the_o lord_n ordain_v and_o cast_v it_o to_o be_v in_o the_o church_n of_o christ_n now_o this_o foundation_n be_v lay_v body_n that_o though_o the_o church_n be_v not_o christ_n natural_a body_n it_o be_v yet_o as_o his_o natural_a body_n the_o great_a question_n be_v wherein_o do_v this_o comparison_n or_o resemblance_n stand_v to_o that_o i_o answer_v first_o it_o be_v easy_a for_o a_o man_n to_o name_v many_o particular_n wherein_o the_o comparison_n will_v not_o hold_v betwixt_o the_o church_n and_o a_o natural_a body_n and_o it_o be_v as_o easy_a for_o a_o man_n to_o name_v many_o thing_n wherein_o they_o be_v very_o like_o one_o to_o another_o but_o we_o must_v not_o be_v wise_a beyond_o the_o scripture_n nor_o stretch_v it_o any_o further_a than_o the_o lord_n intend_v it_o i_o humble_o conceive_v that_o the_o comparison_n lie_v proper_o in_o these_o two_o thing_n first_o that_o as_o in_o the_o natural_a body_n the_o member_n and_o every_o member_n have_v a_o real_a union_n with_o the_o head_n for_o its_o own_o part_n have_v the_o same_o spirit_n animate_v it_o that_o be_v in_o the_o head_n and_o thereby_o have_v a_o communion_n with_o and_o dependence_n upon_o the_o head_n in_o all_o the_o office_n that_o the_o head_n can_v do_v for_o it_o so_o every_o particular_a christian_n or_o member_n of_o the_o church_n have_v a_o real_a indissoluble_a spiritual_a union_n and_o conjunction_n with_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n have_v his_o spirit_n communicate_v unto_o they_o which_o be_v the_o foundation_n of_o all_o their_o communion_n the_o very_a root_n and_o principle_n of_o their_o spiritual_a life_n and_o which_o enable_v they_o every_o one_o for_o their_o part_n to_o live_v unto_o christ_n that_o be_v one_o second_o which_o be_v the_o thing_n i_o intend_v that_o as_o in_o the_o natural_a body_n all_o the_o member_n do_v not_o only_o meet_v in_o the_o head_n as_o all_o the_o line_n do_v meet_v in_o a_o centre_n and_o be_v one_o there_o though_o they_o do_v not_o touch_v one_o another_o anywhere_o else_o but_o they_o be_v all_o by_o the_o wonderful_a power_n and_o wisdom_n of_o god_n so_o contrive_v and_o compact_v and_o join_v
same_o spirit_n the_o manifestation_n of_o the_o spirit_n be_v give_v to_o every_o one_o to_o profit_v withal_o to_o one_o be_v give_v a_o word_n of_o wisdom_n to_o another_o the_o word_n of_o knowledge_n to_o another_o faith_n to_o another_o the_o gift_n of_o heal_v etc._n etc._n but_o all_o these_o work_v that_o one_o and_o the_o selfsame_a spirit_n divide_v to_o every_o man_n several_o as_o he_o will_v that_o be_v the_o second_o they_o be_v all_o one_o body_n and_o they_o have_v one_o spirit_n three_o and_o they_o be_v all_o one_o in_o this_o that_o they_o all_o have_v the_o same_o hope_n of_o their_o call_n by_o hope_n there_o be_v not_o mean_v the_o grace_n of_o hope_n whereby_o we_o expect_v and_o wait_v for_o the_o good_a that_o christ_n have_v purchase_v for_o we_o but_o there_o it_o signify_v the_o object_n of_o hope_n and_o therefore_o be_v call_v the_o hope_n of_o our_o call_n 18._o which_o in_o other_o place_n be_v call_v the_o hope_n set_v before_o we_o 3._o and_o plain_o signify_v that_o which_o the_o holy_a ghost_n call_v the_o common_a