our_o sin_n and_o make_v we_o clean_o from_o all_o wickedness_n i_o do_v not_o say_v but_o that_o if_o any_o do_v find_v themselves_o trouble_v in_o conscience_n they_o may_v repair_v to_o their_o learned_a curate_n or_o pastor_n or_o to_o some_o other_o godly_a learned_a man_n and_o show_v the_o trouble_n &_o doubt_v of_o their_o conscience_n to_o they_o that_o they_o may_v receive_v at_o their_o hand_n the_o comfortable_a salve_n of_o god_n word_n but_o it_o be_v against_o the_o true_a christian_a liberty_n that_o any_o man_n shall_v be_v bind_v to_o the_o number_n of_o his_o sin_n as_o it_o have_v be_v use_v heretofore_o in_o the_o time_n of_o blindness_n and_o ignorance_n the_o three_o part_n of_o repentance_n be_v faith_n whereby_o we_o do_v apprehend_v and_o take_v hold_v upon_o the_o promise_n of_o god_n touch_v the_o free_a pardon_n and_o forgiveness_n of_o our_o sin_n which_o promise_n be_v seal_v up_o unto_o we_o with_o the_o death_n and_o bloodshedding_n of_o his_o son_n jesus_n christ_n for_o what_o shall_v avail_v and_o profit_v we_o to_o be_v sorry_a for_o our_o sin_n to_o lament_v and_o bewail_v that_o we_o have_v offend_v our_o most_o bounteous_a and_o merciful_a father_n or_o to_o confess_v and_o acknowledge_v our_o offence_n and_o trespass_n though_o it_o be_v do_v never_o so_o earnest_o unless_o we_o do_v steadfast_o believe_v and_o be_v full_o persuade_v that_o god_n for_o his_o son_n jesus_n christ_n sake_n will_v forgive_v we_o all_o our_o sin_n and_o put_v they_o out_o of_o remembrance_n and_o from_o his_o sight_n therefore_o they_o that_o teach_v repentance_n without_o a_o lively_a faith_n in_o our_o saviour_n jesus_n christ_n do_v teach_v none_o other_o but_o judas_n repentance_n as_o all_o the_o man_n school_n man_n foremost_a we_o read_v in_o the_o gospel_n that_o judas_n be_v so_o sorrowful_a and_o heavy_a yea_o that_o he_o be_v fill_v with_o such_o 27._o anguish_n and_o vexation_n of_o mind_n for_o that_o grievous_a offence_n in_o deny_v of_o his_o master_n repentance_n we_o find_v that_o he_o go_v out_o and_o weep_v bitter_o whereof_o ambrose_n speak_v on_o this_o manner_n peter_n be_v sorry_a and_o weep_v because_o he_o err_v as_o a_o petru_v man_n i_o do_v not_o find_v what_o he_o say_v i_o know_v that_o he_o weep_v i_o read_v of_o his_o tear_n but_o not_o of_o his_o satisfaction_n but_o how_o plain_n then_o that_o although_o we_o be_v never_o so_o earnest_o sorry_a for_o our_o sin_n acknowledge_v and_o confess_v they_o yet_o all_o these_o thing_n shall_v be_v but_o mean_n to_o bring_v we_o to_o utter_v desperation_n except_o we_o do_v steadfast_o believe_v that_o god_n our_o heavenly_a father_n will_v for_o his_o son_n jesus_n christ_n sake_n pardon_n and_o forgive_v we_o our_o offence_n and_o trespass_n and_o utter_o put_v they_o out_o of_o remembrance_n in_o his_o sight_n therefore_o as_o we_o say_v before_o they_o that_o teach_v repentance_n without_o christ_n and_o a_o lyvely_a faith_n in_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n do_v only_o teach_v cains_n or_o judas_n repentance_n the_o four_o be_v a_o amendment_n of_o life_n or_o a_o new_a life_n in_o bring_v forth_o fruit_n worthy_a of_o repentance_n for_o they_o that_o do_v true_o repent_v must_v be_v clean_o alter_v and_o change_v they_o must_v become_v new_a creature_n they_o must_v be_v no_o more_o the_o same_o for_o their_o offence_n will_v cast_v of_o all_o hypocrisy_n and_o put_v on_o true_a humility_n and_o lowliness_n of_o heart_n they_o will_v not_o only_o receive_v the_o physician_n of_o the_o soul_n but_o also_o with_o a_o most_o fervent_a desire_n long_o for_o he_o they_o will_v not_o only_o abstain_v from_o the_o sin_n of_o their_o former_a life_n and_o from_o all_o other_o filthy_a vice_n but_o also_o flee_v exchew_v and_o abhor_v all_o the_o occasion_n of_o they_o and_o as_o they_o do_v before_o geve_v themselves_o to_o uncleanness_n of_o life_n so_o will_v they_o from_o henceforwardes_o with_o all_o diligence_n geve_v themselves_o to_o innocence_n pureness_n of_o life_n and_o true_a godliness_n we_o have_v the_o ninivite_n for_o a_o example_n which_o at_o the_o preach_n of_o ionas_n do_v not_o only_o proclaim_v 3._o a_o general_a fast_o and_o that_o they_o shall_v every_o one_o put_v on_o sackcloth_n but_o they_o all_o do_v turn_v from_o their_o evil_a way_n and_o from_o the_o wickedness_n that_o be_v in_o their_o hand_n but_o above_o all_o other_o the_o 19_o history_n of_o zacheus_n be_v most_o notable_a for_o be_v come_v unto_o our_o saviour_n jesus_n
