the_o first_o be_v security_n and_o deadness_n of_o heart_n which_o be_v a_o slumber_n of_o spirit_n and_o sleepiness_n of_o the_o soul_n which_o have_v bind_v up_o all_o faculty_n and_o power_n of_o the_o soul_n so_o as_o it_o can_v as_o little_o move_v or_o stir_v in_o the_o action_n and_o affair_n of_o heavenly_a and_o spiritual_a life_n as_o a_o man_n when_o he_o be_v on_o a_o dead_a sleep_n can_v move_v or_o bestir_v himself_o to_o bodily_a and_o natural_a action_n the_o mind_n till_o god_n awaken_v it_o never_o serious_o think_v of_o god_n or_o of_o his_o own_o estate_n the_o conscience_n never_o or_o seldom_o accuse_v for_o sin_n commit_v the_o will_n incline_v not_o to_o any_o thing_n true_o good_a the_o affection_n remain_v unmooved_a at_o god_n word_n or_o work_n the_o whole_a man_n be_v senseless_a and_o careless_a of_o god_n judgement_n either_o present_a or_o to_o come_v and_o whence_o be_v all_o this_o but_o from_o a_o profane_a delusion_n of_o the_o heart_n that_o the_o master_n will_v not_o yet_o come_v they_o shall_v not_o yet_o be_v call_v to_o their_o reckon_n there_o be_v time_n enough_o behind_o to_o repent_v in_o they_o crave_v but_o a_o hour_n on_o their_o death_n bed_n and_o that_o they_o hope_v they_o shall_v have_v in_o the_o mean_a time_n they_o be_v eat_v up_o with_o dissoluteness_n and_o profaneness_n cast_v away_o sobriety_n and_o any_o of_o these_o practice_n and_o distemper_n oh_o no_o i_o mean_v to_o repent_v but_o he_o come_v sudden_o as_o a_o thief_n in_o the_o night_n and_o this_o sudden_a come_n at_o least_o to_o thou_o in_o particular_a may_v cut_v off_o all_o thy_o purpose_n for_o it_o be_v just_a with_o god_n that_o they_o who_o take_v not_o his_o time_n of_o repentance_n shall_v never_o attain_v to_o their_o own_o what_o will_v now_o be_v the_o issue_n of_o thy_o delay_n sure_o thou_o have_v better_o be_v a_o dog_n or_o a_o toad_n or_o the_o vile_a creature_n of_o all_o the_o creation_n than_o a_o secure_a sinner_n overtake_v in_o thy_o wickedness_n the_o second_o thing_n that_o hinder_v this_o expectation_n of_o the_o last_o judgement_n as_o careful_o to_o be_v avoid_v as_o the_o former_a be_v the_o care_n of_o this_o present_a life_n and_o the_o greedy_a desire_n and_o thirst_n after_o the_o world_n which_o by_o this_o consideration_n also_o may_v be_v abate_v for_o if_o this_o day_n of_o judgement_n whether_o general_a or_o particular_a to_o thyself_o be_v to_o morrow_n what_o be_v thy_o gold_n silver_n plate_n jewel_n worth_a to_o thou_o they_o be_v all_o one_o with_o the_o stone_n in_o the_o street_n tell_v i_o now_o whether_o thou_o will_v not_o then_o esteem_v christ_n and_o his_o merit_n thy_o chief_a commodity_n or_o if_o thou_o can_v but_o conceive_v with_o thyself_o the_o
