he_o have_v habit_n and_o quality_n but_o he_o want_v power_n to_o use_v they_o or_o as_o a_o man_n that_o have_v a_o instrument_n that_o will_v sound_v well_o but_o he_o want_v skill_n to_o use_v it_o so_o many_o man_n they_o have_v habit_n and_o quality_n but_o because_o they_o want_v power_n to_o use_v they_o therefore_o they_o be_v not_o strengthen_v in_o the_o inward_a man_n but_o he_o that_o have_v the_o spirit_n have_v withal_o power_n to_o use_v those_o habit_n to_o good_a therefore_o it_o be_v say_v that_o they_o speak_v as_o the_o spirit_n give_v they_o utterance_n that_o be_v they_o have_v power_n from_o the_o spirit_n to_o speak_v to_o do_v to_o use_v those_o habit_n which_o be_v in_o they_o thus_o samson_n by_o the_o power_n of_o the_o spirit_n have_v power_n to_o use_v zeal_n what_o spiritual_a heat_n be_v there_o in_o we_o where_o be_v these_o man_n that_o at_o such_o a_o time_n will_v have_v be_v hot_a and_o zealous_a nay_o where_o be_v the_o generation_n of_o these_o man_n sure_o they_o be_v all_o go_v for_o there_o be_v no_o heat_n and_o zeal_n leave_v it_o be_v true_a we_o abound_v in_o knowledge_n we_o have_v the_o same_o knowledge_n that_o they_o have_v but_o we_o want_v their_o zeal_n and_o spirit_n and_o we_o have_v the_o same_o gift_n but_o we_o want_v their_o spirit_n but_o let_v we_o now_o at_o length_n show_v ourselves_o to_o be_v in_o the_o spirit_n to_o have_v the_o spirit_n in_o we_o by_o our_o zeal_n against_o evil_n but_o you_o will_v say_v that_o many_o holy_a man_n that_o have_v 1._o the_o spirit_n yet_o be_v not_o so_o hot_a and_o zealous_a against_o evil_n but_o be_v marvellous_a mild_a and_o patient_a therefore_o a_o man_n may_v have_v the_o spirit_n and_o yet_o not_o be_v zealous_a first_o to_o this_o i_o answer_v of_o the_o spiritual_a building_n humility_n and_o then_o after_o to_o rear_v the_o build_n of_o grace_n in_o the_o soul_n as_o for_o example_n if_o you_o will_v know_v whether_o the_o plant_n receive_v virtue_n from_o the_o olive_n or_o no_o than_o you_o must_v know_v that_o first_o they_o must_v be_v cut_v off_o and_o then_o they_o must_v be_v ingraft_v in_o and_o then_o see_v whether_o they_o have_v the_o fatness_n of_o the_o olive_n and_o then_o whether_o they_o bear_v the_o olive_n leave_v so_o a_o man_n that_o have_v not_o receive_v the_o spirit_n by_o the_o word_n he_o shall_v see_v it_o by_o the_o ripeness_n of_o sin_n the_o corrupt_a branch_n the_o bitter_a fruit_n that_o come_v and_o be_v bring_v forth_o by_o he_o but_o on_o the_o contrary_a if_o the_o word_n by_o the_o not_o true_o or_o thorough_o and_o so_o not_o at_o all_o for_o what_o will_v it_o avail_v herod_n to_o forsake_v some_o sin_n and_o like_o john_n 20._o well_o in_o some_o thing_n if_o he_o will_v not_o forsake_v all_o and_o like_o john_n in_o the_o reproof_n of_o all_o in_o like_a manner_n what_o if_o you_o change_v your_o opinion_n of_o some_o sin_n what_o if_o you_o esteem_v some_o sin_n to_o be_v sin_n indeed_o if_o you_o have_v not_o the_o like_a opinion_n of_o all_o whatsoever_o you_o think_v of_o yourselves_o as_o yet_o you_o never_o have_v the_o spirit_n therefore_o if_o you_o when_o the_o judgement_n be_v rectify_v than_o he_o know_v sin_n to_o be_v the_o great_a evil_n again_o a_o man_n will_v not_o sorrow_n till_o he_o have_v a_o fit_a object_n for_o sorrow_n as_o a_o blind_a man_n can_v see_v any_o object_n so_o a_o natural_a man_n be_v a_o blind_a man_n and_o he_o must_v have_v new_a eye_n sight_n before_o he_o can_v see_v sin_n to_o sorrow_n for_o it_o as_o sin_n and_o this_o be_v the_o rectify_v of_o the_o judgement_n but_o when_o the_o judgement_n be_v rectify_v than_o it_o will_v sorrow_n for_o sin_n and_o that_o in_o these_o respect_n first_o because_o sin_n be_v of_o its_o own_o nature_n evil_a because_o it_o be_v contrary_a unto_o the_o nature_n of_o good_a and_o 1._o of_o its_o own_o