salvation_n of_o all_o god_n people_n the_o mean_a as_o well_o as_o the_o great_a have_v a_o share_n in_o the_o great_a thing_n lay_v up_o in_o store_n for_o they_o all_o which_o they_o all_o aspire_v to_o and_o seek_v after_o and_o in_o the_o end_n do_v all_o enjoy_v which_o be_v the_o end_n of_o their_o faith_n and_o hope_n the_o salvation_n of_o their_o soul_n there_o be_v one_o body_n one_o spirit_n one_o hope_n of_o their_o call_n four_o they_o have_v all_o one_o lord_n one_o lord_n what_o be_v that_o to_o interpret_v this_o aright_o be_v please_v to_o remember_v this_o one_o rule_n that_o wherever_o in_o the_o new_a testament_n you_o find_v god_n and_o lord_n both_o mention_v together_o to_o signify_v distinct_a person_n lord_n always_o signify_v jesus_n christ_n 5._o as_o mediator_n as_o in_o 1_o cor._n 8._o and_o other_o place_n there_o be_v god_n many_o and_o lord_n many_o but_o we_o have_v but_o one_o god_n that_o be_v over_o all_o and_o one_o lord_n by_o who_o be_v all_o thing_n and_o we_o by_o he_o so_o that_o by_o one_o lord_n he_o there_o mean_v that_o all_o the_o saint_n throughout_o the_o world_n have_v their_o address_n to_o god_n only_o in_o the_o name_n and_o mediation_n of_o the_o same_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n they_o have_v but_o one_o advocate_n one_o intercessor_n one_o mediator_n between_o god_n and_o they_o and_o by_o who_o alone_o be_v communicate_v to_o they_o all_o the_o good_a thing_n which_o come_v from_o god_n then_o five_o they_o have_v all_o one_o faith_n there_o be_v one_o lord_n and_o one_o faith_n i_o conceive_v that_o there_o by_o faith_n be_v not_o mean_v the_o grace_n of_o faith_n although_o if_o that_o be_v mean_v as_o i_o shall_v show_v you_o by_o and_o by_o yet_o they_o have_v all_o that_o one_o faith_n but_o there_o he_o mean_v by_o faith_n the_o rule_n doctrine_n and_o object_n of_o faith_n the_o doctrine_n which_o be_v believe_v and_o signify_v that_o all_o the_o saint_n throughout_o the_o world_n do_v by_o faith_n receive_v and_o believe_v the_o selfsame_a truth_n which_o give_v they_o a_o interest_n in_o god_n and_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n and_o which_o carry_v they_o to_o eternal_a salvation_n now_o because_o this_o seem_v a_o little_a difficult_a i_o must_v endeavour_v a_o little_a more_o full_o to_o clear_v it_o than_o i_o have_v do_v any_o of_o the_o former_a i_o say_v all_o the_o member_n of_o christ_n throughout_o the_o world_n have_v one_o faith_n the_o meaning_n be_v in_o every_o age_n and_o every_o corner_n of_o the_o world_n where_o christ_n have_v any_o of_o his_o people_n there_o be_v some_o common_a doctrine_n wherein_o salvation_n be_v to_o be_v find_v in_o which_o all_o god_n people_n do_v agree_v each_o of_o they_o believe_v and_o receive_v they_o for_o his_o particular_a for_o although_o great_a clerk_n do_v know_v and_o understand_v many_o truth_n which_o other_o be_v ignorant_a of_o yea_o and_o among_o the_o people_n of_o christ_n there_o be_v great_a difference_n and_o division_n in_o their_o opinion_n in_o many_o particular_a thing_n of_o weight_n and_o concernment_n yet_o if_o you_o sever_v the_o thing_n wherein_o they_o differ_v one_o from_o another_o and_o set_v they_o aside_o and_o