accomplish_v and_o come_v to_o pass_v yet_o that_o part_n of_o prophesy_v which_o the_o apostle_n commend_v as_o the_o chief_a of_o all_o to_o wit_n speak_v unto_o man_n to_o edification_n etc._n have_v so_o little_a understanding_n in_o spiritual_a thing_n that_o they_o be_v not_o think_v worthy_a to_o receive_v the_o sacrament_n and_o how_o then_o can_v such_o discern_v whether_o man_n be_v spiritural_a and_o able_a for_o the_o ministy_a or_o they_o be_v but_o carnal_a and_o such_o as_o can_v know_v nothing_o of_o spiritual_a thing_n to_o wit_n of_o the_o thing_n of_o god_n as_o a_o corinthian_n 2._o 14._o the_o natural_a man_n perceive_v not_o the_o thing_n of_o god_n neither_o can_v he_o know_v they_o because_o they_o be_v spiritual_o discern_v to_o wit_n through_o a_o eye_n therefore_o it_o be_v more_o wisdom_n to_o commit_v the_o apporveal_v of_o all_o spiritual_a man_n to_o the_o wise_a and_o learned_a and_o to_o the_o eldership_n etc._n etc._n answ_n i_o answer_v that_o he_o that_o enter_v in_o by_o the_o door_n which_o be_v christ_n himself_o our_o archbishop_n be_v the_o shepherd_n of_o the_o sheep_n as_o joh._n 10._o 2._o 9_o and_o to_o he_o the_o porter_n open_v and_o the_o sheep_n hear_v his_o voice_n and_o he_o call_v his_o own_o sheep_n by_o name_n and_o lead_v they_o out_o and_o when_o he_o put_v forth_o his_o own_o sheep_n he_o go_v before_o of_o god_n and_o bring_v his_o message_n so_o far_o at_o least_o as_o not_o to_o follow_v a_o stranger_n for_o the_o voice_n of_o stranger_n be_v strange_a unto_o they_o and_o such_o as_o they_o will_v not_o follow_v so_o that_o the_o general_a approbation_n of_o the_o sheep_n of_o christ_n such_o especial_o who_o be_v know_v to_o be_v his_o be_v the_o note_n of_o a_o shepherd_n that_o be_v call_v of_o god_n and_o send_v to_o preach_v or_o that_o be_v call_v to_o officiate_v in_o any_o place_n about_o spiritual_a thing_n and_o though_o they_o can_v discern_v who_o be_v fit_a for_o office_n yet_o if_o the_o wise_a and_o learned_a shall_v appoint_v they_o a_o stranger_n or_o a_o hireling_n and_o that_o care_v not_o for_o they_o or_o such_o who_o voice_n they_o know_v not_o or_o to_o who_o the_o porter_n open_v not_o they_o ought_v not_o to_o follow_v but_o to_o fly_v from_o they_o as_o from_o thief_n and_o robber_n yea_o as_o sheep_n from_o wolf_n that_o will_v murder_v and_o destroy_v and_o devour_v their_o soul_n as_o vers_n 5._o 8._o 10._o 12_o 13._o but_o if_o this_o be_v their_o duty_n as_o doubtless_o it_o be_v if_o they_o once_o discern_v who_o be_v such_o or_o such_o then_o it_o necessary_o follow_v that_o they_o ought_v not_o by_o authority_n to_o be_v otherwise_o impel_v but_o that_o in_o such_o respect_n as_o do_v so_o high_o concern_v the_o good_a of_o their_o soul_n and_o the_o soul_n of_o their_o household_n and_o their_o posterity_n after_o they_o till_o the_o world_n determine_v they_o may_v have_v liberty_n of_o conscience_n as_o they_o that_o we_o only_o receive_v they_o in_o hope_n to_o reduce_v they_o from_o such_o dangerous_a error_n if_o it_o be_v object_v that_o man_n will_v not_o allow_v any_o maintenance_n to_o such_o who_o they_o may_v not_o have_v vote_n in_o election_n of_o unless_o it_o be_v compel_v or_o force_v from_o they_o which_o be_v not_o warrantable_a as_o have_v be_v say_v and_o prove_v by_o some_o i_o answer_v brief_o that_o whatever_o other_o that_o be_v malignant_a and_o enemy_n to_o the_o church_n of_o god_n will_v do_v or_o refuse_v give_v or_o withhold_v in_o such_o a_o case_n that_o do_v not_o exempt_a thosewho_o be_v godly_a and_o conscientious_a form_n do_v their_o duty_n and_o from_o be_v impartial_a in_o such_o weighty_a business_n that_o concern_v the_o good_a of_o their_o it_o be_v so_o that_o the_o true_o religious_a will_v join_v themselves_o and_o engage_v in_o covenant_n each_o to_o other_o for_o this_o end_n that_o all_o of_o they_o may_v speak_v even_o the_o same_o thing_n without_o partiality_n or_o respect_n of_o person_n there_o will_v scarce_o any_o accept_v of_o a_o place_n but_o that_o be_v either_o call_v or_o approve_v by_o they_o nor_o will_v they_o continue_v against_o their_o will_n nor_o act_v contrary_a to_o their_o general_n result_v from_o scripture_n ground_n but_o while_o they_o sit_v loose_a and_o be_v partial_o engage_v and_o do_v not_o assemble_v themselves_o even_o their_o own_o self_n for_o these_o and_o such_o like_a business_n that_o concern_v they_o all_o how_o be_v it_o possible_a that_o they_o shall_v know_v the_o
