their_o act_n legal_a so_o that_o there_o do_v plain_o appear_v something_o of_o grace_n and_o legality_n in_o the_o spirit_n and_o act_n of_o most_o of_o the_o old_a testament_n saint_n and_o yet_o notwithstanding_o though_o there_o be_v somewhat_o of_o legality_n in_o their_o spirit_n and_o act_n by_o virtue_n of_o their_o be_v under_o the_o old_a covenant_n yet_o be_v not_o their_o act_n natural_a light_n &_o natural_a conscience_n in_o a_o legal_a walk_n there_o the_o principle_n be_v fear_n and_o apprehension_n of_o wrath_n but_o now_o in_o a_o gospel-walk_a the_o principle_n be_v the_o spirit_n now_o by_o how_o much_o the_o principle_n be_v more_o excellent_a by_o so_o much_o the_o action_n duty_n the_o walk_n be_v more_o excellent_a as_o let_v a_o man_n have_v two_o servant_n one_o serve_v he_o out_o of_o love_n and_o from_o a_o principle_n of_o ingenuity_n because_o he_o have_v receive_v some_o favour_n from_o the_o hand_n of_o his_o master_n the_o other_o serve_v he_o for_o fear_n or_o in_o hope_n to_o receive_v somewhat_o from_o his_o master_n he_o do_v the_o most_o excellent_a service_n that_o serve_v he_o out_o of_o love_n and_o from_o ingenuity_n because_o the_o principle_n be_v most_o excellent_a whence_o that_o he_o do_v arise_v gospel_n obedience_n be_v excellent_a obedience_n there_o be_v a_o stamp_n of_o divine_a excellency_n upon_o that_o which_o be_v upon_o no_o other_o obedience_n in_o the_o world_n and_o the_o more_o any_o christian_n come_v to_o this_o to_o walk_v and_o to_o obey_v according_a to_o the_o gopel_n the_o more_o excellent_a christian_a he_o be_v a_o pure_a gospel-walking_a it_o be_v the_o high_a sublimest_n the_o most_o excellent_a walk_v on_o this_o side_n the_o walk_n of_o glorify_a saint_n in_o heaven_n which_o shall_v be_v a_o mighty_a encouragement_n to_o we_o all_o to_o press_v after_o this_o gospel-walk_a use_v 2._o this_o show_v we_o why_o there_o be_v such_o a_o mystery_n in_o gospel-walking_a that_o a_o mere_a natural_a man_n can_v conceive_v what_o manner_n of_o walk_v a_o gospel-walk_a be_v why_o because_o gospel-walking_a be_v a_o walk_n after_o the_o spirit_n the_o natural_a man_n say_v the_o apostle_n perceive_v not_o the_o thing_n of_o the_o spirit_n neither_o can_v he_o know_v they_o because_o they_o be_v spiritual_o discern_v though_o a_o natural_a man_n have_v knowledge_n and_o insight_n into_o the_o thing_n of_o nature_n and_o the_o thing_n of_o morality_n because_o these_o be_v within_o the_o sphere_n of_o his_o reason_n and_o natural_a understanding_n and_o also_o
into_o the_o thing_n of_o he_o gospel_n in_o a_o notional_a way_n as_o he_o take_v up_o these_o thing_n by_o relation_n of_o other_o and_o believe_v and_o give_v credit_n to_o those_o principle_n which_o from_o relation_n he_o have_v receive_v he_o be_v able_a by_o his_o part_n and_o reason_n and_o natural_a understanding_n to_o deduce_v and_o infer_v from_o these_o other_o principle_n and_o conclusion_n whereby_o in_o a_o notional_a way_n he_o may_v by_o mere_a part_n of_o nature_n attain_v to_o a_o competent_a measure_n of_o gospel-knowledge_n yet_o the_o thing_n of_o the_o gospel_n as_o they_o be_v the_o thing_n of_o the_o spirit_n i.e._n thing_n make_v out_o to_o he_o not_o by_o relation_n of_o other_o but_o by_o the_o inward_a revelation_n inspiration_n and_o teach_v of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n be_v mystery_n to_o he_o they_o be_v thing_n out_o of_o his_o sphere_n which_o his_o reason_n and_o natural_a understanding_n can_v reach_v and_o therefore_o he_o be_v blind_a in_o these_o thing_n a_o blind_a man_n we_o know_v can_v guess_v at_o thing_n when_o he_o have_v they_o declare_v to_o he_o by_o relation_n of_o other_o which_o have_v their_o sight_n and_o natural_a way_n do_v feel_v know_v or_o experiment_n in_o himself_o yea_o shall_v one_o natural_a man_n be_v able_a to_o pass_v a_o right_a judgement_n upon_o the_o action_n of_o a_o spiritual_a man_n yet_o can_v he_o not_o make_v other_o capable_a thereof_o because_o the_o judgement_n of_o spiritual_a thing_n be_v a_o thing_n alienate_v from_o their_o generation_n therefore_o say_v the_o apostle_n peter_n but_o peter_n come_v from_o the_o spirit_n and_o judasses_n not_o his_o be_v a_o gospel-act_n and_o not_o the_o other_o it_o be_v not_o the_o outward_a walk_n but_o the_o inward_a principle_n that_o make_v the_o difference_n of_o walk_v use_v 4._o then_o hence_o let_v we_o learn_v not_o to_o put_v too_o much_o in_o any_o outward_a form_n i_o be_o not_o of_o their_o mind_n who_o be_v like_o a_o cup_n of_o poison_n it_o shall_v set_v they_o all_o on_o tremble_v and_o instead_o of_o ruine_v jerusalem_n they_o shall_v be_v ruin_v by_o she_o and_o again_o vers_fw-la 3._o in_o that_o governor_n of_o judah_n as_o concern_v judah_n enemy_n in_o the_o former_a verse_n and_o what_o be_v it_o why_o this_o the_o governor_n of_o judah_n shall_v say_v in_o their_o heart_n it_o seem_v to_o i_o from_o this_o verse_n and_o likewise_o

utter_v it_o may_v be_v he_o speak_v one_o petition_n and_o at_o that_o instant_a groan_n for_o twenty_o the_o groan_n of_o the_o spirit_n in_o the_o saint_n heart_n whilst_o they_o be_v in_o prayer_n be_v far_o more_o large_a and_o extensive_a than_o the_o expression_n of_o the_o mouth_n be_v or_o can_v be_v and_o which_o may_v be_v a_o matter_n of_o abundant_a comfort_n to_o we_o the_o answer_n of_o god_n be_v not_o according_a to_o the_o expression_n of_o our_o mouth_n but_o the_o desire_n and_o groan_n of_o his_o own_o spirit_n o_o will_v we_o know_v then_o how_o to_o pray_v as_o we_o
