scripture_n lead_v to_o repentance_n and_o to_o lead_v a_o pious_a life_n but_o if_o that_o repentance_n and_o life_n so_o correct_v thereby_o he_o will_v have_v to_o be_v put_v for_o the_o new_a creature_n whilst_o yet_o the_o conscience_n be_v still_o under_o the_o burden_n of_o sin_n then_o be_v it_o erroneous_a for_o whilst_o that_o no_o death_n have_v as_o yet_o happen_v and_o still_o sin_n lie_v so_o powerful_o in_o the_o whole_a man_n that_o by_o mean_n of_o a_o accusation_n it_o often_o drive_v the_o soul_n into_o sadness_n the_o soul_n be_v yet_o under_o the_o law_n for_o by_o the_o law_n in_o our_o conscience_n we_o be_v convince_v of_o sin_n and_o though_o a_o man_n may_v force_v into_o silence_n that_o accusation_n and_o that_o burden_n of_o sin_n that_o torment_v our_o conscience_n and_o that_o by_o scripture-promise_n and_o so_o comfort_v himself_o yet_o it_o must_v be_v confess_v that_o then_o he_o still_o abide_v in_o the_o state_n of_o the_o old_a man_n and_o be_v not_o yet_o arrive_v at_o the_o death_n of_o it_o for_o the_o new_a creature_n be_v not_o subject_a to_o sin_n therefore_o also_o no_o accusation_n of_o the_o law_n in_o the_o conscience_n can_v touch_v it_o for_o then_o a_o man_n live_v whole_o under_o grace_n and_o his_o mind_n stand_v in_o no_o need_n to_o be_v sustain_v by_o the_o external_a comfort_n of_o the_o scripture_n or_o also_o by_o the_o absolution_n from_o sin_n according_a to_o the_o testimony_n of_o scripture_n it_o shall_v bring_v forth_o to_o he_o a_o great_a confidence_n for_o his_o life_n be_v in_o the_o spirit_n and_o consist_v under_o the_o law_n of_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n wherefore_o also_o the_o conscience_n in_o its_o purity_n enjoy_v the_o high_a peace_n remain_v seal_v by_o the_o holy-ghost_n but_o in_o they_o who_o be_v still_o under_o conscience_n the_o law_n of_o sin_n still_o exercise_v its_o power_n and_o conscience_n do_v still_o accuse_v perpetual_o for_o some_o sin_n so_o that_o it_o hence_o appear_v open_o that_o such_o be_v not_o yet_o dead_a to_o the_o law_n because_o the_o accusation_n of_o the_o law_n do_v still_o remain_v in_o its_o power_n so_o long_o as_o by_o the_o transgression_n of_o the_o law_n somewhat_o be_v commit_v against_o conscience_n and_o though_o we_o will_v not_o confess_v that_o we_o be_v under_o the_o law_n or_o under_o the_o accusation_n thereof_o notwithstanding_o that_o there_o can_v be_v no_o accusation_n but_o by_o virtue_n of_o the_o law_n still_o reign_v here_o or_o there_o yet_o be_v the_o thing_n manifest_a by_o conscience_n its_o self_n which_o through_o a_o accusation_n for_o sin_n render_v we_o guilty_a if_o therefore_o we_o can_v stand_v in_o purity_n by_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n according_a to_o the_o inward_a man_n than_o indeed_o the_o law_n by_o its_o virtue_n which_o it_o have_v in_o the_o conscience_n through_o sin_n dare_v not_o so_o assault_v the_o soul_n of_o a_o man_n as_o that_o he_o must_v seek_v comfort_n out_o of_o the_o scripture_n and_o to_o be_v reconcile_v with_o god_n and_o to_o be_v confirm_v by_o
