only_o so_o but_o it_o be_v a_o black_a stony_a heart_n defile_v with_o ignorance_n blindness_n darkness_n and_o unbelief_n so_o that_o the_o heart_n be_v compass_v about_o and_o cover_v with_o the_o fear_n of_o hell_n and_o torment_v of_o soul_n and_o now_o this_o black_a or_o red_a stony_a heart_n it_o be_v purify_v by_o faith_n in_o the_o blood_n of_o the_o lamb._n it_o have_v a_o new_a law_n write_v in_o it_o that_o be_v the_o law_n of_o faith_n and_o so_o cause_v man_n to_o walk_v in_o god_n statute_n which_o statute_n of_o god_n be_v to_o believe_v those_o who_o he_o send_v and_o that_o faith_n will_v purify_v the_o heart_n of_o that_o ignorance_n darkness_n and_o unbelief_n so_o that_o in_o spiritual_a matter_n the_o heart_n of_o man_n will_v become_v a_o white_a stone_n it_o be_v call_v a_o white_a stone_n because_o it_o be_v cleanse_v from_o those_o thing_n aforesaid_a and_o make_v white_a by_o faith_n in_o the_o blood_n of_o the_o lamb._n so_o that_o this_o white_a stone_n be_v no_o other_o but_o a_o new_a heart_n or_o the_o old_a heart_n make_v new_a by_o the_o power_n of_o faith_n and_o as_o for_o the_o new_a name_n that_o be_v write_v in_o this_o white_a stone_n this_o new_a name_n be_v a_o secret_a knowledge_n and_o assurance_n that_o he_o be_v one_o of_o the_o redeem_v of_o god_n so_o that_o he_o have_v the_o name_n of_o the_o second_o adam_n write_v in_o his_o heart_n even_o as_o all_o man_n have_v the_o name_n of_o the_o first_o adam_n write_v in_o their_o heart_n because_o all_o man_n be_v in_o the_o fall_v state_n by_o nature_n child_n of_o wrath_n and_o so_o every_o man_n can_v read_v his_o name_n in_o that_o he_o can_v read_v it_o in_o his_o own_o heart_n they_o all_o be_v under_o the_o name_n of_o the_o first_o adam_n but_o the_o name_n of_o this_o second_o adam_n which_o be_v call_v a_o new_a name_n which_o none_o know_v save_v he_o that_o receive_v it_o this_o experience_n will_v witness_v that_o no_o man_n can_v know_v that_o secret_a knowledge_n and_o assurance_n of_o his_o own_o redemption_n by_o the_o second_o adam_n but_o he_o that_o have_v it_o write_v in_o he_o by_o the_o finger_n of_o faith_n so_o that_o all_o that_o do_v receive_v this_o white_a stone_n they_o have_v this_o new_a name_n write_v in_o it_o which_o they_o themselves_o can_v read_v to_o their_o eternal_a joy_n and_o glory_n though_o other_o can_v who_o have_v it_o not_o 4._o he_o that_o overcome_v and_o keep_v my_o work_n unto_o the_o end_n to_o he_o will_v i_o give_v power_n over_o the_o nation_n and_o he_o shall_v rule_v they_o with_o a_o rod_n of_o iron_n
suffering_n for_o truth_n he_o come_v to_o have_v the_o witness_n in_o himself_o that_o his_o name_n be_v write_v in_o the_o book_n of_o life_n and_o that_o his_o name_n shall_v not_o be_v blot_v out_o no_o not_o by_o god_n himself_o 6._o he_o that_o overcome_v will_v i_o make_v a_o pillar_n in_o the_o temple_n of_o my_o god_n and_o he_o shall_v go_v no_o more_o out_o and_o i_o will_v write_v upon_o he_o the_o name_n of_o my_o god_n and_o the_o name_n of_o the_o city_n of_o my_o god_n which_o be_v new_a jerusalem_n which_o come_v down_o out_o of_o heaven_n from_o my_o god_n and_o i_o will_v write_v upon_o he_o my_o new_a name_n this_o pillar_n in_o the_o temple_n of_o god_n it_o signify_v the_o great_a strength_n of_o faith_n and_o patience_n that_o be_v in_o the_o church_n of_o philadelphia_n so_o that_o their_o great_a faith_n shall_v enable_v they_o to_o suffer_v with_o such_o patience_n that_o they_o shall_v become_v a_o pillar_n in_o the_o temple_n of_o god_n that_o be_v their_o faith_n shall_v be_v as_o a_o pillar_n to_o encourage_v and_o strengthen_v and_o bear_v up_o those_o that_o be_v more_o weak_a in_o faith_n and_o more_o fearful_a to_o suffer_v but_o he_o that_o overcome_v shall_v be_v as_o a_o pillar_n to_o bear_v up_o the_o weak_a even_o as_o a_o pillar_n of_o a_o church_n of_o stone_n do_v bear_v up_o the_o building_n that_o stand_v upon_o it_o for_o the_o temple_n of_o god_n be_v no_o other_o but_o true_a believer_n they_o be_v call_v by_o the_o spirit_n the_o temple_n of_o god_n and_o he_o that_o be_v strong_a in_o faith_n and_o do_v overcome_v all_o persecution_n by_o patient_a suffering_n for_o his_o faith_n in_o god_n he_o shall_v be_v make_v a_o pillar_n to_o help_v bear_v up_o the_o church_n of_o god_n and_o he_o shall_v go_v no_o more_o out_o that_o be_v he_o shall_v go_v no_o more_o out_o from_o be_v a_o pillar_n but_o he_o shall_v be_v esteem_v of_o god_n a_o stand_a pillar_n in_o his_o temple_n to_o all_o eternity_n so_o that_o god_n will_v write_v upon_o he_o his_o own_o name_n and_o the_o name_n of_o the_o city_n of_o god_n the_o name_n of_o god_n be_v to_o be_v a_o king_n priest_n and_o prophet_n so_o that_o he_o that_o overcome_v as_o aforesaid_a shall_v have_v this_o name_n write_v upon_o his_o heart_n king_n priest_n and_o prophet_n unto_o god_n and_o as_o for_o the_o name_n of_o the_o city_n of_o god_n new_a jerusalem_n which_o come_v down_o out_o of_o heaven_n from_o god_n which_o new_a jerusalem_n i_o have_v open_v what_o it_o be_v in_o the_o interpretation_n of_o the_o eleven_o of_o the_o revelation_n and_o as_o for_o the_o new_a name_n god_n will_v write_v upon_o he_o i_o have_v show_v what_o it_o be_v before_o 7._o to_o he_o that_o overcome_v will_v i_o grant_v to_o sit_v with_o i_o in_o my_o throne_n even_o as_o i_o also_o overcome_v and_o be_o sit_v down_o with_o my_o