although_o the_o 25._o verse_n of_o the_o same_o chap._n which_o e._n g._n himself_o allow_v to_o be_v speak_v of_o paul_n a_o regenerate_a man_n must_v necessary_o enforce_v it_o when_o as_o the_o apostle_n say_v there_o therefore_o even_o i_o now_o in_o my_o mind_n do_v serve_v the_o law_n of_o god_n but_o in_o my_o flesh_n the_o law_n of_o sin_n for_o otherwise_o there_o be_v a_o plain_a in_o you_o â—_o same_o verse_n if_o your_o eye_n have_v not_o dazzle_v you_o may_v have_v see_v that_o the_o apostle_n after_o his_o thanks_n give_v for_o his_o deliverance_n from_o the_o danger_n of_o that_o same_o body_n of_o death_n against_o which_o he_o have_v exclame_v confess_v that_o even_o then_o as_o touch_v his_o mind_n he_o serve_v the_o law_n of_o god_n but_o in_o his_o flesh_n the_o law_n of_o sin_n which_o place_n be_v as_o clear_a as_o the_o sunshine_n not_o only_o to_o show_v the_o falsehood_n of_o your_o first_o reason_n against_o our_o interpretation_n of_o the_o 7._o to_o the_o rom._n but_o also_o to_o prove_v so_o your_o great_a shame_n the_o truth_n of_o the_o general_a assertion_n aforesaid_a namely_o that_o the_o regenerate_v be_v not_o free_a from_o sin_n yet_o these_o be_v not_o all_o the_o foil_n you_o receive_v by_o it_o for_o it_o cut_v likewise_o the_o throat_n of_o your_o second_o reason_n before_o it_o have_v time_n to_o draw_v one_o breath_n of_o life_n for_o where_o you_o say_v therefore_o after_o this_o he_o thank_v god_n in_o christ_n that_o he_o be_v deliver_v from_o that_o body_n of_o sin_n which_o make_v he_o to_o do_v that_o evil_a he_o will_v not_o and_o to_o leave_v undo_v the_o good_a he_o will_v you_o will_v make_v we_o believe_v that_o paul_n in_o this_o place_n be_v a_o change_a man_n so_o as_o he_o can_v no_o more_o sin_n unwillinglie_o as_o before_o which_o purpose_n of_o you_o now_o you_o see_v be_v prevent_v and_o therefore_o your_o reason_n spoil_v yet_o ere_o i_o pass_v i_o must_v admonish_v the_o reader_n to_o know_v not_o how_o they_o have_v be_v this_o way_n abuse_v beside_o it_o be_v not_o comuenient_a in_o cite_v of_o scripture_n to_o sow_v any_o piece_n of_o our_o own_o into_o it_o without_o put_v some_o partition_n wall_n betwixt_o or_o bring_v in_o the_o servant_n in_o some_o differ_a weed_n from_o his_o master_n that_o the_o one_o be_v not_o take_v for_o the_o other_o of_o the_o comer_n in_o paul_n be_v now_o deliver_v from_o that_o body_n of_o sin_n as_o make_v he_o do_v the_o evil_a he_o will_v not_o two_o thing_n in_o their_o substance_n flat_a contrary_n though_o change_n of_o word_n civil_a man_n in_o this_o life_n so_o far_o forth_o as_o he_o see_v it_o expedient_a for_o preservation_n of_o the_o generality_n of_o thing_n that_o his_o heart_n be_v never_o take_v with_o love_n of_o the_o law_n of_o god_n his_o mind_n never_o delight_v in_o it_o much_o less_o his_o will_n and_o purpose_n bend_v to_o practice_v it_o all_o the_o civil_a honesty_n of_o his_o life_n come_v from_o some_o unclean_a fountain_n of_o worldly_a respect_n for_o some_o be_v restrain_v and_o keep_v back_o with_o shame_n some_o with_o fear_n of_o law_n from_o break_v out_o into_o many_o sort_n that_o paul_n describe_v in_o himself_o verse_n as_o that_o contrariwise_o he_o be_v become_v by_o it_o much_o more_o sinful_a &_o his_o affection_n bring_v to_o a_o great_a outrage_n of_o rebellion_n than_o before_o how_o far_o the_o hypocrite_n by_o his_o enlighten_v can_v go_v beyond_o the_o mere_a natural_a man_n i_o be_o not_o ignorant_a as_o appear_v hereafter_o but_o neither_o have_v the_o he_o who_o the_o lord_n have_v sanctify_v by_o his_o spirit_n and_o make_v fit_a to_o endure_v it_o and_o so_o it_o follow_v that_o those_o that_o have_v arm_v thus_o the_o natural_a man_n and_o bring_v he_o forth_o