his_o mind_n with_o worldly_a ear_n and_o business_n of_o this_o life_n that_o will_v leave_v no_o room_n for_o spiritual_a instruction_n to_o enter_v in_o and_o if_o any_o of_o we_o do_v find_v that_o by_o these_o or_o any_o other_o such_o occasion_n we_o be_v hinder_v in_o our_o hear_n we_o must_v forbear_v drink_v of_o wine_n and_o feed_v to_o the_o full_a and_o delight_v in_o carnal_a sport_n &_o cumbr_v ourselves_o with_o worldly_a care_n and_o what_o soever_o else_o may_v breed_v either_o drowsiness_n or_o distraction_n else_o it_o will_v be_v impossible_a that_o we_o shall_v hear_v with_o attention_n and_o as_o impossible_a that_o we_o shall_v profit_v without_o it_o 4._o it_o will_v be_v a_o help_n to_o our_o hear_n if_o while_o we_o be_v about_o that_o work_n we_o do_v ever_o and_o anon_o reflect_v upon_o ourselves_o and_o consider_v what_o thought_n do_v then_o lodge_v within_o we_o and_o if_o we_o find_v distraction_n to_o divert_v we_o we_o shall_v blame_v our_o untoward_a heart_n bewail_v our_o corruption_n and_o recall_v the_o mind_n to_o his_o business_n again_o this_o will_v help_v we_o against_o distraction_n because_o our_o heart_n will_v learn_v by_o often_o check_v to_o be_v the_o more_o watchful_a and_o we_o by_o condemn_v ourselves_o for_o our_o neglect_n of_o god_n and_o our_o own_o good_a shall_v be_v make_v the_o more_o wary_a of_o offend_v any_o more_o even_o as_o a_o traveller_n that_o have_v miss_v his_o way_n through_o heedlessenes_n will_v be_v the_o more_o careful_a afterward_o to_o observe_v every_o turn_n and_o to_o avoid_v every_o by-waie_n that_o may_v mislead_v he_o these_o rule_v i_o have_v think_v not_o unfit_a for_o this_o purpose_n if_o any_o man_n have_v those_o that_o be_v better_o he_o may_v leave_v these_o at_o his_o pleasure_n and_o make_v use_n of_o that_o which_o may_v do_v he_o more_o good_a ii_o the_o next_o virtue_n to_o be_v exercise_v in_o the_o time_n of_o our_o hear_n be_v due_a reverence_n to_o god_n and_o his_o holy_a word_n solomon_n require_v it_o of_o we_o in_o our_o prayer_n and_o praise_n of_o god_n when_o say_v he_o thou_o go_v to_o the_o house_n of_o god_n be_v not_o rash_a with_o thy_o mouth_n and_o let_v not_o thy_o heart_n be_v hasty_a to_o utter_v any_o thing_n before_o god_n for_o god_n be_v in_o heaven_n and_o thou_o upon_o earth_n therefore_o let_v thy_o word_n