father_n in_o his_o throne_n here_o the_o reader_n may_v see_v what_o the_o spirit_n do_v mean_a by_o overcome_v that_o be_v he_o overcome_v sin_n death_n and_o hell_n within_o himself_o these_o be_v principality_n and_o power_n within_o a_o man_n also_o he_o overcome_v all_o persecution_n and_o the_o malice_n of_o the_o devil_n the_o spirit_n of_o reason_n without_o a_o man_n these_o thing_n i_o say_v be_v overcome_v by_o the_o power_n of_o faith_n in_o suffer_v patient_o for_o truth_n as_o aforesaid_a for_o this_o be_v the_o way_n that_o christ_n do_v overcome_v all_o his_o enemy_n and_o when_o he_o have_v overcome_v by_o his_o death_n sin_n in_o that_o he_o die_v unto_o sin_n and_o he_o overcome_v death_n in_o that_o he_o be_v death_n death_n also_o he_o overcome_v hell_n in_o that_o the_o grave_n be_v not_o able_a to_o hold_v he_o under_o therefore_o it_o be_v say_v by_o the_o spirit_n oh_o death_n i_o will_v be_v thy_o death_n oh_o grave_n i_o will_v be_v thy_o victory_n also_o he_o overcome_v by_o his_o suffering_n the_o spirit_n of_o reason_n the_o devil_n who_o always_o persecute_v the_o prophet_n and_o saint_n i_o say_v he_o overcome_v by_o his_o death_n this_o spirit_n of_o reason_n the_o devil_n in_o that_o he_o have_v procure_v by_o his_o death_n a_o eternal_a damnation_n to_o all_o persecute_v spirit_n so_o that_o he_o have_v overcome_v they_o and_o will_v kill_v they_o with_o a_o second_o death_n where_o will_v be_v weep_v and_o gnash_n of_o tooth_n for_o evermore_o and_o he_o overcome_v these_o enemy_n aforesaid_a he_o be_v sit_v down_o in_o the_o throne_n of_o the_o father_n that_o be_v he_o be_v sit_v down_o in_o the_o same_o glory_n as_o he_o have_v when_o he_o be_v the_o creator_n or_o the_o same_o glory_n which_o he_o have_v before_o the_o world_n be_v even_o so_o in_o like_a manner_n shall_v every_o prophet_n apostle_n and_o saint_n that_o overcome_v those_o enemy_n aforesaid_a by_o the_o power_n of_o his_o faith_n and_o his_o patient_a suffering_n for_o truth_n to_o he_o will_v christ_n grant_v to_o sit_v with_o he_o in_o his_o throne_n that_o be_v he_o shall_v sit_v with_o christ_n or_o be_v with_o christ_n in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o eternal_a glory_n even_o as_o he_o himself_o after_o his_o suffering_n be_v sit_v down_o in_o the_o kingdom_n which_o he_o have_v before_o the_o world_n be_v which_o be_v call_v by_o the_o spirit_n the_o throne_n of_o the_o father_n in_o relation_n to_o that_o twofold_a condition_n in_o god_n as_o i_o have_v show_v in_o this_o treatise_n follow_v thus_o in_o short_a i_o have_v give_v the_o interpretation_n what_o be_v mean_v by_o those_o seven_o several_a blessing_n give_v by_o the_o spirit_n to_o the_o seven_o church_n of_o asia_n and_o how_o they_o all_o differ_v one_o from_o another_o and_o yet_o all_o have_v relation_n to_o one_o and_o the_o same_o thing_n even_o to_o eternal_a happiness_n joy_n and_o glory_n in_o the_o presence_n of_o almighty_a god_n their_o god_n their_o king_n and_o redemeer_n chap._n iu._n i_o will_v have_v the_o seed_n of_o faith_n also_o to_o understand_v that_o christ_n the_o only_a god_n be_v he_o which_o do_v send_v forth_o these_o seven_o spirit_n unto_o the_o seven_o church_n therefore_o call_v by_o the_o revelation_n of_o john_n the_o seven_o spirit_n which_o be_v before_o his_o throne_n the_o seven_o spitit_n i_o declare_v by_o revelation_n that_o they_o be_v but_o one_o spirit_n even_o the_o spirit_n of_o jesus_n christ_n the_o only_a wise_a god_n bless_v for_o ever_o and_o ever_o only_o this_o i_o will_v have_v the_o seed_n of_o faith_n to_o understand_v that_o this_o one_o spirit_n of_o christ_n it_o have_v seven_o several_a operation_n or_o working_n in_o the_o seven_o church_n therefore_o call_v by_o the_o revelation_n of_o john_n seven_o spirit_n before_o the_o throne_n therefore_o you_o may_v read_v that_o john_n in_o his_o writing_n to_o the_o seven_o church_n of_o asia_n give_v seven_o several_a blessing_n as_o aforesaid_a so_o likewise_o he_o come_v with_o his_o message_n to_o the_o seven_o church_n with_o seven_o several_a title_n and_o yet_o all_o from_o one_o god_n and_o one_o spirit_n as_o thus_o first_o he_o write_v to_o the_o church_n of_o ephesus_n with_o this_o title_n say_v he_o that_o hold_v the_o seven_o star_n in_o his_o right_a hand_n who_o walk_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o seven_o golden_a candlestick_n these_o golden_a candlestick_n be_v the_o seven_o church_n be_v there_o any_o spirit_n that_o can_v walk_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o heart_n of_o the_o seven_o church_n but_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n which_o be_v god_n sure_o no._n second_o john_n write_v to_o the_o church_n of_o smirna_n these_o thing_n say_v the_o first_o and_o the_o last_o which_o be_v dead_a and_o be_v alive_a be_v not_o jesus_n christ_n the_o first_o and_o the_o last_o be_v not_o he_o dead_a and_o rose_n again_o and_o so_o be_v alive_a sure_o it_o be_v this_o be_v the_o say_v of_o john_n and_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o apostle_n and_o it_o be_v my_o faith_n also_o three_o john_n write_v these_o thing_n unto_o the_o church_n in_o pergamos_n say_v he_o who_o have_v the_o sharp_a sword_n with_o two_o edge_n this_o sword_n with_o two_o edge_n it_o come_v out_o of_o christ_n mouth_n i_o suppose_v all_o man_n that_o profess_v the_o scripture_n will_v confess_v it_o four_o unto_o the_o church_n in_o thyatira_n he_o write_v these_o thing_n say_v the_o son_n of_o god_n who_o have_v his_o eye_n like_v unto_o a_o flame_n of_o fire_n and_o his_o foot_n be_v like_o fine_a brass_n here_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n give_v himself_o forth_o under_o the_o title_n of_o his_o sonship_n but_o to_o the_o former_a church_n he_o give_v himself_o forth_o under_o the_o title_n of_o the_o fatherhood_n yet_o under_o the_o title_n