gather_v into_o one_o symbol_n or_o sum_n those_o great_a truth_n wherein_o they_o all_o agree_v there_o will_v be_v find_v so_o much_o truth_n embrace_v by_o all_o the_o people_n of_o god_n which_o will_v bring_v they_o all_o to_o salvation_n be_v real_o believe_v and_o answer_v with_o a_o holy_a conversation_n for_o instance_n look_v this_o day_n into_o all_o the_o corner_n of_o the_o earth_n east_n west_n north_n and_o south_n where_o the_o name_n of_o christ_n be_v know_v and_o profess_v the_o great_a fundamental_a doctrine_n which_o bring_v salvation_n be_v receive_v by_o all_o the_o member_n of_o christ_n truth_n be_v there_o be_v in_o many_o place_n damnable_a heresy_n superinduce_v which_o if_o receive_v the_o foundation_n be_v destroy_v but_o christ_n spirit_n in_o all_o the_o saint_n either_o make_v they_o see_v the_o danger_n of_o they_o and_o abhor_v they_o or_o else_o in_o mercy_n keep_v they_o ignorant_a of_o they_o and_o so_o i_o doubt_v not_o but_o it_o be_v even_o in_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n this_o day_n among_o who_o christ_n will_v have_v a_o people_n to_o be_v call_v out_o from_o among_o they_o when_o that_o babylon_n be_v to_o be_v destroy_v though_o their_o doctrine_n in_o the_o gross_a sum_n as_o set_v forth_o in_o the_o council_n of_o trent_n will_v not_o stand_v with_o salvation_n yet_o some_o latent_a member_n of_o christ_n church_n among_o they_o do_v through_o mercy_n see_v and_o shun_v those_o thing_n which_o be_v damnable_a or_o be_v ignorant_a of_o that_o mystery_n of_o iniquity_n and_o place_v all_o their_o hope_n of_o salvation_n in_o christ_n alone_o and_o lead_v their_o life_n in_o holiness_n according_a to_o their_o measure_n of_o light_n receive_v the_o sum_n of_o all_o come_v to_o this_o that_o among_o all_o christ_n people_n in_o the_o world_n there_o be_v embrace_v so_o much_o truth_n as_o be_v accompany_v with_o a_o answerable_a conversation_n will_v save_v they_o and_o notwithstanding_o the_o remainder_n of_o their_o mistake_n error_n corruption_n of_o judgement_n about_o lesser_a truth_n and_o corruption_n in_o their_o conversation_n we_o may_v comfortable_o say_v of_o they_o all_o as_o the_o apostle_n do_v in_o the_o six_o of_o the_o galathian_n 16._o as_o many_o as_o walk_v according_a to_o this_o rule_n peace_n be_v upon_o they_o and_o upon_o the_o israel_n of_o god_n this_o be_v the_o five_o thing_n that_o all_o the_o saint_n in_o every_o corner_n of_o the_o world_n have_v one_o faith_n and_o if_o also_o you_o will_v take_v faith_n for_o the_o grace_n of_o faith_n whereby_o each_o for_o their_o part_n be_v unite_v to_o jesus_n christ_n which_o faith_n also_o be_v the_o principle_n of_o that_o life_n of_o grace_n which_o the_o saint_n lead_v in_o this_o world_n for_o we_o live_v by_o faith_n in_o this_o also_o all_o god_n people_n in_o the_o world_n have_v the_o same_o faith_n which_o be_v therefore_o call_v the_o faith_n of_o god_n elect_a 1._o and_o the_o like_a precious_a faith_n so_o they_o be_v one_o body_n 2._o have_v one_o spirit_n one_o hope_n of_o their_o call_n one_o lord_n one_o faith_n then_o 6_o and_o they_o have_v all_o one_o baptism_n which_o be_v not_o to_o be_v take_v literal_o bare_o for_o the_o sacrament_n of_o