in_o every_o man_n guide_v he_o as_o appear_v in_o the_o very_a heathen_n who_o have_v no_o other_o help_n but_o this_o common_a light_n but_o alas_o this_o be_v far_o off_o from_o bring_v man_n to_o conversion_n and_o salvation_n this_o knowledge_n of_o god_n be_v but_o dark_a grope_a knowledge_n they_o have_v no_o clear_a distinct_a knowledge_n of_o god_n to_o know_v he_o one_o in_o three_o can_v not_o discern_v the_o least_o knowledge_n of_o jesus_n christ_n come_v in_o the_o flesh_n die_v rise_v again_o etc._n etc._n nor_o of_o the_o new_a covenant_n of_o the_o benefit_n obtain_v by_o his_o blood_n can_v not_o know_v the_o ordinance_n of_o god_n worship_v institute_v by_o he_o nor_o the_o duty_n of_o believe_v in_o christ_n for_o salvation_n and_o for_o sin_n they_o can_v not_o discern_v concupiscence_n to_o be_v sin_n by_o the_o light_n in_o they_o but_o only_o by_o the_o law_n rom._n 7.7_o how_o insufficient_a then_o be_v the_o light_n in_o the_o conscience_n to_o lead_v something_o eminent_a in_o morality_n and_o civil_a conversation_n but_o further_o off_o from_o christianity_n than_o other_o saul_n before_o his_o conversion_n follow_v it_o be_v blameless_a in_o a_o moral_a conversation_n but_o a_o bitter_a enemy_n to_o christ_n this_o light_n lead_v some_o to_o think_v they_o do_v god_n good_a service_n in_o persecute_v his_o servant_n and_o how_o wretched_o some_o have_v be_v delude_v that_o leave_v the_o light_n of_o the_o scripture_n have_v heed_v this_o light_n in_o they_o appear_v sufficient_o by_o the_o relation_n of_o gilpin_n toldervy_n and_o other_o three_o we_o therefore_o maintain_v beside_o the_o common_a light_n that_o god_n have_v give_v to_o all_o a_o necessity_n of_o special_a illumination_n by_o the_o word_n and_o spirit_n of_o and_o their_o substance_n mingle_v and_o confound_v how_o can_v these_o ever_o be_v distinguish_v and_o the_o selfsame_o body_n that_o die_v