nobility_n have_v crown_n of_o gold_n upon_o their_o headâ—_n though_o not_o so_o absolute_a crown_n of_o gold_n as_o the_o king_n himself_o yet_o they_o have_v a_o resemblance_n and_o likeness_n of_o crown_n signify_v that_o they_o be_v of_o the_o blood_n royal._n so_o be_v it_o in_o heaven_n the_o four_o and_o twenty_o elder_n be_v of_o the_o blood_n royal_a coheir_n unto_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n they_o have_v seat_n to_o sit_v upon_o round_a about_o the_o king_n throne_n and_o as_o for_o the_o four_o and_o twenty_o elder_n what_o they_o be_v i_o have_v open_v at_o large_a in_o the_o interpretation_n of_o the_o eleven_o of_o the_o revelation_n therefore_o i_o shall_v not_o speak_v of_o they_o here_o but_o as_o for_o their_o be_v clothe_v in_o white_a raiment_n the_o meaning_n of_o that_o be_v this_o they_o be_v clothe_v in_o their_o mind_n while_o they_o live_v in_o this_o world_n with_o the_o righteousness_n of_o faith_n which_o purify_v the_o â—eart_n and_o not_o by_o the_o etc._n and_o in_o the_o 5_o verse_n it_o be_v say_v that_o there_o be_v seven_o lamp_n of_o fire_n burn_v before_o the_o throne_n which_o be_v the_o seven_o spirit_n of_o god_n the_o meaning_n of_o those_o seven_o lamp_n which_o burn_v before_o the_o throne_n i_o declare_v they_o be_v the_o seven_o church_n of_o asia_n that_o be_v the_o soul_n of_o the_o true_a believer_n which_o be_v of_o the_o seven_o church_n of_o asia_n be_v those_o seven_o lamp_n which_o burn_v before_o the_o throne_n and_o the_o seven_o spirit_n of_o god_n be_v those_o several_a gift_n of_o grace_n which_o he_o give_v to_o the_o seven_o church_n of_o asia_n as_o aforesaid_a and_o that_o grace_n of_o faith_n and_o love_n which_o god_n give_v to_o the_o seven_o church_n of_o asia_n it_o burn_v in_o the_o lamp_n of_o their_o soul_n before_o the_o throne_n of_o god_n to_o eternity_n for_o every_o soul_n be_v a_o lamp_n for_o the_o fire_n of_o god_n love_n to_o burn_v in_o if_o there_o be_v but_o oil_n in_o your_o lamp_n that_o be_v if_o there_o be_v but_o faith_n in_o the_o heart_n it_o will_v be_v a_o glorious_a place_n for_o the_o candle_n of_o the_o lord_n which_o be_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n to_o burn_v in_o and_o happy_a will_v that_o man_n be_v that_o have_v his_o lamp_n burn_v before_o the_o throne_n of_o god_n as_o these_o seven_o church_n of_o asia_n shall_v for_o this_o i_o will_v have_v the_o seed_n of_o faith_n to_o understand_v that_o john_n speak_v of_o thing_n to_o come_v as_o if_o they_o be_v in_o present_a be_v for_o vision_n and_o revelation_n speak_v of_o thing_n at_o a_o distance_n as_o if_o they_o be_v in_o present_a sight_n because_o god_n and_o faith_n know_v that_o time_n will_v be_v swallow_v up_o into_o eternity_n therefore_o it_o be_v that_o john_n do_v say_v in_o his_o vision_n that_o he_o see_v such_o and_o such_o thing_n already_o when_o as_o the_o thing_n which_o he_o speak_v that_o he_o see_v be_v not_o accomplish_v at_o that_o time_n nor_o many_o of_o they_o not_o as_o yet_o but_o however_o they_o will_v be_v accomplish_v because_o god_n be_v truth_n and_o will_v not_o frustrate_v the_o faith_n of_o his_o prophet_n apostle_n and_o saint_n but_o according_a to_o their_o faith_n it_o shall_v be_v unto_o they_o so_o much_o concern_v the_o seven_o lamp_n and_o the_o seven_o spirit_n of_o god_n i_o suppose_v the_o seed_n of_o faith_n may_v the_o midst_n of_o the_o throne_n and_o round_o about_o the_o throne_n be_v four_o beast_n full_a of_o eye_n before_o and_o behind_o here_o you_o that_o have_v faith_n may_v see_v that_o there_o be_v in_o heaven_n above_o the_o star_n a_o crystal_n sea_n like_o unto_o glass_n or_o a_o sea_n of_o glass_n like_o unto_o crystal_n that_o be_v the_o glorious_a water_n or_o sea_n above_o the_o star_n be_v set_v forth_o by_o those_o thing_n which_o be_v most_o pure_a and_o most_o esteem_v of_o by_o the_o reason_n of_o man_n here_o in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o this_o world_n but_o as_o certain_a as_o there_o be_v a_o sea_n and_o water_n in_o this_o world_n else_o the_o creature_n therein_o can_v not_o live_v so_o likewise_o there_o be_v a_o sea_n and_o water_n above_o the_o star_n though_o of_o another_o nature_n differ_v from_o this_o here_o below_o yet_o they_o be_v real_a substance_n as_o these_o be_v but_o because_o mortal_a man_n can_v declare_v nor_o make_v know_v the_o nature_n and_o substance_n of_o they_o neither_o can_v mortal_a man_n understand_v it_o if_o it_o can_v be_v declare_v therefore_o the_o revelation_n of_o john_n call_v it_o a_o sea_n of_o glass_n like_o unto_o crystal_n because_o crystal_n be_v high_o esteem_v of_o by_o the_o reason_n of_o man_n but_o however_o it_o be_v for_o certain_a that_o there_o be_v a_o sea_n and_o water_n above_o the_o star_n let_v it_o be_v like_o what_o it_o will_n for_o this_o i_o will_v have_v the_o reader_n to_o understand_v that_o