wash_v with_o water_n but_o either_o it_o be_v take_v as_o some_o interpret_v it_o for_o the_o spiritual_a part_n of_o baptism_n which_o be_v their_o new_a birth_n the_o wash_n away_o of_o their_o sin_n and_o the_o wash_n of_o they_o with_o god_n spirit_n or_o rather_o as_o it_o be_v the_o custom_n in_o the_o jewish_a church_n to_o have_v all_o their_o ordinance_n signify_v by_o circumcision_n whence_o therefore_o all_o who_o embrace_v the_o jew_n manner_n of_o worship_n be_v call_v the_o circumcision_n because_o it_o be_v the_o first_o ordinance_n and_o that_o which_o seal_v they_o to_o all_o the_o rest_n so_o i_o conceive_v he_o mean_v by_o baptism_n that_o as_o it_o be_v the_o first_o ordinance_n so_o it_o be_v here_o use_v to_o express_v all_o gospel_n institution_n so_o that_o by_o one_o baptism_n he_o mean_v that_o god_n people_n all_o have_v the_o same_o ordinance_n or_o mean_n for_o their_o edification_n and_o build_v up_o in_o christ_n and_o then_o last_o they_o have_v all_o one_o god_n and_o father_n of_o all_o who_o be_v above_o they_o all_o and_o through_o they_o all_o and_o in_o they_o all_o which_o signify_v that_o they_o all_o have_v one_o god_n which_o be_v their_o sovereign_a lord_n the_o father_n
together_o that_o they_o have_v a_o real_a union_n one_o with_o another_o so_o in_o this_o mystical_a and_o spiritual_a body_n all_o the_o saint_n have_v not_o only_o each_o for_o his_o own_o part_n a_o union_n and_o conjunction_n with_o jesus_n christ_n but_o also_o a_o real_a union_n and_o conjunction_n one_o with_o another_o which_o be_v the_o foundation_n of_o many_o duty_n which_o every_o one_o of_o they_o be_v thereby_o bind_v to_o perform_v one_o to_o another_o and_o of_o many_o privilege_n which_o thereby_o they_o enjoy_v with_o and_o by_o one_o another_o as_o shall_v god_n will_v be_v afterwards_o open_v unto_o you_o now_o this_o my_o text_n speak_v as_o plain_o as_o any_o man_n can_v wish_v when_o it_o say_v that_o we_o be_v many_o that_o be_v all_o we_o christian_n all_o of_o christ_n have_v with_o christ_n their_o head_n be_v a_o most_o divine_a excellent_a and_o necessary_a truth_n and_o indeed_o be_v the_o foundation_n and_o principle_n of_o all_o our_o christian_a life_n and_o therefore_o most_o worthy_a to_o be_v understand_v by_o all_o god_n people_n but_o that_o not_o be_v the_o main_a drift_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n in_o this_o place_n another_o i_o forbear_v to_o speak_v of_o at_o this_o time_n and_o shall_v treat_v only_o of_o the_o second_o and_o that_o be_v the_o union_n and_o conjunction_n that_o be_v and_o aught_o to_o be_v between_o all_o the_o people_n of_o jesus_n christ_n one_o with_o another_o they_o be_v member_n one_o of_o another_o and_o therein_o shall_v endeavour_v first_o to_o prove_v and_o clear_v it_o and_o then_o hasten_v appoint_v in_o this_o mystical_a body_n as_o well_o as_o in_o our_o natural_a body_n to_o have_v the_o more_o honour_n put_v upon_o they_o and_o so_o in_o that_o other_o forementioned_a place_n the_o four_o of_o the_o ephesian_n where_o he_o say_v that_o the_o whole_a body_n be_v join_v together_o by_o that_o that_o every_o joint_n supply_v etc._n etc._n there_o be_v not_o the_o least_o joint_n but_o it_o make_v