faintness_n and_o sickness_n even_o so_o it_o be_v with_o we_o in_o respect_n of_o grace_n the_o life_n of_o our_o soul_n for_o that_o soul_n which_o be_v destitute_a of_o grace_n be_v dead_a while_o the_o second_o be_v the_o abate_n of_o our_o spiritual_a taste_n when_o we_o find_v not_o the_o sweetness_n and_o comfort_n in_o the_o word_n which_o former_o we_o have_v do_v when_o we_o feed_v not_o upon_o the_o word_n with_o that_o desire_n and_o appetite_n which_o once_o we_o do_v this_o argue_v some_o distemper_n in_o the_o soul_n for_o as_o in_o bodily_a meat_n when_o they_o grow_v as_o well_o as_o former_o we_o have_v do_v evil_a concoction_n of_o onr_a meat_n argue_v a_o cold_a stomach_n or_o at_o least_o a_o abatement_n of_o the_o native_a heat_n so_o when_o people_n digest_v not_o god_n word_n the_o food_n of_o their_o soul_n but_o vomit_v it_o up_o again_o either_o by_o storm_v against_o it_o censure_v of_o it_o or_o wilful_o neglect_v the_o power_n and_o practice_n of_o it_o it_o be_v a_o sign_n of_o decline_v in_o grace_n four_o and_o last_o if_o there_o be_v a_o cold_a drowsy_a and_o formal_a performance_n of_o the_o duty_n of_o god_n worship_n and_o service_n when_o a_o man_n be_v not_o so_o cheerful_a and_o lively_a unto_o &_o in_o good_a duty_n as_o of_o old_a this_o argue_v a_o decay_a of_o his_o spiritual_a strength_n
grace_n to_o bewail_v the_o want_n of_o grace_n and_o to_o be_v earnest_a with_o the_o lord_n for_o a_o supply_n thereof_o if_o thou_o be_v in_o any_o bodily_a want_n or_o necessity_n town_n and_o pluck_v up_o root_n and_o rind_n of_o all_o such_o weed_n as_o may_v overgrow_v choke_v and_o hinder_v the_o prosper_v of_o grace_n one_o main_a and_o rank_n weed_n be_v spiritual_a pride_n and_o selfe-conceitednesse_a which_o grow_v too_o fast_o in_o the_o best_a soil_n be_v water_v and_o cherish_v by_o the_o devil_n who_o when_o he_o can_v procure_v the_o child_n of_o god_n to_o stoop_v to_o his_o lure_n and_o bite_v at_o his_o bait_n of_o impiety_n and_o profaneness_n then_o labour_v he_o to_o poison_v he_o with_o his_o own_o venom_n to_o puff_n he_o up_o and_o make_v he_o swell_v with_o