the_o thing_n which_o be_v be_v not_o make_v of_o thing_n which_o do_v appear_v according_a to_o paul_n word_n then_o of_o necessity_n they_o must_v be_v make_v of_o thing_n that_o do_v not_o appear_v that_o be_v of_o thing_n above_o the_o star_n from_o whence_o the_o original_a of_o all_o life_n come_v but_o in_o what_o condition_n thing_n be_v and_o be_v in_o there_o in_o heaven_n no_o man_n can_v tell_v but_o by_o faith_n therefore_o if_o the_o revelation_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o faith_n will_v call_v the_o water_n above_o the_o star_n a_o sea_n of_o glass_n like_o unto_o crystal_n who_o shall_v gainsay_v it_o neither_o be_v it_o to_o be_v look_v upon_o as_o a_o allegory_n as_o many_o do_v vain_o imagine_v but_o a_o real_a spiritual_a substance_n for_o this_o must_v be_v understand_v by_o the_o reader_n that_o god_n create_v or_o make_v all_o creature_n of_o something_o he_o have_v matter_n and_o substance_n to_o make_v every_o creature_n of_o he_o do_v not_o make_v live_v substance_n of_o a_o allegory_n that_o be_v as_o if_o we_o shall_v say_v god_n make_v all_o thing_n of_o nothing_o for_o a_o allegory_n be_v nothing_o and_o of_o nothing_o come_v nothing_o yet_o the_o vain_a imagination_n of_o wise_a and_o learned_a man_n have_v not_o be_v ashamed_a to_o say_v that_o god_n make_v this_o world_n of_o nothing_o but_o i_o shall_v let_v that_o pass_v again_o what_o shall_v be_v the_o meaning_n of_o the_o four_o beast_n full_a of_o eye_n before_o and_o behind_o these_o four_o beast_n which_o john_n see_v in_o his_o vision_n in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o throne_n and_o round_o about_o the_o throne_n i_o declare_v they_o be_v four_o good_a beast_n that_o be_v they_o be_v four_o good_a king_n and_o if_o there_o be_v four_o thousand_o good_a king_n yet_o they_o be_v all_o reckon_v but_o into_o four_o all_o good_a king_n be_v include_v in_o these_o four_o these_o four_o beast_n do_v signify_v the_o four_o monarchy_n that_o be_v all_o the_o good_a king_n that_o act_v well_o and_o have_v faith_n in_o the_o true_a god_n under_o the_o four_o monarchy_n be_v call_v by_o the_o revelation_n of_o john_n the_o four_o beast_n full_a of_o eye_n before_o and_o behind_o now_o what_o particular_a person_n these_o four_o beast_n be_v the_o revelation_n of_o john_n give_v no_o light_n into_o but_o this_o i_o say_v that_o king_n david_n be_v one_o of_o these_o four_o beast_n he_o be_v the_o first_o beast_n that_o be_v like_o a_o lion_n he_o be_v of_o the_o tribe_n of_o judah_n from_o whence_o the_o sceptre_n shall_v not_o depart_v until_o shiloh_n come_v this_o shiloh_n be_v christ_n the_o root_n of_o david_n he_o be_v call_v the_o death_n can_v not_o keep_v he_o under_o as_o aforesaid_a but_o in_o the_o 5_o chapter_n the_o four_o and_o twenty_o elder_n give_v glory_n unto_o this_o christ_n the_o only_a god_n as_o he_o be_v a_o son_n and_o have_v redeem_v they_o and_o so_o do_v the_o four_o beast_n also_o and_o as_o for_o the_o four_o and_o twenty_o elder_n i_o shall_v say_v nothing_o of_o they_o here_o because_o i_o have_v speak_v of_o they_o in_o the_o interpretation_n of_o the_o 11_o chapter_n of_o the_o revelation_n so_o i_o have_v give_v the_o interpretation_n of_o the_o chief_a thing_n in_o the_o four_o chapter_n of_o john_n revelation_n i_o shall_v go_v unto_o the_o first_o chapter_n and_o give_v the_o interpretation_n of_o the_o chief_a thing_n in_o that_o also_o chap._n xi_o in_o the_o first_o verse_n of_o the_o 5_o chapter_n john_n see_v in_o the_o right_a hand_n of_o he_o that_o sit_v on_o the_o throne_n a_o book_n write_v within_o and_o on_o the_o backside_n seal_v with_o seven_o seal_n why_o do_v john_n say_v he_o see_v in_o the_o right_a hand_n of_o he_o that_o sit_v upon_o the_o throne_n a_o book_n write_v within_o and_o seal_v on_o the_o backside_n with_o seven_o seal_n when_o as_o he_o that_o sit_v on_o the_o throne_n be_v no_o other_o but_o god_n the_o creator_n of_o all_o thing_n and_o jesus_n christ_n be_v he_o that_o create_v the_o world_n and_o all_o thing_n therein_o as_o aforesaid_a and_o yet_o he_o that_o have_v the_o book_n in_o his_o right_a hand_n be_v not_o to_o open_v the_o book_n nor_o to_o loose_v the_o seal_n thereof_o the_o meaning_n be_v this_o that_o christ_n jesus_n as_o he_o be_v god_n the_o father_n and_o creator_n of_o all_o thing_n it_o be_v not_o his_o proper_a place_n and_o work_v to_o open_v the_o book_n with_o seven_o seal_n for_o it_o do_v belong_v to_o he_o as_o he_o be_v god_n the_o redeemer_n for_o as_o i_o say_v before_o god_n do_v and_o do_v act_n according_a to_o the_o twofold_a state_n and_o condition_n he_o be_v in_o so_o that_o he_o have_v the_o book_n of_o life_n in_o his_o right_a hand_n as_o he_o be_v god_n the_o creator_n but_o as_o he_o be_v god_n the_o redeemer_n he_o must_v take_v the_o book_n out_o of_o his_o own_o right_a hand_n and_o open_v it_o and_o loose_v the_o seal_n thereof_o for_o john_n in_o his_o vision_n do_v see_v christ_n to_o sit_v upon_o the_o throne_n as_o he_o be_v god_n the_o father_n and_o the_o creator_n also_o in_o his_o vision_n he_o see_v christ_n sit_v upon_o the_o throne_n as_o he_o be_v god_n the_o son_n and_o as_o he_o suffer_v death_n and_o so_o redeem_v mankind_n and_o in_o like_a manner_n he_o and_o the_o elder_n give_v thanks_o and_o praise_n unto_o he_o as_o he_o be_v the_o creator_n and_o sometime_o they_o give_v thanks_o unto_o