for_o the_o supply_n for_o the_o edification_n of_o the_o whole_a to_o these_o may_v be_v add_v all_o those_o place_n which_o speak_v of_o the_o church_n as_o one_o corporation_n or_o body_n under_o other_o resemblance_n one_o vine_n one_o house_n one_o city_n etc._n etc._n whereof_o very_a many_o do_v occur_v in_o the_o holy_a scripture_n but_o all_o these_o thing_n will_v head_n have_v the_o quicken_a spirit_n of_o christ_n in_o they_o and_o the_o grace_n of_o love_n wrought_v in_o they_o which_o note_n be_v invisible_a and_o not_o external_a and_o can_v be_v know_v only_o in_o our_o own_o conscience_n if_o this_o be_v want_v let_v man_n carry_v themselves_o never_o so_o well_o so_o that_o all_o the_o people_n of_o christ_n under_o heaven_n shall_v own_v they_o yet_o jesus_n christ_n own_v they_o not_o and_o you_o may_v true_o say_v that_o all_o they_o who_o have_v not_o communion_n with_o god_n the_o father_n 3._o and_o the_o lord_n jesus_n and_o his_o holy_a spirit_n have_v no_o real_a communion_n with_o the_o saint_n therefore_o let_v no_o man_n rest_n or_o pride_n himself_o in_o be_v join_v in_o this_o or_o that_o church-fellowship_n a_o carnal_a or_o unconverted_a man_n whatsoever_o his_o outward_a shape_n
or_o mould_n be_v in_o his_o profession_n that_o man_n for_o his_o spiritual_a stand_n belong_v to_o another_o corporation_n there_o be_v two_o great_a spiritual_a corporation_n the_o one_o be_v that_o wheâ—eof_o christ_n be_v the_o head_n the_o other_o be_v the_o corporation_n of_o hell_n whereof_o the_o devil_n be_v the_o prince_n now_o all_o man_n let_v they_o be_v of_o what_o profession_n they_o will_v if_o they_o be_v not_o under_o christ_n the_o head_n they_o belong_v to_o another_o corporation_n and_o their_o external_a visible_a profession_n alter_v not_o their_o spiritual_a relation_n a_o lump_n of_o lead_n whilst_o it_o be_v in_o the_o lump_n it_o be_v a_o lump_n of_o base_a metal_n call_v lead_n melt_v this_o and_o mould_v it_o into_o the_o form_n of_o a_o beast_n what_o be_v it_o then_o it_o be_v but_o a_o leaden_a beast_n melt_v it_o and_o mould_v it_o again_o into_o the_o form_n of_o a_o man_n it_o be_v but_o a_o leaden_a man_n melt_v it_o and_o mould_v it_o again_o into_o the_o form_n of_o a_o angel_n it_o be_v but_o a_o leaden_a angel_n so_o i_o say_v take_v a_o carnal_a man_n a_o unregenerate_a man_n he_o be_v a_o carnal_a man_n whilst_o he_o profess_v no_o religion_n suppose_v he_o then_o to_o profess_v himself_o a_o protestant_n at_o large_a he_o be_v but_o a_o carnal_a protestant_n suppose_v he_o next_o to_o join_v himself_o into_o some_o church_n order_n let_v he_o join_v with_o those_o that_o be_v call_v of_o the_o presbyterian_a way_n he_o be_v a_o carnal_a presbyterian_a take_v he_o off_o from_o that_o put_v he_o into_o the_o congregational_a way_n what_o be_v he_o then_o a_o carnal_a congregational_a man_n join_v he_o next_o if_o you_o will_v to_o those_o who_o deny_v our_o baptism_n he_o be_v then_o but_o a_o carnal_a anabaptist_n he_o be_v still_o a_o carnal_a a_o ungodly_a man_n belong_v to_o the_o corporation_n of_o satan_n whatsoever_o his_o outside_n be_v and_o know_v you_o all_o for_o certain_a that_o no_o bastard_n no_o gibeonite_n no_o hypocrite_n no_o man_n unconverted_a