these_o disease_n of_o the_o soul_n concern_v the_o law_n 5_o the_o apostle_n say_v when_o we_o be_v in_o the_o flesh_n the_o motion_n of_o sin_n which_o be_v by_o the_o law_n do_v work_v in_o our_o like_o locust_n overspread_v the_o earth_n devour_v the_o fruit_n of_o it_o these_o come_v out_o of_o the_o smoke_n of_o the_o bottomless_a pit_n the_o smoke_n of_o error_n and_o superstition_n for_o when_o such_o doctrine_n pass_v for_o currant_n that_o man_n may_v be_v save_v by_o observe_v vain_a humane_a tradition_n that_o there_o be_v a_o treasure_n in_o the_o church_n fill_v up_o with_o the_o merit_n of_o those_o that_o have_v a_o overplus_n beside_o what_o be_v needful_a for_o themselves_o and_o that_o they_o who_o be_v benefactor_n to_o the_o monk_n shall_v be_v partaker_n of_o their_o merit_n how_o mad_a be_v the_o world_n in_o build_v monastery_n and_o give_v their_o land_n and_o good_n to_o the_o friar_n devote_v their_o child_n to_o that_o profession_n yea_o it_o seem_v divers_a noble_a person_n and_o some_o king_n and_o queen_n turn_v monk_n and_o nun_n and_o as_o the_o smoke_n of_o the_o pit_n do_v breed_v the_o locust_n so_o the_o locust_n increase_v the_o smoke_n and_o make_v the_o mist_n of_o darkness_n great_a and_o thick_a multiply_v error_n and_o superstition_n if_o this_o be_v one_o of_o those_o grievous_a woe_n whereof_o the_o angel_n fly_v through_o the_o midst_n of_o heaven_n give_v warning_n to_o the_o world_n how_o shall_v we_o be_v humble_v and_o ashamed_a in_o respect_n of_o the_o great_a earthliness_n dulness_n senselesness_n of_o spirit_n so_o many_o locust_n deceiver_n and_o deceive_v come_v out_o of_o the_o smoke_n of_o error_n this_o aught_o to_o be_v for_o a_o lamentation_n but_o how_o many_o that_o profess_v themselves_o christian_n set_v their_o heart_n so_o much_o upon_o their_o own_o private_a concernment_n their_o business_n wealth_n ease_n and_o pleasure_n etc._n etc._n and_o those_o that_o have_v something_o of_o a_o public_a spirit_n yet_o confine_v their_o serious_a thought_n to_o the_o external_a good_a of_o the_o commonwealth_n that_o they_o little_a or_o nothing_o regard_v these_o destructive_a evil_n that_o be_v of_o a_o spiritual_a nature_n if_o gallio_n his_o temper_n who_o when_o complaint_n be_v make_v to_o he_o about_o difference_n in_o religion_n slight_v they_o as_o word_n and_o name_n and_o care_v for_o none_o of_o these_o thing_n may_v be_v think_v tolerable_o or_o at_o at_o least_o not_o much_o to_o be_v marvail_v at_o in_o a_o heathen_a yet_o doubtless_o it_o be_v shameful_a and_o odious_a in_o a_o christian._n what!_o a_o christian_a and_o not_o move_v that_o christ_n who_o be_v the_o truth_n be_v so_o high_o dishonour_v by_o lie_n and_o falsehood_n teach_v and_o receive_v instead_o of_o truth_n that_o multitude_n of_o poor_a soul_n be_v in_o a_o ready_a way_n to_o be_v destroy_v by_o damnable_a doctrine_n that_o error_n beget_v error_n and_o be_v likely_a to_o overgrow_v the_o truth_n to_o spread_v far_o and_o wide_a that_o so_o many_o be_v both_o infect_v by_o they_o and_o alienate_v from_o the_o remedy_n shun_v the_o public_a ordinance_n