he_o all_o together_o as_o he_o be_v the_o redeemer_n yet_o all_o but_o one_o god_n however_o it_o do_v seem_v by_o john_n vision_n as_o if_o there_o be_v two_o when_o as_o it_o be_v speak_v with_o relation_n to_o a_o twofold_a state_n and_o condition_n in_o god_n but_o who_o can_v understand_v but_o the_o seed_n of_o faith_n therefore_o i_o will_v not_o have_v the_o seed_n of_o faith_n to_o stumble_v at_o these_o say_n of_o john_n which_o do_v here_o and_o there_o speak_v as_o if_o there_o be_v two_o go_n but_o consider_v he_o speak_v it_o but_o by_o way_n of_o vision_n and_o all_o vision_n can_v never_o be_v understand_v so_o clear_a and_o plain_a as_o interpretation_n be_v for_o i_o be_o certain_a that_o john_n do_v believe_v in_o no_o other_o god_n but_o one_o even_o jesus_n christ_n the_o only_a wise_a god_n bless_v for_o ever_o and_o ever_o though_o speak_v of_o with_o relation_n to_o a_o twofold_a condition_n as_o i_o have_v show_v before_o this_o book_n which_o be_v in_o christ_n right_a hand_n as_o he_o be_v god_n the_o father_n i_o declare_v it_o be_v the_o book_n of_o life_n wherein_o be_v write_v the_o name_n of_o all_o the_o elect_a seed_n of_o all_o the_o seven_o church_n of_o asia_n and_o of_o all_o the_o elect_a seed_n of_o the_o seven_o church_n of_o europe_n i_o say_v the_o elect_a seed_n be_v all_o write_v in_o that_o book_n of_o life_n which_o be_v in_o christ_n right_a hand_n and_o the_o seven_o seal_n on_o the_o backside_n of_o this_o book_n they_o be_v the_o seven_o visible_a church_n of_o asia_n that_o be_v they_o be_v seal_v up_o by_o the_o doctrine_n and_o faith_n of_o the_o gospel_n they_o receive_v the_o holy_a spirit_n of_o promise_n whereby_o they_o be_v seal_v in_o their_o soul_n with_o the_o holy_a spirit_n of_o promise_n that_o they_o be_v redeem_v unto_o eternal_a happiness_n by_o the_o blood_n of_o the_o lamb._n and_o this_o i_o say_v that_o the_o witness_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o faith_n in_o the_o conscience_n here_o in_o mortality_n it_o be_v but_o a_o seal_n up_o to_o the_o day_n of_o glory_n therefore_o what_o assurance_n witness_n or_o seal_v soever_o a_o man_n have_v in_o his_o soul_n in_o this_o life_n it_o be_v call_v by_o the_o revelation_n of_o john_n but_o a_o seal_n on_o the_o back_n side_n of_o the_o book_n of_o life_n for_o those_o seven_o church_n of_o asia_n be_v seal_v with_o the_o holy_a spirit_n of_o promise_n in_o that_o they_o believe_v the_o doctrine_n of_o christ_n death_n and_o resurrection_n and_o so_o they_o be_v seal_v in_o their_o heart_n with_o the_o assurance_n of_o eternal_a life_n their_o name_n be_v write_v within_o the_o book_n of_o life_n and_o because_o there_o be_v seven_o church_n of_o asia_n which_o do_v true_o believe_v and_o be_v seal_v in_o their_o soul_n with_o the_o assurance_n of_o everlasting_a life_n they_o be_v call_v seven_o seal_n on_o the_o backside_n of_o the_o book_n of_o life_n for_o all_o seal_n of_o this_o side_n of_o death_n it_o be_v call_v but_o seal_v on_o the_o backside_n of_o the_o book_n of_o life_n for_o it_o be_v much_o like_a unto_o a_o book_n or_o letter_n the_o matter_n and_o substance_n be_v within_o the_o letter_n or_o book_n but_o the_o seal_n be_v without_o or_o on_o the_o backside_n but_o he_o that_o break_v open_v the_o seal_n of_o the_o letter_n or_o book_n he_o see_v what_o be_v within_o so_o be_v it_o with_o christ_n he_o have_v the_o book_n of_o life_n in_o his_o right_a hand_n wherein_o the_o elect_a seed_n be_v write_v and_o the_o assurance_n of_o faith_n which_o the_o elect_a seed_n of_o the_o seven_o church_n of_o asia_n have_v and_o as_o other_o have_v be_v call_v the_o seven_o seal_n on_o the_o backside_n of_o the_o book_n of_o life_n which_o no_o man_n in_o heaven_n nor_o in_o earth_n can_v open_v the_o book_n nor_o loose_v the_o seal_n thereof_o but_o christ_n as_o he_o be_v god_n and_o redeemer_n you_o that_o have_v faith_n may_v see_v what_o be_v mean_v by_o the_o book_n and_o by_o the_o seven_o seal_n on_o the_o backside_n etc._n etc._n chap._n xii_o in_o the_o second_o verse_n john_n see_v a_o strong_a angel_n proclaim_v with_o a_o loud_a voice_n who_o be_v worthy_a to_o open_v the_o book_n and_o to_o loose_v the_o seal_v thereof_o and_o in_o the_o three_o verse_n and_o no_o man_n in_o heaven_n nor_o in_o earth_n neither_o under_o the_o earth_n be_v able_a to_o open_v the_o book_n neither_o to_o look_v thereon_o i_o shall_v pass_v by_o these_o two_o verse_n there_o be_v but_o little_a matter_n of_o concernment_n in_o they_o but_o i_o shall_v go_v to_o the_o 4_o the_o heart_n and_o soul_n of_o the_o four_o beast_n and_o four_o and_o twenty_o elder_n and_o the_o odour_n be_v that_o grace_n and_o supplication_n which_o be_v offer_v up_o unto_o the_o lamb_n through_o those_o golden_a vial_n which_o vial_n be_v the_o heart_n and_o soul_n as_o aforesaid_a and_o those_o harp_n be_v the_o tongue_n of_o the_o beast_n and_o elder_n and_o saint_n which_o be_v thereof_o for_o thou_o be_v slay_v and_o have_v redeem_v we_o to_o god_n by_o thy_o blood_n out_o of_o every_o kindred_n &_o tongue_n and_o people_n and_o nation_n that_o be_v thou_o have_v redeem_v we_o to_o thyself_o by_o thy_o own_o blood_n for_o though_o thou_o be_v call_v a_o lamb_n thou_o be_v no_o other_o but_o god_n and_o thy_o blood_n be_v no_o other_o but_o the_o blood_n of_o god_n though_o call_v the_o blood_n of_o the_o lamb._n because_o of_o