nature_n be_v a_o enemy_n unto_o god_n the_o philosopher_n say_v if_o god_n be_v the_o chief_a good_a than_o sin_n be_v the_o chief_a evil_n from_o whence_o we_o may_v thus_o argue_v that_o which_o be_v most_o contrary_a to_o god_n be_v the_o great_a evil_n but_o sin_n be_v most_o contrary_a unto_o god_n therefore_o it_o be_v the_o great_a evil_n and_o the_o reason_n be_v because_o sin_n be_v that_o which_o make_v the_o creature_n most_o odious_a unto_o god_n no_o creature_n or_o thing_n so_o contrary_a unto_o the_o nature_n of_o man_n as_o sin_n be_v unto_o god_n nothing_o make_v god_n to_o

at_o last_o humble_v we_o for_o our_o nature_n be_v like_o the_o fire_n if_o matter_n be_v not_o upply_v unto_o it_o it_o will_v go_v out_o so_o if_o we_o keep_v not_o a_o sense_n of_o sin_n humiliation_n and_o sorrow_n in_o our_o heart_n it_o will_v die_v therefore_o you_o must_v take_v pain_n with_o your_o heart_n and_o set_v sin_n still_o before_o you_o david_n sin_n be_v ever_o before_o he_o and_o paul_n be_v ever_o humble_a in_o remember_v his_o sin_n therefore_o let_v this_o humiliation_n and_o godly_a sorrow_n be_v in_o you_o not_o like_o a_o land_n flood_n but_o like_o humiliation_n according_a unto_o your_o sin_n if_o your_o sin_n have_v be_v great_a sin_n than_o your_o humiliation_n must_v be_v a_o deep_a humiliation_n this_o we_o see_v in_o manasses_n as_o his_o sin_n be_v exceed_v great_a so_o his_o humiliation_n be_v exceed_v great_a it_o wrought_v in_o he_o a_o great_a measure_n of_o humiliation_n and_o so_o peter_n sin_n be_v great_a and_o his_o humiliation_n be_v great_a for_o as_o the_o sin_n be_v great_a or_o lesser_a so_o the_o humiliation_n shall_v be_v great_a or_o lesser_a because_o the_o great_a the_o sin_n be_v the_o great_a shall_v be_v the_o judgement_n for_o they_o and_o therefore_o when_o you_o can_v pass_v over_o your_o sin_n as_o little_a sin_n it_o be_v a_o sign_n that_o you_o be_v not_o humble_v for_o if_o you_o be_v fasten_v his_o understanding_n and_o mind_n upon_o sin_n he_o will_v at_o last_o see_v it_o to_o humble_v he_o and_o this_o do_v david_n in_o the_o sin_n of_o vriah_n he_o bring_v his_o sin_n unto_o offer_v up_o sacrifice_n for_o the_o people_n in_o all_o humility_n so_o christ_n in_o the_o gospel_n on_o the_o cross_n with_o a_o break_a and_o a_o contrite_a spirit_n offer_v a_o sacrifice_n for_o all_o his_o child_n and_o make_v they_o acceptable_a unto_o god_n yet_o except_o the_o heart_n be_v humble_a he_o will_v not_o accept_v of_o a_o sinner_n ii_o reason_n the_o second_o reason_n be_v add_v in_o isaiah_n 66._o 2._o he_o will_v dwell_v in_o a_o break_a and_o a_o contrite_a spirit_n 2._o a_o humble_a soul_n be_v a_o fit_a habitation_n for_o the_o spirit_n now_o the_o spirit_n dwell_v he_o do_v not_o esteem_v he_o as_o a_o friend_n that_o be_v unstable_a because_o he_o know_v not_o how_o to_o depend_v upon_o he_o he_o stand_v now_o with_o he_o but_o whether_o he_o will_v when_o he_o shall_v need_v whether_o he_o will_v hold_v close_o to_o he_o or_o no_o he_o know_v not_o and_o therefore_o the_o apostle_n say_v that_o the_o unstable_a heart_n shall_v receive_v nothing_o of_o god_n james_n 1._o 7_o 8._o god_n will_v not_o accept_v 8._o of_o any_o thing_n that_o he_o do_v thus_o you_o see_v all_o be_v lose_v labour_n till_o you_o be_v humble_v man_n be_v unwilling_a to_o loose_v their_o labour_n in_o any_o thing_n but_o much_o more_o in_o this_o if_o they_o have_v heart_n to_o believe_v it_o the_o second_o motive_n be_v this_o because_o whatsoever_o profession_n a_o man_n make_v in_o religion_n it_o be_v nothing_o motive_n worth_a till_o a_o man_n be_v humble_a for_o what_o be_v the_o reason_n that_o man_n do_v not_o hold_v out_o in_o their_o profession_n but_o fall_n away_o and_o loose_v their_o first_o love_n but_o because_o they_o be_v not_o thorough_o humble_v for_o pride_n of_o heart_n