what_o gift_n soever_o he_o may_v have_v what_o reputation_n soever_o he_o may_v have_v among_o man_n he_o be_v no_o member_n of_o the_o church_n of_o christ_n unless_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n be_v in_o he_o i_o say_v therefore_o again_o bear_v not_o your_o self_n too_o much_o upon_o your_o visible_a church-standing_n as_o too_o many_o do_v believe_v it_o it_o be_v a_o easy_a thing_n for_o the_o child_n of_o the_o world_n to_o put_v on_o a_o outward_a form_n of_o church-communion_n but_o o_o how_o hard_o be_v it_o to_o become_v a_o new_a creature_n to_o resign_v up_o itself_o whole_o to_o jesus_n christ_n and_o the_o guidance_n of_o his_o holy_a spirit_n and_o i_o press_v this_o the_o more_o upon_o this_o account_n also_o viz._n be_v this_o well_o understand_v it_o will_v satisfy_v and_o cure_v the_o mistake_n of_o many_o who_o think_v that_o there_o be_v the_o same_o rule_n to_o direct_v we_o with_o who_o we_o must_v exercise_v our_o external_a communion_n as_o there_o be_v to_o judge_v with_o who_o jesus_n christ_n exercise_v his_o communion_n no_o no_o we_o may_v exercise_v outward_a act_n of_o communion_n by_o the_o appointment_n of_o god_n with_o those_o unto_o who_o jesus_n christ_n never_o communicate_v himself_o nor_o his_o spirit_n three_o one_o instruction_n more_o which_o i_o do_v but_o name_n from_o all_o this_o member_n that_o the_o church_n of_o christ_n be_v but_o one_o body_n it_o follow_v plain_o that_o therefore_o among_o all_o the_o great_a multitude_n of_o the_o member_n of_o the_o church_n they_o be_v the_o honourable_a and_o noble_a member_n who_o be_v most_o useful_a for_o the_o common_a good_a of_o the_o church_n as_o it_o be_v in_o a_o natural_a body_n the_o liver_n that_o make_v blood_n for_o all_o the_o body_n the_o heart_n that_o make_v spirit_n for_o all_o the_o body_n the_o stomach_n that_o digest_v meat_n for_o all_o the_o body_n and_o the_o eye_n which_o see_v for_o the_o whole_a body_n etc._n etc._n these_o be_v count_v the_o noble_a and_o excellent_a so_o among_o all_o christian_n the_o man_n or_o man_n who_o be_v most_o useful_a best_a fit_v for_o use_n and_o lay_v out_o for_o use_n these_o will_n one_o day_n be_v find_v and_o acknowledge_v the_o honourable_a member_n of_o the_o church_n of_o christ_n what_o esteem_v soever_o the_o world_n have_v of_o they_o but_o the_o main_a use_n exhortation_n which_o i_o purpose_n and_o which_o indeed_o we_o most_o need_v be_v to_o show_v what_o duty_n do_v arise_v from_o this_o unity_n of_o the_o saint_n in_o one_o body_n 25._o and_o they_o be_v two_o which_o the_o apostle_n paul_n lay_v down_o in_o the_o first_o of_o the_o corinthian_n the_o twelve_o chap._n vers._n 25._o that_o there_o shall_v be_v no_o schism_n in_o the_o body_n second_o that_o therefore_o all_o the_o member_n ought_v to_o have_v the_o like_a care_n one_o of_o another_o the_o first_o of_o these_o i_o purpose_v with_o the_o lord_n assistance_n to_o speak_v somewhat_o to_o at_o this_o time_n because_o all_o the_o church_n the_o saint_n the_o people_n of_o god_n in_o all_o the_o world_n be_v but_o one_o body_n therefore_o rent_n and_o division_n be_v most_o unnatural_a and_o destructive_a to_o it_o i_o hope_v you_o will_v all_o judge_v