that_o twofold_a state_n and_o condition_n thou_o be_v in_o and_o as_o the_o work_n of_o redemption_n be_v of_o great_a value_n to_o the_o redeem_a one_o than_o their_o creation_n be_v therefore_o it_o be_v that_o those_o who_o be_v wash_v in_o the_o blood_n of_o the_o lamb_n have_v harp_n give_v they_o to_o sound_v or_o sing_v this_o new_a song_n of_o praise_n and_o thanksgiving_n unto_o he_o that_o have_v wash_v they_o in_o his_o own_o blood_n and_o the_o new_a song_n which_o the_o beast_n and_o elder_n and_o saint_n do_v sing_v be_v set_v down_o in_o the_o 12_o verse_n say_v with_o a_o loud_a voice_n worthy_a be_v the_o lamb_n that_o be_v slay_v to_o receive_v power_n and_o riches_n and_o wisdom_n and_o strength_n and_o honour_n and_o glory_n and_o blessing_n and_o so_o to_o the_o end_n of_o the_o chapter_n give_v praise_n unto_o the_o lamb_n for_o their_o redemption_n and_o this_o be_v that_o new_a song_n which_o the_o beast_n and_o elder_n and_o saint_n shall_v sing_v to_o eternity_n it_o be_v call_v a_o new_a song_n because_o it_o be_v the_o song_n of_o the_o lamb._n for_o there_o be_v but_o two_o song_n in_o all_o to_o wit_v the_o song_n of_o moses_n and_o the_o song_n of_o the_o lamb_n and_o bless_a and_o happy_a be_v all_o those_o that_o can_v true_o sing_v the_o song_n of_o the_o lamb_n to_o know_v they_o be_v redeem_v and_o wash_v in_o his_o blood_n chap._n xv._o now_o i_o have_v give_v the_o interpretation_n of_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v of_o most_o concernment_n in_o the_o 5_o chapter_n i_o shall_v proceed_v to_o open_v the_o chief_a thing_n contain_v in_o the_o 6_o chapter_n in_o the_o first_o verse_n of_o this_o chapter_n john_n see_v in_o his_o vision_n the_o lamb_n open_v the_o seal_n and_o at_o the_o lamb_n open_v of_o the_o first_o seal_n john_n hear_v as_o it_o be_v the_o noise_n of_o thunder_n and_o in_o the_o vision_n one_o of_o the_o four_o beast_n say_v unto_o john_n come_v and_o see_v as_o for_o the_o four_o beast_n you_o may_v remember_v i_o have_v show_v what_o they_o be_v before_o and_o now_o these_o four_o beast_n do_v present_a to_o john_n understanding_n in_o the_o vision_n four_o other_o beast_n as_o in_o a_o figure_n to_o be_v four_o horse_n namely_o a_o white_a horse_n a_o red_a horse_n a_o black_a horse_n and_o a_o pale_a horse_n i_o will_v have_v the_o reader_n to_o mind_v the_o interpretation_n of_o these_o four_o horse_n and_o their_o rider_n for_o there_o be_v one_o call_v he_o that_o sit_v on_o every_o one_o of_o these_o four_o horse_n also_o there_o be_v some_o great_a and_o wonderful_a work_n do_v by_o every_o one_o of_o these_o that_o sit_v on_o these_o horse_n therefore_o call_v the_o open_n of_o the_o seal_n and_o at_o the_o open_n of_o the_o first_o seal_n john_n hear_v as_o it_o be_v in_o the_o vision_n the_o noise_n of_o thunder_n and_o after_o that_o there_o be_v present_v unto_o his_o view_n in_o the_o vision_n a_o white_a horse_n and_o he_o that_o sit_v on_o he_o have_v a_o bow_n and_o a_o crown_n be_v give_v unto_o he_o and_o he_o go_v forth_o conquer_a and_o to_o conquer_v now_o this_o white_a horse_n which_o john_n see_v in_o the_o vision_n it_o be_v the_o righteousness_n of_o the_o saint_n and_o the_o righteousness_n of_o saint_n be_v the_o righteousness_n of_o faith_n for_o it_o be_v paith_n that_o make_v the_o soul_n pure_a and_o white_a in_o the_o blood_n of_o the_o lamb._n according_a to_o that_o say_n revel_v 7._o and_o 13_o and_o 14_o verse_n one_o of_o the_o elder_n answer_v say_v unto_o i_o what_o be_v these_o which_o be_v array_v in_o white_a robe_n and_o in_o the_o 14_o verse_n and_o he_o say_v to_o i_o these_o be_v they_o which_o come_v out_o of_o great_a tribulation_n and_o have_v wash_v their_o robe_n and_o make_v they_o white_a in_o the_o blood_n of_o the_o lamb._n so_o in_o the_o 6_o chapter_n and_o 11_o verse_n where_o it_o be_v say_v and_o white_a robe_n be_v give_v to_o every_o one_o of_o they_o mean_v those_o which_o be_v slay_v under_o the_o altar_n that_o be_v they_o be_v slay_v for_o the_o testimony_n of_o jesus_n therefore_o say_v to_o be_v under_o the_o altar_n because_o christ_n be_v the_o altar_n itself_o many_o more_o place_n of_o scripture_n may_v be_v name_v for_o this_o purpose_n to_o prove_v that_o the_o righteousness_n of_o faith_n be_v those_o white_a robe_n which_o the_o saint_n soul_n be_v clothe_v with_o their_o heart_n be_v purify_v by_o faith_n in_o the_o blood_n of_o the_o lamb._n for_o faith_n do_v dip_v its_o soul_n in_o his_o blood_n so_o that_o all_o original_a and_o actal_a sin_n be_v wash_v away_o as_o clean_o as_o if_o there_o have_v never_o be_v any_o sin_n at_o all_o so_o that_o the_o saint_n or_o seed_n of_o faith_n be_v clothe_v with_o the_o white_a robe_n of_o righteousness_n of_o faith_n it_o be_v the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n he_o be_v the_o author_n of_o it_o by_o wash_v their_o soul_n in_o his_o own_o blood_n so_o that_o they_o become_v as_o white_a as_o snow_n and_o this_o righteousness_n of_o the_o saint_n be_v that_o white_a horse_n and_o the_o first_o horse_n that_o john_n see_v in_o the_o vision_n for_o i_o will_v have_v the_o reader_n to_o understand_v that_o the_o righteousness_n of_o faith_n be_v a_o real_a spiritual_a substance_n as_o the_o righteousness_n of_o the_o law_n be_v yet_o none_o of_o they_o both_o can_v be_v see_v by_o the_o visible_a eye_n of_o sense_n not_o as_o they_o be_v