your_o heart_n all_o you_o that_o hope_v in_o the_o lord_n though_o you_o be_v weak_a and_o need_v strengthen_v and_o lie_v under_o heavey_a burden_n and_o want_v strength_n to_o bear_v they_o yet_o be_v of_o good_a courage_n god_n will_v strengthen_v your_o heart_n psal_n 147_o 12._o the_o lord_n take_v pleasure_n in_o those_o that_o hope_v in_o his_o mercy_n and_o be_v they_o the_o object_n of_o his_o delight_n then_o sure_o he_o will_v look_v after_o they_o and_o take_v notice_n of_o their_o need_n and_o give_v they_o seasonable_a supply_n and_o hear_v and_o answer_v the_o prayer_n that_o they_o put_v up_o for_o these_o supply_n such_o as_o pray_v in_o hope_n be_v sure_a to_o speed_n for_o hope_n redownd_v much_o to_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n it_o imply_v a_o acknowledment_n of_o his_o faithfulness_n and_o alsufficiency_n and_o it_o put_v the_o soul_n in_o a_o wait_a frame_n and_o meet_v mercy_n with_o a_o thankful_a heart_n and_o therefore_o god_n do_v take_v pleasure_n in_o such_o and_o in_o show_v mercy_n to_o such_o now_o lay_v these_o thing_n together_o and_o you_o will_v see_v both_o what_o hope_n god_n expect_v from_o you_o and_o why_o you_o be_v to_o exercise_v hope_n and_o of_o what_o use_v this_o precious_a grace_n be_v god_n expect_v that_o your_o hope_n be_v of_o the_o right_a kind_n a_o still_a and_o steadfast_a hope_n a_o lively_a and_o last_a hope_n ground_v upon_o the_o indwel_n of_o christ_n in_o the_o soul_n and_o his_o faithfulness_n in_o his_o promise_n make_v to_o such_o soul_n and_o such_o a_o hope_n as_o this_o be_v a_o mighty_a great_a help_n to_o the_o soul_n both_o in_o its_o work_n in_o its_o warfare_n and_o in_o all_o its_o want_n and_o now_o i_o proceed_v to_o the_o proof_n of_o the_o doctrine_n 3_o quest_n how_o do_v it_o appear_v that_o christ_n in_o we_o be_v our_o hope_n of_o glory_n answ_n though_o few_o mind_n it_o yet_o all_o shall_v know_v at_o the_o great_a day_n that_o this_o doctrine_n be_v a_o great_a truth_n and_o if_o we_o will_v submit_v our_o judgement_n to_o the_o standard_n of_o truth_n the_o infallible_a word_n of_o god_n it_o will_v convince_v we_o and_o clear_o inform_v we_o that_o it_o be_v christ_n in_o we_o that_o be_v our_o hope_n of_o glory_n 1._o the_o prouiso_n we_o find_v in_o the_o act_n of_o oblivion_n record_v in_o the_o word_n exempt_v all_o such_o from_o mercy_n as_o receive_v not_o christ_n by_o faith_n into_o their_o soul_n and_o so_o exclude_v they_o from_o all_o hope_n of_o glory_n there_o be_v act_n of_o grace_n in_o the_o gospel_n that_o grant_v pardon_n and_o promise_v glory_n to_o all_o penitent_a believer_n that_o receive_v christ_n by_o faith_n into_o their_o soul_n and_o consent_n and_o submit_v to_o his_o sceptre_n and_o upon_o these_o act_n of_o grace_n our_o hope_n of_o glory_n be_v build_v as_o upon_o a_o foundation_n but_o these_o act_n of_o grace_n have_v prouiso_n that_o exempt_v out_o of_o mercy_n and_o favour_v such_o as_o continue_v in_o impenitence_n and_o unbelief_n and_o in_o disobedience_n to_o the_o gospel_n and_o tell_v such_o that_o it_o be_v in_o vain_a for_o they_o whilst_o such_o to_o hope_v for_o glory_n but_o in_o that_o estate_n they_o can_v expect_v no_o mercy_n for_o god_n have_v exempt_v they_o in_o the_o act_n of_o grace_n 1_o cor._n 6.9_o 10._o be_v not_o deceive_v nither_o fornicator_n nor_o idolater_n etc._n etc._n shall_v inherit_v the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n glory_n be_v promise_v to_o some_o but_o gross_a sinner_n be_v exempt_v the_o apostle_n thus_o treat_v the_o corinthian_n if_o any_o among_o you_o lead_v wicked_a life_n and_o hope_v to_o go_v to_o heaven_n in_o their_o sin_n be_v it_o know_v to_o they_o that_o they_o be_v deceive_v they_o do_v but_o deceive_v themselves_o subject_n of_o this_o grace_n and_o to_o who_o the_o promise_n be_v make_v it_o be_v not_o to_o all_o sinner_n nor_o to_o sinner_n as_o sinner_n but_o to_o penitent_a sinner_n to_o such_o sinner_n and_o to_o all_o such_o and_o to_o none_o but_o such_o as_o come_v to_o christ_n in_o the_o path_n of_o the_o promise_n with_o penitent_a heart_n and_o accept_v of_o he_o upon_o his_o own_o term_n and_o receive_v he_o by_o faith_n into_o their_o soul_n to_o dwell_v with_o they_o by_o his_o grace_n and_o spirit_n and_o reign_v