to_o the_o list_n for_o so_o honourable_a a_o enterprise_n must_v be_v content_a to_o suffer_v loss_n of_o their_o labour_n and_o receive_v the_o regenerate_a man_n who_o the_o king_n of_o king_n have_v make_v worthy_a into_o his_o place_n the_o rest_n of_o e._n g._n answer_n to_o this_o place_n as_o that_o those_o affection_n paul_n mention_v may_v be_v some_o good_a motion_n and_o inspiration_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n which_o wicked_a man_n may_v have_v be_v but_o a_o toy_n of_o his_o idle_a brain_n without_o proof_n a_o beg_n of_o the_o controversy_n and_o sufficient_o by_o this_o that_o be_v say_v disprove_v i_o will_v spend_v no_o further_o time_n withal_o and_o thus_o have_v gain_v this_o place_n of_o the_o seven_o to_o the_o roman_n i_o scripture_n the_o first_o be_v whereas_o paul_n witness_v of_o himself_o that_o he_o have_v a_o prick_n in_o the_o flesh_n and_o that_o 9_o god_n will_v not_o deliver_v he_o from_o that_o weakness_n e._n g._n say_v they_o pervert_v this_o scripture_n what_o be_v his_o reason_n because_o the_o apostle_n show_v that_o this_o be_v a_o prick_n painful_a not_o delightful_a to_o the_o flesh_n as_o be_v can_v attain_v to_o do_v even_o whatsoever_o in_o y_z e_z rightness_n of_o their_o mind_n they_o will_v have_v cause_n to_o labour_v so_o much_o the_o more_o to_o follow_v the_o spirit_n and_o forsake_v the_o way_n their_o flesh_n stir_v they_o unto_o in_o all_o thing_n but_o such_o be_v your_o condition_n by_o reason_n of_o the_o sight_n between_o the_o flesh_n and_o the_o spirit_n two_o mere_a contrary_n and_o therefore_o you_o have_v so_o much_o great_a cause_n to_o take_v heed_n to_o this_o exhortation_n now_o as_o you_o see_v this_o argument_n lie_v plain_a according_a to_o the_o exhort_v to_o forsake_v the_o flesh_n and_o follow_v the_o spirit_n among_o other_o argument_n he_o have_v this_o for_o if_o you_o live_v according_a to_o the_o flesh_n you_o shall_v die_v but_o if_o by_o the_o spirit_n you_o mortify_v the_o action_n of_o the_o body_n you_o shall_v live_v he_o can_v not_o make_v we_o believe_v therefore_o that_o paul_n be_v so_o rude_a a_o workman_n as_o he_o suit_n again_o by_o most_o untrue_o charge_v our_o minister_n and_o that_o without_o offer_v any_o proof_n to_o teach_v that_o the_o inner_a man_n of_o the_o regenerate_a be_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n which_o i_o can_v not_o think_v he_o do_v as_o have_v receive_v it_o either_o by_o speech_n or_o write_v from_o any_o of_o account_n on_o our_o side_n but_o because_o the_o adamant_n rock_n of_o free_a will_n and_o man_n ability_n have_v such_o power_n to_o work_v his_o shipwreck_n and_o therefore_o he_o labour_v not_o only_o to_o overthrow_v our_o suppose_a opinion_n of_o the_o inner_a man_n but_o also_o above_o all_o to_o establish_v the_o natural_a man_n with_o as_o many_o prerogative_n as_o we_o give_v the_o regenerate_a man_n concern_v a_o sanctify_a life_n that_o so_o by_o that_o mean_n his_o regenerate_a man_n may_v sit_v above_o the_o star_n &_o attain_v to_o that_o in_o this_o life_n which_o we_o have_v no_o promise_n for_o but_o in_o the_o life_n to_o come_v in_o answer_v whereunto_o i_o hope_v many_o word_n will_v not_o be_v look_v for_o though_o he_o in_o this_o point_n be_v large_a than_o ordinary_a partly_o because_o i_o may_v not_o follow_v his_o humour_n where_o every_o man_n see_v that_o can_v read_v the_o 1._o verse_n of_o the_o epistle_n to_o the_o ephe._n unless_a e._n g._n presuine_v so_o far_o of_o his_o singular_a cunning_n in_o convey_n that_o he_o can_v bring_v his_o natural_a man_n into_z y_z â—_o number_n of_o the_o true_a saint_n and_o faithful_a one_o who_o the_o apostle_n call_v upon_o in_o that_o epistle_n to_o put_v off_o the_o old_a