it_o a_o necessary_a and_o seasonable_a theme_n it_o be_v almost_o our_o epidemical_a disease_n we_o be_v rend_v and_o tear_v into_o multitude_n of_o sect_n and_o division_n which_o this_o doctrine_n of_o the_o unity_n of_o the_o church_n of_o christ_n do_v utter_o condemn_v and_o therefore_o though_o i_o know_v it_o be_v a_o unpleasing_a subject_n and_o possible_o many_o may_v give_v i_o small_a thanks_o for_o it_o yet_o true_o i_o dare_v not_o be_v call_v to_o this_o place_n but_o cast_v in_o my_o mite_n towards_o the_o heal_n of_o this_o woeful_a distemper_n and_o three_o thing_n i_o shall_v endeavour_v to_o clear_v about_o it_o first_o be_v what_o schism_n be_v and_o what_o be_v the_o nature_n of_o it_o second_o the_o greatness_n of_o it_o what_o a_o horrible_a sin_n it_o be_v and_o three_o and_o principal_o i_o will_v labour_v to_o show_v you_o who_o they_o be_v that_o be_v guilty_a of_o it_o for_o the_o first_o what_o it_o be_v it_o be_v usual_o define_v to_o be_v a_o rash_a or_o unjust_a separation_n in_o matter_n of_o religion_n but_o i_o will_v rather_o describe_v it_o to_o be_v a_o rent_v violate_v dissolve_v or_o break_v of_o that_o unity_n which_o ought_v to_o be_v among_o christian_n or_o among_o all_o the_o saint_n of_o christ_n and_o this_o rend_n or_o break_v of_o this_o union_n proper_o lie_v in_o two_o thing_n one_o be_v inward_a and_o that_o be_v dissolve_v or_o break_v the_o band_n or_o band_n which_o the_o lord_n have_v give_v to_o tie_v they_o all_o together_o which_o band_n on_o our_o part_n as_o you_o have_v hear_v before_o be_v the_o grace_n of_o love_n and_o therefore_o the_o break_n off_o of_o love_n among_o christian_n whether_o it_o be_v from_o all_o the_o church_n or_o from_o a_o particular_a church_n yea_o or_o from_o a_o particular_a man_n i_o say_v the_o dissolve_v or_o break_v of_o this_o spiritual_a band_n have_v in_o it_o the_o very_a intrinsical_a nature_n of_o the_o sin_n of_o schism_n the_o lord_n have_v appoint_v that_o grace_n to_o be_v the_o band_n to_o tie_v his_o people_n together_o but_o because_o the_o inward_a band_n be_v invisible_a and_o therefore_o not_o easy_a to_o judge_v of_o therefore_o there_o be_v a_o second_o thing_n in_o schism_n and_o that_o be_v a_o deny_v or_o withdraw_a from_o the_o exercise_n of_o those_o thing_n which_o christ_n have_v give_v as_o the_o symbol_n or_o pledge_n of_o love_n among_o his_o people_n as_o converse_v together_o pray_v together_o hear_v together_o confer_v together_o receive_v sacrament_n and_o the_o like_a together_o the_o withdraw_n from_o these_o or_o the_o deny_n of_o these_o otherwise_o than_o jesus_n christ_n direct_v in_o his_o word_n these_o thing_n be_v visible_a and_o therefore_o divine_v use_n to_o appropriate_v the_o name_n of_o schism_n to_o such_o withdrawing_n or_o deny_n which_o indeed_o be_v but_o the_o fruit_n of_o the_o other_o for_o the_o dissolve_n of_o the_o band_n of_o love_n be_v the_o root_n of_o the_o disease_n and_o the_o deny_n of_o the_o expression_n and_o exercise_v of_o love_n be_v the_o bitter_a fruit_n grow_v from_o that_o evil_a root_n so_o then_o he_o or_o they_o who_o ever_o they_o be_v that_o do_v deny_v to_o exercise_v or_o withdraw_v from_o the_o exercise_n of_o those_o thing_n
