unto_o you_o these_o two_o thing_n first_o that_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n do_v only_o in_o word_n acknowledge_v christ_n prophetical_a office_n &_o allow_v he_o to_o be_v a_o prophet_n but_o in_o deed_n and_o work_n deny_v it_o when_o they_o hear_v he_o in_o nothing_o and_o not_o only_o take_v away_o the_o scripture_n out_o of_o the_o hand_n of_o the_o people_n for_o who_o cause_n they_o be_v write_v with_o a_o special_a command_n also_o that_o they_o shall_v read_v they_o with_o a_o blessing_n add_v unto_o the_o command_n but_o affirm_v that_o they_o be_v accidental_o write_v and_o not_o by_o the_o command_n of_o god_n and_o that_o they_o be_v obscure_a and_o dark_a and_o that_o they_o be_v not_o perfect_a and_o complete_a in_o themselves_o without_o the_o tradition_n of_o the_o church_n counsel_n father_n and_o the_o decree_n of_o synod_n be_v join_v to_o they_o all_o which_o be_v not_o only_o impious_a and_o blasphemous_a tenant_n but_o as_o i_o say_v before_o overthrow_v the_o whole_a prophetical_a office_n of_o christ_n and_o all_o christian_a religion_n and_o bring_v in_o other_o prophet_n and_o another_o law_n and_o religion_n for_o the_o serve_v of_o god_n which_o they_o themselves_o have_v devise_v by_o all_o which_o they_o prove_v themselves_o to_o be_v no_o true_a church_n and_o not_o to_o be_v the_o pillar_n and_o ground_n of_o truth_n but_o the_o very_a basis_n of_o all_o error_n and_o abomination_n and_o this_o be_v the_o first_o thing_n that_o result_v from_o the_o conclusion_n of_o this_o discourse_n the_o second_o be_v this_o that_o when_o the_o church_n of_o england_n hold_v and_o believe_v all_o these_o thing_n viz._n that_o christ_n be_v the_o only_a prophet_n of_o his_o church_n and_o only_o to_o be_v hear_v &_o that_o he_o have_v full_o reveal_v the_o will_n of_o god_n to_o his_o church_n and_o that_o the_o scripture_n be_v write_v by_o the_o command_n of_o god_n himself_o and_o that_o they_o be_v not_o obscure_a but_o clear_a and_o perspicuous_a and_o that_o they_o ought_v to_o be_v read_v of_o the_o people_n and_o that_o they_o contain_v all_o thing_n in_o they_o necessary_a to_o salvation_n without_o the_o addition_n of_o any_o tradition_n of_o man_n it_o follow_v that_o she_o think_v and_o believe_v far_o more_o honourable_o of_o the_o prophetical_a office_n of_o christ_n than_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n and_o that_o she_o believe_v as_o she_o ought_v to_o believe_v and_o be_v build_v upon_o the_o foundation_n of_o peter_n and_o be_v the_o ground_n and_o pillar_n of_o truth_n and_o only_o depend_v upon_o the_o word_n and_o voice_n of_o christ_n her_o true_a sole_a and_o alone_a prophet_n and_o now_o mr._n montague_n i_o be_o come_v to_o the_o last_o thing_n i_o undertake_v to_o prove_v viz._n that_o all_o christian_n be_v tie_v to_o the_o write_a word_n of_o god_n to_o the_o end_n of_o the_o world_n as_o we_o find_v it_o pen_v in_o the_o holy_a scripture_n of_o the_o old_a and_o new_a testament_n and_o that_o the_o write_a word_n of_o god_n and_o that_o only_a be_v to_o be_v the_o rule_n of_o our_o faith_n and_o manner_n and_o that_o we_o be_v not_o to_o swarve_v or_o to_o depart_v from_o it_o or_o to_o listen_v to_o any_o doctrine_n whatsoever_o that_o be_v not_o either_o ground_v upon_o the_o express_a word_n of_o the_o scripture_n or_o necessary_o and_o infallible_o deduce_v from_o they_o or_o to_o admit_v in_o matter_n of_o faith_n of_o any_o tradition_n counsel_n or_o father_n no_o far_o than_o they_o be_v consentany_a and_o agreeable_a to_o the_o holy_a scripture_n yea_o that_o we_o ought_v not_o to_o listen_v to_o any_o doctrine_n whatsoever_o be_v contrary_a to_o the_o reveal_v will_n of_o god_n in_o the_o scripture_n though_o the_o apostle_n themselves_o shall_v rise_v from_o have_v write_v from_o the_o which_o i_o thus_o argue_v whosoever_o propound_v or_o establish_v any_o doctrine_n or_o opinion_n of_o faith_n from_o unwritten_a tradition_n be_v wise_a above_o that_o place_n it_o be_v manifest_v the_o write_a word_n be_v to_o be_v the_o only_a rule_n and_o not_o unwritten_a verity_n or_o humane_a tradition_n and_o in_o philip._n 3._o vers_fw-la 16._o man_n with_o whatsoever_o seem_a argument_n out_o of_o philosophy_n and_o humane_a wisdom_n they_o be_v propound_v unto_o they_o and_o enjoin_v they_o only_o to_o cleave_v unto_o the_o write_a word_n
