for_o a_o die_a hour_n and_o must_v expect_v to_o be_v cast_v off_o from_o god_n and_o christ_n for_o ever_o such_o be_v those_o mat._n 7.22_o 23._o they_o come_v and_o cry_v lord_n lord_n come_v throne_n in_o the_o soul_n if_o we_o let_v down_o our_o watch_n but_o a_o little_a but_o oh_o take_v heed_n of_o this_o so_o far_o as_o any_o one_o lust_n whatsoever_o be_v predominant_a within_o we_o so_o far_o we_o be_v marvellous_a unready_a for_o a_o die_a hour_n and_o not_o only_o so_o but_o second_o watch_v narrow_o against_o the_o very_a first_o rise_n and_o motion_n of_o sin_n within_o nip_v lust_n if_o possible_a in_o the_o very_a bud_n and_o blossom_n it_o be_v true_a this_o call_v upon_o we_o to_o have_v a_o very_a curious_a eye_n upon_o our_o heart_n
hence_o and_o be_v no_o more_o sinner_n will_v you_o set_v about_o this_o great_a business_n your_o work_n be_v whole_o yet_o to_o do_v though_o it_o may_v be_v your_o day_n be_v far_o spend_v your_o glass_n be_v almost_o run_v your_o sun_n near_o set_v and_o all_o your_o work_n to_o do_v oh_o it_o be_v high_a time_n for_o you_o to_o awake_v out_o of_o sleep_n unless_o you_o mean_v to_o sleep_v the_o sleep_n of_o eternal_a death_n saint_n will_v you_o set_v about_o this_o great_a business_n while_o god_n spare_v you_o you_o have_v do_v somewhat_o but_o there_o be_v much_o more_o yet_o to_o be_v do_v there_o be_v much_o out_o of_o order_n yet_o in_o your_o soul_n grace_n weak_a it_o may_v be_v corruption_n strong_a peace_n break_v evidence_n blur_v and_o blot_v unbelief_n powerful_a within_o you_o the_o heart_n much_o estrange_v from_o god_n little_a suitableness_n to_o heaven_n in_o your_o spirit_n and_o the_o like_a will_v you_o now_o labour_v to_o recover_v strength_n how_o many_o of_o we_o may_v complain_v as_o that_o holy_a man_n st._n bernard_n once_o do_v i_o be_o ashamed_a to_o live_v because_o i_o be_o so_o unprofitable_a and_o i_o be_o afraid_a to_o die_v because_o i_o be_o so_o unprepared_a sure_o this_o truth_n concern_v the_o best_a of_o we_o all_o and_o if_o we_o understand_v ourselves_o we_o can_v but_o know_v it_o the_o lord_n help_v we_o to_o know_v it_o effectual_o and_o if_o after_o all_o you_o will_v indeed_o address_v to_o this_o great_a work_n and_o business_n than_o i_o have_v several_a great_a and_o weighty_a direction_n to_o propound_v to_o you_o for_o your_o help_n therein_o of_o which_o some_o more_o general_a some_o more_o particular_a and_o i_o will_v speak_v of_o each_o distinct_o chap._n vii_o wherein_o be_v propound_v several_a general_a direction_n in_o order_n to_o a_o through_o preparation_n of_o soul_n for_o a_o die_a hour_n 1._o will_v you_o indeed_o set_v all_o thing_n right_a in_o your_o soul_n make_v all_o ready_a for_o a_o die_a hour_n then_o in_o your_o most_o prosperous_a and_o flourish_a state_n here_o maintain_v a_o frequent_a and_o serious_a remembrance_n of_o death_n and_o the_o day_n of_o darkness_n but_o especial_o we_o shall_v remember_v death_n and_o the_o grave_a we_o shall_v carry_v a_o lively_a remembrance_n of_o these_o day_n of_o darkness_n daily_o upon_o we_o and_o indeed_o our_o not_o remember_v these_o day_n of_o darkness_n be_v one_o great_a cause_n why_o we_o be_v so_o unready_a for_o death_n and_o the_o grave_a as_o we_o be_v when_o we_o be_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o our_o enjoyment_n and_o the_o stream_n run_v pleasant_o about_o we_o we_o be_v too_o apt_a to_o forget_v these_o day_n of_o darkness_n we_o be_v so_o take_v with_o our_o earthly_a
