soul_n be_v thereby_o prompt_v and_o dispose_v to_o that_o which_o be_v good_a and_o ponderates_n towards_o god_n it_o give_v a_o relish_n of_o divine_a and_o spiritual_a thing_n and_o make_v the_o soul_n more_o and_o more_o averse_a to_o all_o evil_a vain_a or_o silly_a thought_n and_o imagination_n and_o therefore_o if_o we_o desire_v to_o be_v preserve_v from_o wicked_a thought_n to_o keep_v our_o heart_n in_o due_a temper_n and_o government_n we_o shall_v be_v constant_a and_o earnest_a in_o our_o approach_n to_o the_o throne_n of_o grace_n daily_o and_o fervent_a in_o our_o prayer_n every_o act_n of_o excess_n whereby_o it_o be_v impair_v be_v a_o great_a sin_n than_o man_n be_v aware_a because_o it_o be_v the_o great_a advantage_n of_o health_n and_o vigour_n of_o body_n that_o it_o render_v we_o capable_a of_o serve_v god_n and_o of_o due_o prepare_v ourselves_o for_o the_o eternal_a enjoyment_n of_o he_o every_o disease_n have_v a_o influence_n upon_o the_o soul_n and_o the_o indisposition_n of_o the_o body_n do_v and_o will_v affect_v the_o mind_n notwithstanding_o all_o the_o dream_n of_o the_o stoic_n but_o of_o all_o the_o disease_n incident_a to_o humane_a body_n that_o of_o melancholy_n deserve_v most_o to_o be_v pity_v it_o shall_v not_o be_v slight_v with_o the_o reproachful_a name_n of_o whimsy_n and_o mere_a fancy_n it_o be_v a_o great_a injury_n do_v to_o person_n who_o be_v affect_v with_o it_o to_o disregard_n their_o complaint_n and_o laugh_v at_o their_o mifery_n though_o they_o shall_v not_o indulge_v they_o yet_o some_o pity_n be_v the_o animal_n spirit_n there_o be_v some_o natural_a remedy_n to_o be_v make_v use_n of_o for_o which_o i_o must_v leave_v you_o to_o the_o learned_a in_o nature_n who_o will_v tell_v you_o that_o very_o much_o depend_v upon_o observation_n and_o exercise_n that_o to_o be_v morigerous_a and_o moderate_a in_o eat_v and_o drink_v and_o to_o be_v much_o in_o bodily_a exercise_n but_o not_o violent_a be_v most_o proper_a advice_n if_o a_o person_n have_v but_o the_o virtue_n to_o be_v regular_a in_o his_o way_n of_o live_v and_o the_o patience_n to_o continue_v bodily_a exercise_n he_o do_v a_o great_a deal_n towards_o make_v his_o life_n more_o easy_a and_o his_o thought_n more_o comfortable_a for_o every_o thing_n that_o tend_v to_o make_v the_o blood_n and_o spirit_n lively_a regular_a and_o vigorous_a tend_v to_o dispel_v the_o blackness_n and_o heaviness_n of_o the_o thought_n which_o therefore_o whoever_o be_v so_o unhappy_a as_o to_o be_v afflict_v with_o melancholy_a must_v study_v he_o must_v i_o say_v apply_v himself_o to_o the_o use_n of_o such_o thing_n as_o tend_v to_o cherish_v his_o blood_n and_o exalt_v his_o spirit_n to_o which_o all_o vicious_a extreme_n be_v direct_o contrary_a the_o learned_a physician_n will_v also_o tell_v you_o that_o none_o be_v more_o voracious_a of_o medicine_n than_o melancholy_a person_n but_o that_o their_o desire_n in_o that_o be_v no_o more_o to_o be_v indulge_v than_o in_o many_o other_o thing_n and_o that_o there_o may_v be_v too_o much_o as_o well_o as_o too_o little_a but_o i_o be_o go_v too_o far_o this_o way_n i_o will_v only_o have_v it_o observe_v that_o sad_a melancholy_a and_o even_o despair_a thought_n be_v sometime_o the_o consequence_n of_o this_o disease_n for_o such_o it_o be_v as_o much_o as_o a_o fever_n or_o any_o other_o and_o therefore_o the_o pysician_n must_v be_v consult_v but_o although_o the_o infirmity_n of_o the_o body_n do_v very_o much_o conduce_v to_o such_o thought_n as_o these_o yet_o we_o shall_v be_v mindful_a that_o there_o be_v the_o hand_n of_o god_n in_o they_o too_o and_o not_o so_o to_o lay_v the_o blame_n upon_o natural_a indisposition_n as_o to_o have_v no_o other_o thought_n about_o it_o we_o may_v not_o think_v that_o this_o case_n be_v pure_o physical_a and_o that_o therefore_o there_o be_v no_o need_n of_o any_o spiritual_a remedy_n for_o there_o be_v the_o
