himself_o into_o a_o angel_n of_o light_n he_o will_v be_v foist_v in_o delusion_n yea_o many_o time_n when_o the_o soul_n wait_v for_o the_o revelation_n of_o god_n mercy_n the_o devil_n will_v be_v apt_a to_o foist_v in_o such_o revelation_n from_o whence_o many_o delusion_n may_v grow_v but_o yet_o on_o the_o otherside_n let_v not_o man_n be_v afraid_a and_o say_v that_o we_o have_v no_o revelation_n but_o the_o word_n for_o i_o do_v believe_v and_o dare_v confident_o affirm_v that_o if_o there_o be_v no_o revelation_n but_o the_o word_n there_o will_v be_v no_o spiritual_a grace_n reveal_v to_o the_o soul_n for_o it_o be_v more_o than_o the_o letter_n of_o the_o word_n that_o be_v require_v to_o it_o not_o that_o i_o look_v for_o any_o other_o matter_n beside_o the_o word_n but_o there_o be_v need_n of_o great_a light_n than_o the_o word_n of_o itself_o be_v able_a to_o give_v for_o it_o be_v not_o all_o the_o promise_n in_o scripture_n that_o have_v at_o any_o time_n wrought_v any_o gracious_a change_n in_o any_o soul_n or_o be_v able_a to_o beget_v the_o faith_n of_o god_n elect_n true_a it_o be_v indeed_o whether_o the_o father_n son_n or_o spirit_n reveal_v any_o thing_n it_o be_v in_o and_o according_a to_o the_o word_n but_o without_o the_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n there_o be_v no_o faith_n beget_v by_o any_o promise_n the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o all_o his_o work_n may_v beget_v you_o some_o knowledge_n if_o you_o be_v not_o mistake_v in_o they_o but_o to_o beget_v the_o faith_n of_o god_n elect_v that_o may_v be_v able_a to_o stand_v against_o all_o the_o power_n of_o darkness_n and_o to_o crush_v all_o the_o temptation_n of_o that_o wicked_a one_o it_o be_v not_o all_o the_o work_n of_o god_n nor_o all_o the_o word_n of_o god_n lively_a letter_n otherwise_o as_o not_o the_o flesh_n of_o christ_n so_o nor_o the_o word_n of_o christ_n profit_v any_o thing_n it_o be_v the_o spirit_n that_o quicken_v therefore_o look_v for_o this_o revelation_n of_o the_o spirit_n to_o show_v you_o the_o need_n of_o christ_n and_o the_o lord_n offer_v and_o present_v christ_n unto_o you_o and_o his_o draw_v your_o heart_n to_o believe_v upon_o he_o otherwise_o you_o neither_o can_v have_v any_o faith_n nor_o can_v you_o discern_v any_o gift_n of_o god_n bestow_v upon_o you_o in_o the_o second_o place_n use_v 2_o let_v this_o teach_v believe_v on_o he_o shall_v receive_v remission_n of_o sin_n there_o be_v a_o promise_n of_o remission_n of_o sin_n unto_o they_o which_o believe_v but_o be_v this_o faith_n in_o they_o before_o nay_o mercy_n as_o prov._n 28.13_o if_o he_o do_v manifest_v his_o free_a grace_n in_o such_o a_o promise_n to_o any_o soul_n that_o soul_n will_v look_v at_o his_o old_a confession_n as_o marvellous_a the_o father_n add_v further_a comfort_n in_o his_o justify_n grace_n for_o by_o it_o we_o have_v peace_n with_o god_n rom._n 5.1_o and_o chap._n 8.34_o it_o be_v god_n that_o justify_v who_o shall_v condemn_v such_o gracious_a support_n and_o more_o than_o transient_a tasting_n of_o his_o mercy_n not_o such_o as_o hypocrite_n may_v have_v but_o such_o as_o do_v more_o or_o less_o stay_v with_o the_o saint_n and_o people_n of_o god_n so_o that_o at_o the_o least_o there_o do_v ever_o remain_v a_o seed_n of_o consolation_n in_o the_o heart_n of_o all_o those_o who_o god_n have_v by_o his_o 17._o bless_a be_v thou_o simon_n bar-jona_n flesh_n and_o blood_n have_v not_o reveal_v this_o unto_o thou_o but_o my_o father_n which_o be_v in_o heaven_n and_o luk._n 10.20_o rejoice_v in_o this_o because_o your_o name_n be_v write_v in_o heaven_n so_o that_o there_o be_v consolation_n also_o in_o the_o work_n of_o the_o son_n but_o you_o shall_v find_v it_o true_a that_o it_o be_v by_o the_o christ_n when_o the_o lord_n give_v we_o to_o look_v unto_o the_o lord_n jesus_n in_o it_o and_o to_o it_o in_o he_o and_o as_o we_o look_v for_o our_o holiness_n to_o be_v perfect_a in_o jesus_n christ_n so_o we_o look_v for_o continual_a supply_n of_o it_o from_o he_o and_o this_o it_o be_v to_o make_v christ_n our_o sanctification_n when_o as_o whatsoever_o gift_n the_o lord_n give_v we_o we_o go_v not_o forth_o in_o the_o strength_n of_o it_o but_o in_o the_o strength_n of_o jesus_n christ_n there_o may_v be_v a_o change_n in_o the_o soul_n which_o may_v spring_v from_o a_o spirit_n of_o bondage_n and_o may_v captivate_v our_o conscience_n unto_o the_o law_n that_o may_v restrain_v we_o from_o sin_n and_o constrain_v we_o unto_o duty_n but_o such_o holiness_n spring_v not_o from_o union_n with_o jesus_n christ_n for_o there_o may_v be_v a_o conscience_n of_o duty_n without_o sense_n of_o our_o need_n of_o jesus_n christ_n as_o it_o be_v with_o the_o israelite_n at_o mount_n