flesh_n in_o case_n it_o be_v not_o hold_v under_o to_o captivate_v he_o thereby_o he_o exercise_v himself_o in_o those_o duty_n of_o holiness_n which_o concern_v his_o general_n and_o particular_a call_n know_v that_o by_o keep_v a_o yoke_n upon_o the_o neck_n of_o this_o rebel_n he_o shall_v in_o time_n weaken_v he_o and_o make_v he_o the_o more_o unable_a to_o do_v he_o a_o injury_n at_o least_o deprive_v he_o of_o his_o advantage_n to_o do_v it_o the_o flesh_n be_v like_o a_o unruly_a beast_n which_o through_o rest_n and_o idleness_n grow_v wild_a and_o masterless_a and_o there_o sometime_o it_o be_v take_v so_o strict_o that_o it_o may_v contain_v not_o much_o more_o time_n if_o so_o much_o as_o a_o mere_a natural_a day_n and_o so_o we_o have_v the_o day_n of_o that_o great_a battle_n of_o armageddon_n often_o call_v where_o it_o be_v speak_v of_o that_o day_n rev._n 16.14_o and_o joel_n 3._o and_o other_o place_n sometime_o it_o be_v take_v strict_o but_o not_o so_o strict_o and_o then_o it_o be_v put_v for_o the_o whole_a time_n of_o christ_n kingdom_n here_o on_o earth_n from_o the_o time_n that_o he_o set_v up_o his_o kingdom_n to_o the_o end_n and_o this_o conceive_v for_o the_o time_n just_a upon_o christ_n set_v up_o his_o kingdom_n when_o god_n people_n enemy_n shall_v be_v ruin_v the_o jew_n call_v and_o mourn_v as_o here_o we_o read_v of_o 2_o a_o glorious_a effect_n follow_v this_o effusion_n or_o pour_v forth_o of_o the_o spirit_n which_o be_v twofold_a 1_o upon_o the_o sense_n they_o shall_v look_v upon_o i_o who_o they_o have_v pierce_v which_o word_n literal_o be_v speak_v of_o the_o jew_n who_o at_o the_o time_n of_o their_o call_n shall_v behold_v that_o jesus_n christ_n who_o their_o nation_n have_v pierce_v spiritual_o it_o be_v expression_n show_v that_o it_o shall_v be_v a_o exceed_a great_a mourning_n and_o that_o so_o too_o as_o it_o shall_v stick_v by_o they_o it_o shall_v not_o light_o pass_v off_o their_o spirit_n and_o glide_v away_o and_o so_o be_v forget_v and_o there_o be_v no_o more_o of_o it_o as_o other_o sorrow_n do_v but_o it_o shall_v be_v a_o exceed_a great_a and_o a_o remain_a mourning_n of_o which_o more_o be_v speak_v in_o the_o next_o verse_n the_o word_n thus_o open_v yield_v we_o several_a useful_a observation_n obs_n 1._o that_o the_o pour_v out_o of_o the_o spirit_n upon_o any_o gospel_n for_o to_o other_o man_n the_o law_n still_o remain_v in_o force_n as_o it_o be_v give_v by_o moses_n to_o it_o come_v without_o either_o of_o these_o 1_o it_o do_v not_o come_v with_o bare_a command_n as_o moses_n his_o law_n do_v it_o have_v command_n and_o more_o spiritual_a than_o the_o law_n have_v in_o the_o hand_n of_o moses_n but_o these_o be_v not_o bare_a command_n command_v without_o any_o life_n or_o power_n no_o but_o there_o be_v a_o power_n and_o efficacy_n that_o go_v forth_o with_o every_o command_n of_o the_o law_n as_o it_o be_v in_o the_o hand_n of_o christ_n there_o be_v a_o exceed_a aptness_n of_o power_n enable_v the_o soul_n to_o do_v what_o it_o command_v so_o that_o a_o poor_a soul_n receive_v the_o law_n from_o the_o hand_n of_o christ_n be_v not_o leave_v lame_a and_o dead_a unable_a to_o follow_v the_o voice_n of_o the_o law_n but_o it_o find_v life_n and_o power_n come_v in_o with_o the_o command_n it_o bid_v the_o soul_n pray_v and_o give_v the_o spirit_n to_o enable_v to_o cry_v abba_n father_n it_o bid_v it_o avoid_v evil_a and_o do_v good_a and_o inable_v it_o to_o do_v the_o one_o and_o the_o other_o thus_o the_o soul_n be_v not_o command_n a_o voice_n of_o word_n but_o command_v with_o power_n the_o word_n and_o the_o power_n go_v together_o 2_o it_o do_v not_o come_v with_o terrible_a threaten_n and_o denunciation_n of_o wrath_n it_o do_v not_o say_v man_z woman_n do_v this_o or_o thou_o be_v damn_v avoid_v that_o or_o thou_o be_v damn_v it_o have_v no_o such_o language_n but_o the_o law_n as_o it_o be_v in_o the_o thankfulness_n to_o thy_o father_n for_o his_o unspeakable_a love_n which_o thou_o shall_v abundant_o do_v if_o thou_o will_v endeavour_v in_o all_o thing_n to_o observe_v i_o and_o therefore_o poor_a soul_n be_v thou_o now_o a_o obedient_a child_n do_v thy_o father_n will_n because_o he_o have_v proclaim_v to_o thou_o in_o the_o word_n of_o his_o grace_n that_o he_o have_v give_v heaven_n to_o