in_o their_o essence_n or_o seed_n but_o by_o the_o effect_n or_o fruit_n they_o be_v know_v for_o effect_n or_o fruit_n do_v proceed_v from_o a_o invisible_a spiritual_a root_n or_o substance_n which_o root_n and_o substance_n be_v faith_n and_o reason_n and_o there_o be_v a_o righteousness_n that_o do_v arise_v from_o each_o of_o these_o which_o have_v their_o several_a effect_n or_o several_a fruit_n so_o that_o the_o tree_n may_v be_v know_v by_o the_o fruit_n that_o be_v the_o righteousness_n of_o the_o law_n may_v be_v know_v and_o distinguish_v from_o the_o righteousness_n of_o faith_n yet_o the_o life_n and_o spirit_n of_o these_o two_o tree_n be_v so_o secret_a and_o invisible_a that_o they_o can_v be_v see_v by_o the_o eye_n of_o sense_n as_o i_o say_v before_o yet_o they_o be_v two_o real_a spiritual_a substance_n that_o do_v bring_v forth_o a_o righteousness_n according_a to_o their_o nature_n that_o be_v the_o righteousness_n of_o the_o law_n and_o the_o righteousness_n of_o faith_n but_o it_o be_v those_o soul_n that_o be_v clothe_v with_o the_o white_a robe_n of_o christ_n righteousness_n of_o faith_n that_o have_v be_v wash_v in_o his_o blood_n and_o this_o be_v that_o white_a horse_n john_n speak_v of_o for_o this_o i_o will_v have_v the_o seed_n of_o faith_n to_o mind_n that_o the_o spirit_n of_o revelation_n in_o john_n do_v compare_v the_o righteousness_n of_o the_o saint_n to_o a_o white_a horse_n also_o this_o i_o will_v have_v you_o to_o mind_n though_o the_o saint_n that_o be_v clothe_v in_o white_a be_v thousand_o and_o million_o and_o innumerable_a yet_o they_o be_v call_v by_o the_o revelation_n of_o the_o spirit_n but_o one_o white_a horse_n now_o whether_o john_n do_v see_v in_o the_o vision_n the_o
sword_n of_o the_o spirit_n which_o be_v in_o the_o saint_n even_o the_o faith_n of_o jesus_n which_o enable_v they_o to_o suffer_v with_o cheerfulness_n the_o spoil_n of_o their_o good_n and_o not_o love_v their_o life_n unto_o the_o death_n rather_o than_o to_o worship_v the_o beast_n or_o his_o image_n and_o this_o be_v that_o deadly_a wound_n that_o the_o beast_n have_v in_o his_o head_n and_o this_o be_v the_o first_o day_n and_o one_o of_o the_o ten_o day_n tribulation_n the_o saint_n do_v undergo_v for_o when_o man_n suffer_v mere_o for_o their_o faith_n of_o jesus_n or_o in_o innocency_n of_o mind_n in_o matter_n of_o worship_n they_o do_v by_o their_o suffering_n wound_v the_o persecutor_n soul_n more_o than_o if_o they_o shall_v turn_v again_o and_o fight_v with_o a_o sword_n of_o steel_n so_o that_o it_o waâ—_n the_o saint_n patient_a suffering_n that_o do_v give_v this_o beast_n as_o john_n speak_v of_o that_o deadly_a wound_n in_o his_o head_n but_o after_o a_o season_n his_o deadly_a wound_n be_v heal_v that_o be_v after_o the_o plague_n of_o his_o heart_n be_v over_o that_o he_o see_v he_o shall_v not_o die_v he_o grow_v more_o worse_o much_o like_o pharaoh_n when_o moses_n have_v take_v away_o the_o plague_n from_o he_o and_o his_o people_n his_o heart_n be_v harden_v and_o make_v more_o cruel_a and_o worse_o so_o be_v it_o with_o this_o beast_n when_o his_o conscience_n have_v the_o fear_n of_o the_o present_a death_n take_v off_o he_o so_o that_o he_o be_v heal_v as_o to_o that_o than_o he_o grow_v worse_a than_o he_o be_v before_o for_o now_o his_o mouth_n utter_v blasphemy_n and_o power_n be_v give_v unto_o he_o to_o continue_v forty_o two_o month_n as_o in_o verse_n the_o five_o these_o forty_o two_o month_n have_v relation_n to_o the_o ten_o persecution_n which_o do_v last_o a_o matter_n of_o three_o hundred_o year_n for_o the_o spirit_n and_o power_n of_o this_o beast_n do_v run_v through_o the_o loin_n of_o all_o they_o seven_o head_n they_o all_o be_v partaker_n of_o the_o dragon_n power_n seat_z and_o authority_n for_o it_o run_v through_o the_o loin_n of_o all_o wicked_a beast_n or_o wicked_a head-magistrate_n for_o they_o have_v all_o the_o spirit_n of_o reason_n even_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o dragon_n though_o not_o in_o such_o a_o measure_n as_o the_o dragon_n have_v so_o that_o the_o power_n of_o this_o beast_n shall_v continue_v in_o himself_o and_o in_o other_o forty_o two_o month_n that_o be_v all_o the_o day_n of_o the_o ten_o persecution_n which_o time_n be_v the_o same_o as_o the_o two_o prophet_n do_v prophesy_v which_o be_v say_v to_o be_v forty_o two_o month_n which_o time_n be_v as_o long_o as_o the_o apostle_n commission_n do_v last_o about_o three_o hundred_o year_n as_o aforesaid_a and_o as_o i_o have_v show_v in_o the_o interpretation_n of_o the_o eleven_o of_o the_o revelation_n chap._n xxxvi_o but_o in_o the_o six_o verse_n the_o 〈◊〉_d that_o be_v heal_v of_o his_o deadly_a wound_n he_o open_v his_o mouth_n in_o blasphemy_n against_o god_n to_o blaspheme_v his_o name_n and_o his_o tabernacle_n and_o they_o that_o dwell_v in_o heaven_n so_o that_o you_o may_v see_v now_o this_o beast_n be_v heal_v of_o his_o wound_n he_o be_v worse_a and_o blaspheme_v more_o against_o the_o live_a god_n and_o against_o his_o tabernacle_n which_o tabernacle_n be_v the_o body_n of_o christ_n and_o those_o that_o dwell_v in_o heaven_n be_v the_o saint_n who_o worship_v by_o faith_n in_o the_o tabernacle_n of_o god_n which_o be_v in_o heaven_n therefore_o say_v to_o dwell_v in_o heaven_n and_o in_o the_o seven_o verse_n it_o be_v give_v he_o that_o be_v the_o beast_n aforesaid_a