth_n and_o if_o they_o be_v in_o any_o of_o their_o house_n for_o the_o hire_n thereof_o they_o will_v warn_v they_o out_o or_o eject_v they_o or_o pull_v down_o the_o house_n over_o their_o head_n rather_o than_o not_o rid_v themselves_o of_o such_o tenant_n again_o some_o man_n can_v go_v half_a a_o mile_n from_o home_n but_o they_o must_v have_v their_o dog_n at_o their_o heel_n but_o they_o can_v very_o willing_o go_v half_a a_o score_n mile_n without_o the_o society_n of_o a_o christian_a nay_o if_o when_o they_o be_v busy_a with_o their_o dog_n they_o shall_v chance_v to_o meet_v a_o christian_n they_o will_v willing_o shift_v he_o if_o they_o can_v they_o will_v go_v on_o the_o other_o side_n of_o the_o hedge_n or_o the_o way_n rather_o than_o they_o will_v have_v any_o society_n with_o he_o and_o if_o at_o any_o time_n a_o child_n of_o god_n shall_v come_v into_o a_o house_n where_o there_o be_v but_o two_o or_o three_o ungodly_a wretch_n they_o do_v common_o wish_v either_o themselves_o or_o the_o saint_n out_o of_o door_n and_o why_o so_o because_o they_o can_v down_v with_o the_o society_n of_o a_o christian_a though_o if_o there_o come_v in_o at_o love_v and_o friendly_a society_n with_o the_o saint_n of_o god_n moreover_o the_o dog_n come_v and_o lick_v his_o sore_n here_o again_o you_o may_v see_v not_o only_o the_o afflict_a state_n of_o the_o saint_n of_o god_n in_o this_o world_n but_o also_o that_o even_o dog_n themselves_o according_a to_o their_o kind_n be_v more_o favourable_a to_o the_o saint_n than_o the_o sinful_a world_n though_o the_o ungodly_a will_v have_v no_o mercy_n on_o the_o saint_n yet_o it_o be_v order_v so_o that_o these_o creature_n dog_n lion_n etc._n etc._n will_n though_o the_o rich_a man_n will_v not_o mutter_v over_o some_o form_n of_o prayer_n though_o they_o know_v not_o what_o they_o say_v nor_o what_o they_o request_v yet_o god_n be_v satisfy_v yea_o very_o well_o satisfy_v with_o their_o do_n when_o alas_o there_o be_v nothing_o less_o o_o friend_n i_o beseech_v you_o to_o look_v about_o you_o and_o seek_v in_o good_a earnest_n for_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n so_o to_o help_v you_o
