only_o spiritual_a thing_n but_o also_o corporal_a benefit_n be_v god_n free_a gift_n and_o come_v not_o for_o our_o worthiness_n or_o travel_n take_v about_o the_o same_o although_o our_o travel_n be_v oftentimes_o mean_n by_o the_o which_o god_n do_v give_v corporal_a thing_n by_o daily_o we_o understand_v the_o content_a mind_n of_o thy_o child_n daily_n with_o that_o which_o be_v sufficient_a for_o the_o present_a time_n as_o have_v hope_n in_o thou_o that_o they_o shall_v not_o want_v but_o daily_o shall_v receive_v at_o thy_o hand_n plenty_n and_o enough_o of_o all_o thing_n by_o this_o word_n our_o be_v as_o well_o understand_v public_a benefit_n our_o as_o peace_n in_o the_o common_a weal_n good_a magistrate_n good_a law_n seasonable_a weather_n etc_n etc_n also_o particular_a benefit_n namely_o child_n health_n success_n in_o the_o work_n of_o our_o vocation_n etc_n etc_n and_o beside_o this_o by_o it_o we_o shall_v see_v the_o care_n even_o for_o corporal_a thing_n which_o thy_o child_n have_v for_o other_o as_o well_o as_o for_o themselves_o so_o that_o here_o i_o may_v learn_v how_o far_o i_o be_o from_o that_o i_o shall_v be_v and_o that_o i_o see_v thy_o child_n be_v come_v unto_o i_o see_v my_o ignorance_n also_o how_o that_o as_o spiritual_a thing_n do_v come_v from_o thou_o so_o do_v temporal_a thing_n and_o as_o they_o come_v from_o thou_o so_o be_v they_o conserve_v and_o keep_v of_o thou_o and_o therefore_o thy_o child_n be_v thankful_a &_o look_v for_o they_o as_o thy_o mere_a gift_n notwithstanding_o the_o mean_n which_o they_o thy_o protection_n oh_o father_n my_o house_n and_o all_o that_o thou_o have_v give_v i_o my_o whole_a family_n my_o wife_n and_o child_n aid_v i_o that_o i_o may_v well_o &_o holy_o govern_v nourish_v and_o bring_v they_o up_o in_o thy_o fear_n and_o service_n and_o forasmuch_o as_o in_o this_o world_n i_o must_v always_o be_v at_o war_n not_o with_o one_o sort_n of_o enemy_n but_o with_o a_o infinite_a number_n not_o only_o with_o flesh_n and_o blood_n but_o with_o the_o devil_n which_o be_v the_o prince_n of_o darkness_n grant_v i_o thy_o grace_n that_o be_v arm_v with_o thy_o defence_n i_o may_v stand_v in_o this_o battle_n with_o a_o invincible_a constancy_n against_o all_o corruption_n which_o i_o be_o encompass_v with_o on_o all_o side_n until_o such_o time_n as_o i_o have_v end_v the_o combat_n which_o during_o this_o life_n i_o must_v sustain_v in_o the_o end_n i_o may_v attain_v to_o thy_o heavenly_a rest_n which_o be_v prepare_v for_o i_o through_o christ_n my_o lord_n and_o saviour_n amen_n a_o prayer_n take_v out_o of_o the_o first_o psalm_n almighty_a and_o most_o gracious_a god_n take_v away_o from_o we_o all_o evil_a counsel_n and_o then_o our_o sin_n suffer_v we_o not_o to_o run_v into_o a_o ungodly_a and_o wicked_a life_n and_o final_o keep_v our_o mind_n far_o from_o the_o contempt_n of_o godliness_n and_o scorn_v of_o virtue_n and_o in_o the_o stead_n of_o these_o evil_n grant_v that_o we_o may_v continual_o be_v occupy_v in_o thy_o law_n and_o sacred_a scripture_n that_o we_o be_v not_o carry_v about_o like_o the_o wicked_a as_o light_a dust_n and_o fruitless_a chaff_n with_o every_o blast_n of_o affection_n and_o doctrine_n but_o rather_o that_o we_o as_o tree_n plant_v by_o the_o water_n brook_n endue_v with_o the_o life_n of_o thy_o spirit_n and_o faith_n may_v also_o bring_v forth_o the_o fruit_n of_o good_a work_n and_o that_o what_o so_o ever_o we_o take_v in_o hand_n may_v prosper_v and_o tend_v to_o the_o praise_n