to_o make_v war_n with_o the_o saint_n and_o to_o overcome_v they_o and_o power_n be_v give_v he_o over_o all_o kindred_n and_o tongue_n and_o nation_n now_o the_o beast_n be_v recover_v of_o that_o wound_n the_o saint_n do_v give_v he_o he_o come_v on_o a_o fresh_a and_o make_v war_n against_o they_o not_o only_o in_o blaspheme_v against_o the_o live_a god_n or_o live_a jesus_n who_o the_o saint_n do_v worship_n and_o serve_v and_o will_v not_o worship_v and_o serve_v those_o that_o have_v faith_n in_o jesus_n therefore_o they_o be_v overcome_v and_o kill_v by_o this_o beast_n but_o the_o other_o the_o kindred_n tongue_n &_o nation_n save_v their_o life_n for_o that_o profess_v themselves_o christian_n as_o well_o as_o heathen_a turk_n and_o pagan_n under_o that_o darkness_n of_o mind_n as_o to_o worship_v false_a god_n idol_n and_o devil_n so_o that_o the_o whole_a world_n may_v be_v say_v to_o worship_v the_o beast_n and_o his_o image_n though_o not_o all_o one_o kind_n of_o image_n for_o every_o opinion_n of_o religion_n in_o the_o world_n have_v one_o image_n or_o other_o to_o worship_n in_o stead_n of_o god_n and_o it_o must_v needs_o be_v so_o because_o the_o world_n do_v not_o know_v the_o true_a god_n in_o his_o form_n and_o nature_n therefore_o they_o worship_v devil_n in_o stead_n of_o god_n though_o in_o divers_a form_n and_o manner_n but_o i_o will_v have_v the_o seed_n of_o faith_n to_o mind_n that_o when_o i_o say_v all_o the_o world_n but_o for_o they_o thou_o have_v give_v i_o out_o of_o the_o world_n and_o that_o thou_o will_v keep_v they_o from_o the_o evil_n of_o the_o world_n so_o that_o the_o scripture_n do_v never_o count_v the_o saint_n the_o world_n though_o they_o be_v in_o the_o world_n so_o that_o the_o scripture_n may_v say_v that_o all_o the_o world_n wander_v after_o the_o beast_n for_o all_o aforesaid_a babylon_n do_v so_o that_o in_o the_o account_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o faith_n this_o spiritual_a babylon_n be_v as_o real_o destroy_v and_o reap_v their_o sin_n be_v ripe_a as_o the_o other_o babylon_n be_v and_o as_o the_o sickle_n be_v thrust_v into_o they_o that_o they_o be_v destroy_v and_o reap_v so_o will_v it_o be_v with_o this_o as_o in_o the_o nineteenth_o verse_n of_o likewise_o this_o sea_n of_o glass_n mingle_v with_o fire_n which_o john_n see_v in_o heaven_n it_o be_v that_o crystal_n sea_n or_o crystal_n water_n like_v unto_o clear_a glass_n which_o be_v before_o the_o throne_n of_o god_n as_o in_o the_o 4_o of_o the_o revelation_n aforesaid_a and_o john_n see_v all_o they_o that_o have_v get_v the_o victory_n over_o the_o beast_n and_o over_o his_o spirit_n do_v speak_v what_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n will_v speak_v in_o case_n there_o be_v time_n give_v man_n to_o see_v such_o a_o destruction_n and_o he_o not_o in_o it_o himself_o so_o likewise_o it_o be_v say_v they_o stand_v afar_o off_o for_o fear_v of_o her_o torment_n that_o stand_v afar_o off_o be_v only_o to_o set_v forth_o what_o the_o mind_n of_o man_n do_v use_v to_o do_v same_o thought_n in_o man_n as_o to_o the_o end_n of_o the_o world_n man_n will_v stand_v afar_o off_o when_o that_o come_v if_o they_o can_v so_o that_o the_o king_n who_o commit_v fornication_n with_o she_o and_o the_o merchant_n that_o be_v make_v rich_a by_o she_o they_o do_v stand_v afar_o off_o in_o their_o mind_n for_o fear_v of_o her_o torment_n but_o they_o be_v quick_o in_o it_o as_o well_o as_o she_o and_o all_o that_o lamentation_n that_o be_v make_v rich_a by_o she_o in_o respect_n of_o that_o riches_n and_o temporal_a costliness_n that_o they_o have_v by_o she_o it_o be_v all_o in_o the_o mind_n of_o man_n and_o will_v have_v do_v so_o indeed_o have_v they_o have_v time_n for_o if_o this_o great_a city_n be_v destroy_v in_o one_o hour_n there_o be_v little_a time_n to_o stand_v afar_o off_o to_o see_v her_o torment_n but_o the_o spirit_n speak_v forth_o what_o be_v in_o the_o nature_n and_o mind_n of_o man_n and_o what_o he_o do_v use_v to_o do_v in_o temporal_a thing_n and_o will_v do_v at_o that_o day_n if_o they_o can_v therefore_o i_o shall_v pass_v by_o all_o their_o lamentation_n alas_o alas_o this_o great_a city_n and_o come_v to_o the_o twenty_o verse_n chap._n lxix_o verse_n the_o twenty_o rejoice_v over_o she_o thou_o heaven_n and_o you_o holy_a apostle_n and_o prophet_n for_o god_n have_v avenge_v you_o on_o she_o here_o the_o reader_n neither_o be_v the_o prophet_n and_o apostle_n as_o yet_o capable_a to_o rejoice_v over_o her_o destruction_n for_o most_o of_o they_o be_v asleep_a in_o the_o dust_n of_o the_o earth_n but_o it_o be_v a_o usual_a thing_n for_o the_o spirit_n to_o speak_v of_o thing_n at_o a_o distance_n as_o at_o present_a be_v because_o god_n that_o be_v truth_n or_o the_o god_n of_o truth_n can_v lie_v but_o will_v give_v unto_o his_o servant_n the_o prophet_n and_o apostle_n the_o thing_n he_o promise_v they_o and_o they_o by_o faith_n believe_v he_o and_o do_v suffer_v persecution_n and_o the_o loss_n of_o their_o life_n by_o this_o city_n babylon_n give_v themselves_o up_o to_o their_o wicked_a will_n depend_v upon_o god_n to_o avenge_v their_o blood_n on_o she_o so_o that_o they_o by_o faith_n do_v obtain_v the_o assurance_n in_o themselves_o that_o god_n will_v avenge_v their_o blood_n on_o she_o again_o the_o revelation_n of_o john_n may_v bid_v they_o rejoice_v because_o it_o
