in_o some_o thing_n excel_v the_o child_n of_o god_n theol._n most_o certain_a it_o be_v that_o some_o of_o they_o in_o outward_a gift_n and_o the_o outward_a carriage_n of_o themselves_o do_v go_v beyond_o some_o of_o the_o elect_a phil._n show_v i_o i_o pray_v you_o in_o what_o gift_n theol._n in_o learning_n discretion_n justice_n temperance_n prudence_n patience_n liberality_n assability_n kindness_n courtesy_n good_a nature_n etc._n etc._n phil._n i_o think_v it_o shall_v not_o be_v possible_a theol._n yes_o true_o for_o some_o of_o god_n dear_a child_n in_o who_o no_o doubt_n the_o inward_a work_n be_v true_o and_o sound_o wrought_v yet_o be_v so_o trouble_v and_o encumber_v with_o a_o crabbed_a &_o crooked_a nature_n and_o so_o clog_v with_o some_o master_n sin_n as_o some_o with_o anger_n some_o with_o pride_n some_o with_o covetousness_n some_o with_o lust_n some_o one_o way_n and_o some_o another_o all_o which_o break_v out_o in_o they_o do_v so_o blemish_v they_o and_o their_o profession_n that_o they_o can_v so_o shine_v forth_o unto_o man_n as_o otherwise_o no_o doubt_n they_o will_v and_o this_o be_v their_o wound_n their_o grief_n and_o their_o heart-smart_n and_o that_o which_o co_v they_o many_o a_o tear_n and_o many_o a_o prayer_n and_o yet_o can_v they_o not_o get_v the_o fu_n l_o victory_n over_o they_o but_o still_o they_o be_v less_o in_o they_o as_o a_o prick_n in_o the_o flesh_n to_o humble_v they_o ph._n yet_o love_n shall_v cover_v a_o multitude_n of_o such_o infirmity_n in_o god_n child_n theol._n it_o shall_v do_v so_o indeed_o but_o there_o be_v great_a want_n of_o love_n even_o in_o the_o best_a and_o the_o worst_a sort_n espy_v these_o infirmity_n in_o the_o godly_a run_v upon_o they_o with_o open_a mouth_n and_o you_o not_o think_v that_o there_o be_v some_o counterfeit_v even_o among_o the_o great_a professor_n theol._n yes_o no_o doubt_n there_o be_v &_o always_o have_v be_v some_o very_a hypocrite_n in_o the_o church_n but_o we_o most_o take_v heed_n of_o judge_v &_o condemn_v all_o for_o some_o for_o it_o be_v very_o much_o to_o condemn_v christ_n and_o his_o eleven_o disciple_n because_o of_o one_o judas_n or_o the_o whole_a primitive_a church_n for_o one_o ananias_n and_o sapphira_n phil._n but_o i_o hope_v you_o be_v of_o this_o mind_n that_o some_o regenerate_a man_n even_o in_o outward_a gift_n and_o their_o outward_a carriage_n be_v comparable_a with_o many_o other_o theol._n questionless_a very_o many_o for_o they_o be_v guide_v by_o god_n spirit_n and_o uphold_v by_o his_o grace_n do_v walk_v very_o upright_o and_o unblamable_o towards_o man_n phil._n yet_o there_o rest_v one_o scruple_n for_o it_o seem_v very_o strange_a unto_o i_o that_o man_n of_o so_o discreet_a carriage_n as_o you_o speak_v of_o and_o of_o so_o many_o good_a part_n shall_v not_o be_v save_v it_o be_v great_a pity_n such_o man_n shall_v be_v damn_v theol._n it_o seem_v so_o unto_o we_o indeed_o but_o god_n be_v only_o wise_a and_o you_o must_v note_v that_o as_o there_o be_v some_o infirmity_n in_o god_n child_n which_o he_o correct_v with_o temporal_a chastisement_n and_o yet_o reward_v their_o reward_v with_o temporal_a blessing_n and_o yet_o punish_v they_o eternal_o for_o their_o unbelief_n and_o hardness_n of_o heart_n phil._n now_o you_o have_v reasonable_o well_o satisfy_v i_o touch_v the_o doctrine_n of_o regeneration_n and_o the_o manifold_a error_n
lose_a labour_n to_o speak_v against_o it_o preach_v against_o it_o or_o write_v against_o it_o it_o be_v but_o even_o to_o plough_v the_o sea_n or_o knock_v at_o a_o deaf_a man_n door_n for_o there_o be_v some_o other_o which_o be_v well_o dispose_v and_o will_v no_o doubt_n make_v some_o conscience_n to_o frame_v themselves_o according_a to_o the_o rule_n of_o god_n word_n theol._n well_o then_o for_o their_o sake_n which_o be_v well_o dispose_v i_o will_v set_v down_o some_o few_o direction_n saint_n paul_n in_o 1_o tim._n 2.9_o will_v that_o woman_n shall_v array_v themselves_o in_o comely_a apparel_n with_o shamefastness_n and_o modesty_n as_o become_v woman_n that_o profess_v the_o fear_n of_o god_n and_o not_o with_o broydered_a hair_n or_o gold_n or_o pearl_n or_o castly_a apparel_n the_o apostle_n saint_n peter_n give_v like_o rule_n also_o 3.3_o 1_o pet._n 3.3_o for_o he_o say_v speak_v of_o christian_a matron_n and_o professor_n of_o holy_a religion_n that_o their_o do_v this_o inward_a clothing_n special_o consist_v theol._n in_o four_o thing_n which_o be_v set_v down_o in_o the_o forenamed_a place_n to_o wit_n shamefacednesse_n modesty_n a_o quiet_a spirit_n and_o a_o meek_a spirit_n phil._n these_o be_v sine_z suit_n of_o apparel_n indeed_o i_o will_v all_o woman_n will_v put_v they_o on_o and_o never_o put_v they_o off_o but_o wear_v they_o continual_o herein_o the_o example_n of_o the_o most_o godly_a wise_a grave_a and_o modest_a man_n and_o woman_n be_v to_o be_v follow_v for_o who_o can_v better_v judge_n what_o be_v comely_a sober_a and_o modest_a than_o they_o phil._n but_o we_o see_v some_o even_o of_o the_o better_a sort_n in_o this_o matter_n be_v a_o little_a infect_v run_v out_o and_o go_v beyond_o their_o bound_n theol._n the_o courtier_n and_o like_o good_a gentleman_n and_o gentlewoman_n and_o they_o seem_v to_o say_v in_o their_o heart_n fie_o of_o this_o plainness_n we_o will_v no_o more_o of_o it_o we_o will_v not_o take_v it_o as_o we_o have_v do_v so_o that_o now_o the_o old_a proverb_n be_v verify_v every_o jack_n will_v be_v a_o gentleman_n and_o joan_n be_v as_o good_a as_o my_o lady_n for_o now_o we_o can_v
