judas_n or_o the_o whole_a primitive_a church_n for_o one_o ananias_n and_o sapphira_n phil._n but_o i_o hope_v you_o be_v of_o this_o mind_n that_o some_o regenerate_a man_n even_o in_o outward_a gift_n and_o their_o outward_a carriage_n be_v comparable_a with_o many_o other_o theol._n questionless_a very_o many_o for_o they_o be_v guide_v by_o god_n spirit_n and_o uphold_v by_o his_o grace_n do_v walk_v very_o upright_o and_o unblamable_o towards_o man_n phil._n yet_o there_o rest_v one_o scruple_n for_o it_o seem_v very_o strange_a unto_o i_o that_o man_n of_o so_o discreet_a carriage_n this_o life_n theol._n yea_o for_o the_o new_a creature_n or_o new_a work_n of_o grace_n can_v never_o be_v full_o fashion_v in_o this_o life_n but_o be_v always_o in_o fashion_v and_o as_o our_o flesh_n and_o the_o whole_a mind_n be_v spirit_n partly_o one_o and_o partly_o another_o the_o same_o be_v to_o be_v say_v of_o will_n and_o affection_n ph._n i_o pray_v you_o express_v it_o more_o plain_o theol._n even_o as_o the_o air_n in_o the_o dawn_n of_o the_o day_n be_v not_o whole_o light_a or_o whole_o dark_a as_o at_o midnight_n or_o at_o noonday_n neither_o be_v it_o in_o one_o kindness_n good_a nurture_n good_a nature_n and_o good_a education_n be_v regeneration_n and_o that_o courteous_a and_o good_a nature_a man_n must_v needs_o be_v save_v theol._n they_o be_v general_o deceive_v for_o these_o thing_n do_v not_o necessary_o accompany_v salvation_n but_o be_v to_o be_v find_v in_o such_o as_o be_v altogether_o profane_a and_o irreligious_a yet_o we_o be_v to_o love_v such_o good_a outward_a quality_n and_o the_o man_n in_o who_o we_o find_v they_o phil._n what_o say_v you_o then_o to_o learning_n wit_n and_o policy_n be_v not_o these_o thing_n of_o the_o essence_n do_v this_o inward_a clothing_n special_o consist_v theol._n in_o four_o thing_n which_o be_v set_v down_o in_o the_o forenamed_a place_n to_o wit_n shamefacednesse_n modesty_n a_o quiet_a spirit_n and_o a_o meek_a spirit_n phil._n these_o be_v sine_z suit_n of_o apparel_n indeed_o i_o will_v all_o woman_n will_v put_v they_o on_o and_o never_o put_v they_o off_o but_o wear_v they_o continual_o for_o they_o be_v the_o better_a for_o wear_v though_o all_o other_o apparel_n be_v the_o worse_o theol._n if_o woman_n will_v deck_v themselves_o inward_o with_o these_o aforesaid_a virtue_n they_o herein_o the_o example_n of_o the_o most_o godly_a wise_a grave_a and_o modest_a man_n and_o woman_n be_v to_o be_v follow_v for_o who_o can_v better_v judge_n what_o be_v comely_a sober_a and_o courtier_n and_o like_o good_a gentleman_n and_o gentlewoman_n and_o they_o seem_v to_o say_v in_o their_o heart_n fie_o of_o this_o plainness_n we_o will_v no_o more_o of_o it_o we_o will_v not_o take_v it_o as_o we_o have_v do_v so_o that_o now_o the_o old_a proverb_n be_v verify_v every_o jack_n will_v be_v a_o gentleman_n and_o joan_n be_v as_o good_a as_o my_o lady_n for_o now_o we_o can_v by_o their_o apparel_n discern_v the_o maid_n from_o the_o mistress_n nor_o the_o wait_a gentlewoman_n from_o her_o lady_n and_o thus_o we_o see_v in_o this_o matter_n of_o apparel_n how_o all_o be_v out_o of_o joint_n phil._n be_v there_o any_o more_o to_o be_v say_v in_o this_o case_n 14._o 14._o theol._n there_o be_v yet_o another_o thing_n to_o be_v respect_v in_o this_o matter_n of_o attire_n phil._n what_o be_v that_o theol._n that_o it_o be_v according_a to_o man_n ability_n for_o it_o be_v lamentable_a to_o consider_v how_o poor_a man_n and_o woman_n poor_a hire_a servant_n milkmaid_n manner_n they_o ruile_a and_o slander_n seoffe_n and_o scorn_n mock_v and_o mow_v at_o they_o as_o though_o they_o be_v not_o worthy_a to_o live_v upon_o the_o earth_n they_o esteem_v every_o pelt_a rascal_n and_o prefer_v every_o vile_a varlet_n before_o they_o and_o though_o they_o have_v their_o life_n and_o liberty_n their_o breath_n and_o safety_n and_o all_o that_o they_o have_v else_o by_o they_o yet_o for_o all_o that_o they_o can_v be_v content_a to_o eat_v their_o heart_n with_o garlic_n so_o great_a so_o fiery_a so_o burn_v and_o hiss_v hot_a be_v their_o fury_n and_o malice_n against_o they_o theol._n they_o may_v very_o fit_o be_v compare_v to_o a_o moth_n that_o fret_v in_o piece_n the_o same_o cloth_n wherein_o she_o be_v breed_v or_o to_o a_o certain_a worm_n or_o child_n and_o all_o that_o we_o have_v but_o only_o the_o righteous_a which_o be_v so_o near_o about_o the_o king_n and_o in_o so_o high_a favour_n do_v step_n in_o and_o earnest_o entreat_v for_o we_o that_o the_o forfeiture_n may_v be_v release_v and_o that_o we_o may_v have_v lease_n in_o parley_n of_o they_o all_o again_o or_o at_o least_o a_o grant_n of_o further_a time_n but_o i_o pray_v you_o sir_n be_v not_o we_o to_o attribute_v something_o concern_v our_o good_a estate_n to_o the_o policy_n of_o the_o land_n the_o law_n establish_v and_o the_o wisdom_n and_o counsel_n of_o our_o and_o what_o in_o sound_a wisdom_n be_v to_o be_v do_v both_o to_o prevent_v future_a danger_n and_o to_o continue_v god_n favour_n and_o mercy_n still_o upon_o we_o theol._n the_o best_a and_o sure_a course_n that_o i_o can_v consider_v or_o conceive_v of_o be_v to_o repent_v hearty_o for_o sin_n past_a and_o to_o reform_v our_o life_n in_o time_n to_o come_v to_o seek_v the_o lord_n while_o he_o may_v be_v find_v and_o to_o call_v upon_o he_o while_o he_o be_v near_o to_o forsake_v our_o own_o way_n and_o our_o own_o imagination_n and_o to_o turn_v unto_o he_o with_o all_o our_o heart_n with_o weep_v with_o fast_v and_o with_o mourning_n as_o the_o prophet_n joel_n chap._n â—_o advise_v for_o our_o god_n be_v gracious_a and_o merciful_a slow_a to_o anger_n and_o of_o great_a