sinai_n deut._n 5.27_o go_v thou_o near_o say_v they_o to_o moses_n and_o hear_v all_o that_o the_o lord_n our_o god_n shall_v say_v and_o speak_v thou_o unto_o we_o all_o that_o the_o lord_n our_o god_n shall_v speak_v unto_o thou_o and_o we_o will_v hear_v it_o and_o do_v it_o they_o have_v well_o say_v all_o that_o they_o have_v speak_v say_v the_o lord_n o_o that_o there_o be_v a_o these_o gift_n of_o he_o but_o if_o he_o speak_v of_o his_o life_n he_o make_v this_o his_o universal_a life_n i_o live_v by_o the_o faith_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n and_o i_o be_o i_o be_o able_a to_o do_v all_o thing_n through_o christ_n which_o strengthen_v i_o phil._n 4.13_o this_o be_v the_o true_a savour_n of_o a_o christian_a spirit_n that_o when_o gift_n be_v at_o the_o high_a the_o as_o have_v nothing_o of_o himself_o this_o be_v a_o marvellous_a spiritual_a poverty_n and_o you_o shall_v ever_o find_v and_o i_o desire_v the_o lord_n will_v open_v the_o heart_n of_o his_o people_n to_o know_v what_o i_o speak_v that_o if_o christian_n have_v fall_v their_o

zeal_n and_o power_n come_v upon_o they_o for_o the_o service_n of_o the_o church_n and_o yet_o you_o will_v find_v that_o they_o will_v work_v from_o themselves_o and_o for_o themselves_o and_o for_o god_n they_o will_v not_o work_v beyond_o their_o own_o end_n and_o though_o they_o seem_v to_o walk_v with_o he_o for_o a_o while_n yet_o you_o shall_v soon_o see_v the_o lord_n will_v take_v one_o course_n and_o they_o will_v take_v another_o 3._o we_o now_o come_v unto_o a_o three_o work_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n in_o which_o he_o do_v give_v himself_o as_o god_n unto_o his_o people_n for_o that_o the_o eye_n of_o your_o understanding_n be_v enlighten_v you_o may_v know_v what_o be_v the_o hope_n of_o his_o call_n and_o what_o the_o riches_n of_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o inheritance_n they_o he_o will_v have_v none_o of_o they_o destitute_a of_o a_o spirit_n of_o wisdom_n and_o revelation_n and_o what_o shall_v this_o spirit_n do_v it_o shall_v enlighten_v the_o organ_n even_o be_v a_o self-confident_a cleave_v unto_o those_o gift_n of_o grace_n which_o by_o the_o covenant_n they_o have_v receive_v beside_o these_o cause_n of_o their_o fall_n from_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n i_o have_v observe_v no_o more_o in_o scripture_n nor_o have_v i_o find_v any_o more_o in_o my_o own_o experience_n when_o man_n be_v invest_v with_o many_o spiritual_a blessing_n sweet_o endow_v with_o many_o sprinkling_n of_o the_o blood_n of_o the_o covenant_n whereby_o they_o come_v to_o be_v great_a in_o knowledge_n and_o sometime_o excel_v in_o a_o spirit_n of_o prayer_n and_o some_o be_v good_a at_o one_o thing_n and_o some_o at_o another_o and_o be_v full_a of_o such_o gift_n it_o may_v easy_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o they_o may_v grow_v so_o confident_a of_o these_o that_o they_o will_v not_o subject_v themselves_o unto_o the_o righteousness_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n jesus_n and_o this_o be_v the_o rejection_n of_o the_o whole_a house_n of_o israel_n rom._n 10.3_o they_o be_v ignorant_a of_o god_n righteousness_n and_o go_v about_o to_o establish_v their_o own_o righteousness_n have_v not_o submit_v themselves_o unto_o the_o righteousness_n of_o god_n and_o hence_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n be_v unto_o they_o turn_v into_o a_o covenant_n of_o work_n they_o be_v now_o become_v the_o child_n of_o the_o bondwoman_n and_o not_o the_o child_n of_o the_o freewoman_n for_o they_o that_o have_v their_o faith_n in_o themselves_o and_o not_o in_o christ_n they_o fall_v under_o a_o covenant_n of_o work_n so_o that_o mind_n you_o the_o lord_n be_v just_a and_o righteous_a in_o all_o these_o his_o dispensation_n i_o say_v before_o god_n do_v receive_v abraham_n and_o his_o seed_n into_o this_o covenant_n i_o mean_v the_o faithful_a seed_n and_o they_o be_v receive_v into_o the_o second_o sort_n of_o blessing_n of_o the_o covenant_n which_o be_v true_o save_v for_o the_o lord_n receive_v they_o into_o inward_a fellowship_n with_o his_o son_n so_o as_o that_o they_o shall_v be_v justify_v sanctify_a and_o glorify_v but_o be_v the_o carnal_a seed_n then_o reject_v no_o but_o they_o partake_v in_o many_o bounty_n of_o god_n and_o grow_v up_o and_o live_v in_o his_o sight_n what_o in_o the_o enjoyment_n of_o outward_a blessing_n only_o no_o of_o spiritual_a blessing_n also_o i_o but_o the_o lord_n give_v they_o not_o the_o spiritual_a blessing_n of_o save_a grace_n by_o the_o covenant_n do_v he_o not_o and_o why_o be_v it_o not_o because_o he_o do_v not_o offer_v it_o to_o they_o but_o because_o they_o fall_v off_o from_o it_o