and_o glory_n of_o thy_o name_n and_o furtherance_n of_o our_o salvation_n and_o at_o the_o last_o when_o the_o wicked_a shall_v fall_v away_o in_o thy_o judgement_n â–ª_o we_o may_v stand_v steadfast_a and_o be_v make_v perfect_a through_o jesus_n christ_n our_o lord_n amen_o out_o of_o the_o same_o psalm_n almighty_a god_n we_o be_v sufficient_o teach_v that_o grievous_a calamity_n and_o miserable_a plague_n do_v therefore_o daily_o vex_v and_o trouble_v thy_o church_n because_o we_o have_v not_o cease_v to_o follow_v the_o counsel_n of_o the_o ungodly_a which_o be_v once_o thy_o commandment_n we_o have_v also_o of_o long_a time_n contemn_v all_o godly_a correction_n and_o discipline_n and_o whatsoever_o have_v be_v teach_v we_o out_o of_o thy_o word_n have_v be_v too_o little_o regard_v â–ª_o yea_o without_o all_o shame_n neglect_v and_o scorn_v wherefore_o it_o be_v no_o marvel_n if_o we_o in_o the_o steed_n of_o that_o happiness_n and_o quiet_a peace_n which_o we_o alas_o have_v too_o long_o abuse_v be_v now_o compel_v to_o suffer_v all_o heavy_a grievous_a and_o most_o bitter_a plague_n but_o now_o oh_o god_n in_o humbleness_n of_o heart_n we_o flee_v unto_o thou_o confess_v our_o grievous_a offence_n and_o we_o most_o humble_o and_o hearty_o beseech_v thou_o that_o those_o evil_n which_o we_o so_o foolish_o and_o wretched_o have_v commit_v thou_o will_v merciful_o forgive_v we_o and_o frame_v our_o mind_n whole_o to_o the_o obedience_n of_o thy_o law_n in_o such_o wise_a that_o our_o heart_n may_v be_v occupy_v both_o day_n and_o night_n in_o to_o leaf_n and_o chaff_n with_o the_o wind_n of_o adversity_n and_o affliction_n yet_o grant_v oh_o most_o merciful_a father_n that_o our_o life_n perish_v not_o with_o the_o wicked_a but_o that_o that_o a_o great_a part_n of_o our_o felicity_n so_o long_o as_o we_o live_v here_o consist_v in_o this_o that_o we_o refrain_v from_o ungodly_a counsel_n and_o wicked_a manner_n and_o also_o avoid_v the_o company_n of_o those_o that_o despise_v and_o deride_v all_o good_a thing_n and_o that_o in_o the_o stead_n of_o these_o evil_n we_o give_v ourselves_o to_o the_o heavenly_a study_n of_o thy_o holy_a law_n to_o be_v occupy_v and_o exercise_v therein_o both_o day_n and_o night_n whereby_o we_o do_v perceive_v that_o we_o have_v very_o much_o err_v and_o stray_v from_o this_o way_n of_o our_o salvation_n yea_o we_o have_v in_o these_o thing_n most_o wicked_o offend_v therefore_o we_o beseech_v thou_o even_o for_o thy_o mercy_n sake_n that_o thou_o will_v pardon_v our_o offence_n and_o that_o henceforth_o by_o the_o continual_a study_n and_o exercise_v of_o thy_o word_n thou_o will_v vouchsafe_v to_o make_v we_o fruitful_a plant_n that_o we_o may_v not_o only_o bring_v forth_o wholesome_a fruit_n in_o thy_o church_n while_o we_o live_v here_o but_o also_o may_v be_v able_a in_o the_o other_o world_n to_o stand_v in_o judgement_n before_o thou_o who_o best_o know_v the_o some_o taste_n &_o feeling_n of_o it_o in_o our_o heart_n through_o the_o merit_n of_o our_o lord_n and_o saviour_n jesus_n christ._n so_o be_v it_o for_o the_o true_a knowledge_n of_o god_n and_o his_o word_n and_o a_o life_n agreeable_a to_o the_o same_o grant_v unto_o we_o oh_o merciful_a god_n we_o most_o hearty_o beseech_v thou_o knowledge_n and_o true_a understanding_n of_o thy_o bless_a will_n and_o word_n that_o all_o ignorance_n be_v expel_v we_o may_v know_v what_o thy_o will_n and_o pleasure_n be_v in_o all_o thing_n and_o how_o to_o do_v our_o duty_n and_o true_o to_o walk_v
